I love how the paint job tells a story of change from an old cargo vessel to battered war ship (Of sorts)

The Rotorheads on Mad max server need a bridge layer that just drops a massive heavy armor ramp for the bikes to get over trenches (I know there's already that ramp thing, but a bridge would be even better)
Also, if the bridge just gets dropped off the vehicle when deployed, as a purely armor block grid - the turrets won't target it.
The CZcamsr Captain Jack used a variant of this vessel in his Colony Lost series which I then created a LEGO built version (not to scale) which took absolutely forever. I am still fascinated by the design and am glad you covered it in a video!
- Start with fighter engines switched off.
- Use timer block A to switch off connectors so the fighters drop from carrier.
- Timer block A also activates a delayed Timer block B
- Timer block switches engines on as well as back thruster override.
= fighters that automatically launched themselves forward towards the enemy. For better results, use the scenario tools and stick characters in the fighters, then switch into the characters after they've launched themselves forwards.
Beyond amazing what people can do in this game.

-A rear bottom connector, front rover bay,
I front of rover bay is a little landing pad for a small personal fighter delta-7 works nicely with it, and more downward facing turrets as there were only one before-

The ship looks absolutely amazing. The only problem I see, is the amount of pistons and connectors, that probably need quite some sim speed on a server and provoke clang

If only keen fixed the inertia dampeners calculation problem when you have subgrids on a ship
Edit: What i mean is how if you have rotor or pistons that have stuff on them, you just start to slowly go down depending on how much weight is on them, like if you have blast doors or something that act as hangar doors, the ship goes down. You can see this happening at the beginning when he's in spectator mode. It only does it when you're in gravity. It's just something that bugs me.
One of oh so many reasons most people who intend to survive engagements in pvp never ever ever use rotors, pistons or any moving part of any sort, grids attached to grids is always a recipe for dying in a time where you need everything to work right (like combat) moving parts is like intentionally pointing a shotgun at your own feet and pulling the trigger while trying to win a marathon. Why? Because Keen never ever fixed the rotors and pistons problem.

Needs more dakka.. For pirates I mean seems kinda telly tubby gun wise maybe some sort of grapple hook? 😅 A working grapple hook to grab ships bring them to you for salvage that's how pirates roll no? 😏
Also needs decoys behind multiple layers of armor. And maybe some fixed armaments so it can at least return fire should it get caught flat footed and not have all the pea shooters it uses as hull deterrents ruined by someone else using decoys.
Compared to Empyrion this is where Space Engineers excels: seamless transition for textures on blocks. Also an awesome release mechanism for fighters is not available in Empyrion. Eleon studios did add weight limitation and cpu shortage to their system to create a more realistic environment. How so realistic? The world is outside if u want to be realistic! Anyway i want to give my compliments for this nice carrier and how Space Engineers evolves.

I kinda wanna see a super laser cut the nacelles off & see it crash from as high a height as possible.
Its absolutely beautifully designed from an aesthetic perspective. From a functional perspective however, I have some strong opinions: as a pirate vessel there's some major faux passe's for a vehicle designed to take things from other players, engines on sponsons is a big no no from a pvp perspective (for obvious reasons, take off the sponson with explosive fire and the ship loses a significant amount of thrust, most pvpers will aim for these the moment they see them). Windows and exposed area's (never ever with the windows and other poorly armored decorative stuff, waste of mass, thus a waste of performance, solely for the sake of aesthetics, you want to be a streamlined shark in the water, not a showy lionfish moving like a brick waiting to be gobbled up), much less a clearly defined bridge exposed on the hull are all big no no's (Rule #1 of PVP, never make it obvious to the enemy how to make a ship go deadstick, I always aim for these spots when I find these kind of design mistakes in pvp). The drop ships using rotors on their wings are also a major no-no from a pvp perspective (grids attached to grids just always goes horribly wrong when you need everything to run smoothly in combat. Avoid moving parts). In all, its beautiful, but treat it like a mothership should be treated if you intend to fly it...IE: not a frontline ship...and use your own fighters to launch from it, cause those rotors will cause klang. If you're piloting this and it winds up a frontline combattant, expect to be wreckage, fast. A gorgeous showroom vessel, however.
When i build ships i tend to go for modularity and standardized ship sizes. ie. Every hull i have made is at thier core are identical because they came from the same blueprint with additional tacked on bits. I tend to prefabricate ship parts to hasten building. As a result they tend to be bland and suffer a bit when going against more specialized ships.

As a Space Pirate Persona, it Looks good. My own pirate ship is a way stripped down little thing. But my spidey sence tells me that it would likely not be very multiplayer safe. Too many moving parts. :(
