I love how MatPat plays the tutorials, but uses none of what he’s learned. No hiding in the lockers after failing the puzzles (since he knows the monster sees failed puzzle attempts from his time as the monster) and no sabotaging when he was the monster. 😂

Having writing be gibberish depending on which character you are is a very interesting concept.
If the big toys are supposed to be children, it would make a lot of sense for them to not know how to read as well...
19:53 - I think this voice is the same one that's been speaking to our protagonist in the main game. Notice how he ends his first line with 'get up'? That's what appears at the end of (almost) every death message in Chapters 1&2. Somehow, whoever is speaking must be keeping us alive so that we can destroy the Playtime factory - and I'm betting it's the Prototype.
EDIT: Also, did anyone else notice they changed the chapter titles from 'The main antagonist of Chapter 3 was TOM!' to 'To hunt lore or choose violence?' I wonder why.

The description for Mommy Long Legs pointing out the fact that she (the monster) was created first before the toy version was created afterwards is really interesting, because it's subtly hinting that it is possible for the monsters we see in the main game (poppy playtime) to have been created before their toy counterparts. This would mean that any date one has for the any toy's creations (actual toys not monsters) doesn't necessarily mean that the toy monster counterparts had to have been created at the same date or later; it could have been years prior. Which might mess up some timelines people have, well, if one considers this spinoff to be canon.
Oh and the game is cool; great game design as well, so much potential.

I find it interesting that Mommy can see through walls. This explains how she seemed to know where we were the entire time during Chapter 2 of Poppy Playtime.
This game looks super cool, but that release day was a hot mess! Glad they seem to have gotten things sorted out
uhhhhhhh, sure, totally.
With even games from AAA studios still being a hot mess on release day *cough* cyberpunk *cough*, I give these smaller people with less experience more leeway cuz no one's gonna get it perfect the first try. It's more about how well they are able to get it back on track that I look at.
@@AshChiCupcak Oh TOTALLY, they handled this lil incident really well in my opinion, AAA studios don't even deal with their games this well most of the time, but MOB games got things cleared up and had a new release date not even a day later. I'm confident that any other bugs and minor issues will be sorted out soon

Hey Matt aren’t these puzzle pillars at least the piano one and the reaction test one similar to the tests chapter 2 which were used for choosing viable candidates for turning kids into toys? That seems a bit suspicious in my opinion.

@@stardazed5341 These aren't adult subjects (there are none) these are employees who work at the factory. I'm guessing the puzzles exist so only humans can make toys seeing as the toys are sentient (only toy smart enough to is the hand one we haven't fully seen yet).

I would think Mommy Long Legs could do the puzzles, tho. She seemed to be aware enough of her surroundings and situation to do them.
Matpat: does the tutorial on stream so it's s still fresh in his mind. The tutorial: if you go in the hole three times you're dead. Matpat: throws ash in the hole 3 times anf then reacts with "oh no" when it's confirmed she died. I think there's some hidden lore here that mat likes to be a bit sadistic lol

I think Boxy Boo is an appropriate name, and is apparently the offical name. All the characters are supposed to have childish cutesy names cause they're 'geared towards children' in the game so it makes sense to me that it's a cheesey name

Mommy Long Legs is definitely the strongest monster. Crazy movement, slowing ability, and seeing through walls is a terrifying combo
I love that they gave us a tour of the gt offices. Mat running around and bashing his employees and tossing them down holes because they aren't looking for lore. Typical day at work for the gt team

edit: so not to be creepy, but I found Mirror Matt's linkedn account and it says he left the Theorists in September 2022 and now works for a company in Chicago. I'm sad we arent going to hear his witty banter with MatPat anymore, but I'm still very happy with Ash's addition to the team. They always have the best stories and back to backs with Matt. We miss you mirror matt, best of luck to the rest of your career!!!

It's nice to see the randoms apply strategy with hiding and closing doors. I wonder if anyone used the lockers, I didn't see anyone try them; surprisingly. I think Mommy is definitely the best monster to use; I can imagine just hanging from the ceiling or upper walls and watching for players. I feel like the puzzles may be a little too time consuming, but the game has potential.
honestly ive gotten use to the puzzles, piano is the only one that i dont like cuz it takes too much time to do, but there is a perk that helps with that. Also hiding in lockers is not always a good option since you make noice when you get in them and while you are in them, so you are better off hiding behind a pillar or in a dark corner with a character fully colored black

I doubt this will ever be seen, but Matpat, I am BEGGING you to forgive more group plays with Team Theorist. I laughed so hard I got yelled at for interrupting my parents' murder mystery show. Actually it would be Daddy long legs. This is actually the original source of Mommy's name, as the Daddy Long Legs is a very common species of bug which is commonly mistaken as a spider.

This game seems impossible to lost as the monster unless the monster glitch's. The puzzles take too long, and the monsters are difficult to get away from once they find you.
It's surprising to me that Matt hasn't explored more games in this style like DBD or Friday the 13th

Yo! I was PinchedAtol160 at the end there, the Z squares fellow was my friend. We were playing non stop that day Project Playtime and as for your comment of "how did these guys get into our private game?" I have one thing to say.... I have no idea, we were joining thru quick play and after one of us joined a lobby we invited the other person, sorry if we caused any troubles but we didn't even know it was a private game, in fact we thought you were a fake and now here we are.... also yea Tom c'mon no camping that was rude we were over here trying to come up with a whole plan to distract you and everything to at least get that one toy part, you can even see me trying to get his attention so my friend completes the puzzle XD. (sorry for any spelling errors english isn't my main language xd)

My theory for this game is that the toys are being tested for intelligence and strength, and the survivors are building toys as a way for corporate to rationally justify sending them down there so they'll willingly go.

I absolutely love this game. It’s way too addictive and I’m terrified how much more addictive it will get when the game comes out of Early Access.
I would like to recommend playing a nancy drew game. They are detective point and click games. I would specifically recommend the ghost of Thornton hall. It's an amazing game, and I would love to see your rection to it.😊
