God bless you and keep you!
Beau would have loved this, he often believed that the United States should be the world's EMT, not the world's policeman.
I was going to say the same 😸
I agree 💯
I feel like Beau may get some of these popping along his feed as well; I'm pretty sure I started getting them as recommendations from watching Beau
I thought the same thing as Rev Ed was talking about it!
I found this feed from Beau,
Beau is and Reverend Ed seem to reference each other every once in a while.
Um "would have"?
Frmr Sen Al Franken tells a story: He was sitting in a communal room in the Capitol. Sen Bernie Sanders enters saying, “They want to cut food stamps for the poor! What religion does that?” Franken answers, “Southern Baptist “
Sadly the people calling for a Christian Nation would never go for this kind of thinking. Their vision of Christianity is forcing everyone to do what they believe God wants, It's not about service or allowing others to live in peace.
I am an atheist and one of my coworkers who is a Christian looked me in the eyes and told me that I'm one of the best Christians she ever met, to someone who wears a Baphomet necklace. Even telling me how kind and sweet I am when I didn't think or know if I was even making any difference. Well, hearing those words from her, I couldn't help the tears that came.
Awesome! I bet she's right
@@revedtrevors4961 Thank you 🩵🥹 I just do the best I can. People see my necklace and become petrified 😂 and some would listen when I tell them what it symbolizes and others would just argue with me and judge. I really enjoy your videos and keep being the wonderful person you are.🩵😊
If each 'rich' ņation was this sort of Christian nation, we could wipe out poverty and hunger. Due to a lack of greed and aggression, we could end wars. If those with the resources actually followed Jesus's commands it would be an amazing world.
❤
Your message is spot on Reverend! Excellent work. We are blessed to be able to have you in our lives.
What if at least one individual "Christian" nationalist hears your truly Christian message and converts to a truly Christian way of life. That would be something to behold, Rev.Trevors.
My dream!
Can we give God a break? Besides a universe to look after, There's more than 8 billion people on this tiny rock. We act like siblings who keeps asking the same old question...am I your favorite? He gave us the guidance and taught us the lessons. He also gave us free will. It's time to apply it and be responsible for our actions.
They always seem to want God or someone else to do the hard part. But that's not what Christians are supposed to be about. It reminds me of a song by Matthew West called "Do Something."
"Preach the Gospel at all times. If necessary, use words."
If Christians who talk about making the country great really believe the bible they wouldn't feel the need to try to force their will on people. They wouldn't be so focused on sin but on being kind. And if they actually did that then they'd get a lot of the things they claim to want and no one would have any problem with them having that power. But the people who spend most of their time talking about us being a Christian Nation don't actually want to act out the Gospel they just want to use it as a weapon to gather power and force their identity politics on other people.
As someone who does believe the bible I am angered by their use of the Lord's name in vein and their literal blasphemy.
Rev Ed Trevors, you astound me every day with your heartfelt truly loving discussions that are so God and Jesus inspired - just amazing - the world needs many more of you. Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you. (Sorry to gush so much - what you said today struck my heart deeply!)
Project 2025: Roadmap to The Republic of Gilead.
I don’t know man, I don’t really want to handle snakes. LOL
Mad props to you as always, Rev! Keep fighting the good fight!
They say a big amen my brother. We in the United States will never be great until we do as you say become the servant of all. Until we reach out to everyone regardless of race religion etcetera.😊
What is this "reaching out". We just have to stop interfering in folks private lives.
Rev Ed perfect Rant ,you hit the Home run on this Discussion..A true Christian nation would have Health care for all, No Homeless, Affordable housing, And most important would love everyone fully all people believers and non believers and other religions, And would be Good Stewardship of the Earth.. Scientists and Environmental people say Project 2025 good actually destroy the Earth set us further back , climate change would be uncontrollable... God Bless 🕊️
I do not agree with your last sentence. Climate Change as peddled by the Global Left has zero to do with the environment. Frankly it destroys it. The original handler of AOC said as much out loud one day when he said climate change is not about the environment but about changes in the economy.
Getting minerals for Electric cars in Africa destroys not only the landscape there but also uses black children to do slave labor day in day out. Windmills destroy forests and farm land, not to speak about birds, wildlife and sealife. you think that banning gas stoves will help the environment while wars started by the US and EU destroy half of the planet?
Everyone would be housed. Everyone would have free and equal access to food, and clothing, and all necessities.
Money doesn't exist anymore. We work to provide for all.
The abundance comes from the fact we don't force a chunk of our people to not work to drive down wages.
Isn’t that the pure definition of government…providing for others, serving others? Excellent video Reverend!
"I see things that never were, and ask: why not?" - RFK Sr.
Beautiful imagery! It brought tears to my eyes, wanting it so fervently!
Mostly everything I tell people about exists in the world already and Americans think its make believe.
Fabulous message..now the challenge: to truly live it❤️
Amen amen amen
Beautiful!! Thank you, Reverend Ed.
Oh, Hi Ed! Joanna and I were just talking about you...
All good, of course!
Gotta serve em all would make a great Pokémon go spinoff game. You throw a poke ball at a soup kitchen that means you volunteer for a time.
😂
Wow - great sermon - share the abundance - sad thing is God knows it will never happen in this world - hence Revelations - but he has told us that we must be his light and follow him while we are here. God Bless you Rev Ed - with love from🇨🇦🇨🇦
It never ceases to amaze me how so many people can get it 180-degrees wrong.
Thank you!
Thank you deeply for this message brother. It really hit me in a deep and profound way. 🙏🏽🙏🏽 Praise God! Thank you Father Ed Trevors
Thank you. It is so nice to hear actual loving teachings.
A grand nation would be one where folk can pursue their religion, raise their children as they choose
Beyond that the State has no role to interfere in our private lives.
Wow, yes.
A Christian Nation:
No hunger
No water issues
No homelessness, open borders
No threadbare people at the exit ramps freezing and asking for spare change
No one denied health care, including mental health care, addiction care
No one left to languish in prison
Please refer to Matthew 25:31-46
The one thing I've learned in my life is that we know nothing. In the words of the great Eryca Badu( A Man That Knows Something Knows That He Knows Nothing At All.
Imagine being a "civil servant". You really nailed it here. Thank you!
“The significant problems we face today are not going to be solved at the same level of thinking that we had when we created them.” Albert Einstein
Thanks for the message. I will have to work on this. Help the lowly.
Thank you Rev. Ed Trevors.
Wow - I was talking to God this morning and I discussed how it would be wonderful if more would believe and get to know him. He will draw more to him at his time. He told me to just remember to keep his second command as well as the first. Reminding me to love others as I love myself. I must love myself- the one abiding in me -
New video game: "PokeChrist"-gotta serve 'em all.
Amen 👍👍👍👍👍
Amen.
so true the servant of all is the greatest amongst us ,, thanks for your message
You always make my day Rev Ed! I wish I lived near you & your church. I would start attending church again. 🙏 Namaste
Bright Blessing on you sir. You state the obvious.
This is awesome! So grateful I found your channel❤🤗
ESPECIALLY THOSE ONES!!!😊
Sharon McMahon is also working on reviewing project 2025 in her newsletter The Preamble
to me - one of the most troubling aspects of a "christian nation" it that , in the past few years, the Methodist church has split into factions, so too the Baptists, while the Catholics, Jews and even Islamists have fractured over centuries!
Who has the last word? By what power will that word be applied and - by through what power will that word be enforced?
Spitting is what Christianity is: we live in a liberal democratic era and can pursue what Works view we choose and raise our families as we see best
I certainly don't want to go back to where kings and Higher ups told us what to do.
Take faith, seek God's will,
trust in his purpose for your life,
not for an end reward,
but for the salvation of daily life.
John 10:34
"Even the least among you can do all that I have done and even greater things"
I've always believed that we don't know who a person is and we can't judge a book by its cover. With that, I believe that the Lord won't come back wearing fancy clothes, driving a big car with a marching band. He'll be one of the lowly, poor, a person who people look at with disrespect and disgust. You should want to treat people right, the only difference is the circumstance. That person that we don't want to be around because they're dirty, homeless and hungry or people think is crazy, could be the lord himself.
Have you read Lowell’s old poem “The Vision of sir Launfal” which describes a haughty knight going out young, coming home older and wiser, encountering a leper with whom he shares his bread, breaks ice in the river to give him a drink, and the leper transforms to the glorified Christ. You might enjoy reading it. It’s not too long and makes me weep each time.
Then again She might ... Who can say. Perhaps He has already been and we missed Them.
Well said Rev. Ed!
Amen ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
To be fair, many Gospel-believing Christians did try to bring forth a new nation in America that followed Christ's teachings. Those teachings form what is now the liberal side of the political spectrum. People may say America was Christian at its founding, but it was liberal at its founding too. If you try to honestly follow the Gospels, you will arrive at liberal views. Just the facts.
That's why our political leaders are called public servants. It is why our Constitution did not provide a standing army, and did away with kings and rule by the Church. These were planet-shaking, profoundly new liberal ideas that brought the modern world.
That's why the hate-rabies that overtook the American church was such a vile betrayal.
Nobody needs a weekly book club to be a decent person who contributes to human flourishing.
Go to the Vatican, you will see it. “Colorful robes” and all.
Amen 🙏
Though i have different ideas, I am enjoying your content. i hope lost Maga christians can find lessons in your words.Thank you.
I would love to see that
I'm sure that the feeling, the knowing that our politicians and businesses don't attempt to serve us resonates in a lot of places globally right now.
I'm so sick and tired of listening to hateful nonsense about 'The Others,' being the reason everything is so broken:
Infrastructure, the economy, public services, local and national sense of community.
Then being told we're broke and the poor/ working poor/ sick/ disabled need to pay higher prices and taxes.
While the rich who pay less tax than us, get more tax breaks!!
Our concern is that people who feel similar to us follow far right parties and their millionaire, men of the people.
We agree on 90% of the problems, but as you say differ on 90% of the causes, therefore possible solutions!!
That Contrafax is a cool dude 😎
They have lost their way to the temptations of the world: money and power, then using the money and power to do bad things to their fellow mankind, and just want more and more for themselves. Truly not on the path preached by Jesus.
You, Rev Trevors, that love is a resounding them throughout the new testament. The MAGA party fails abysmally at walking in love, feeding the hungry, etc. A truly great Christian nation would be a nation of love and compassion. There would be no homelessness, no racism, no ageism, etc.
Trump: "Make America pray again." He said that. Coercive evangelism, just what we need.
Back in 8th grade, I read the book Johnny Tremain by Esther Forbes. The theme is the book is about pride with the looming American Revolution as a backdrop. There's a scene early on where Johnny's silversmith master has him read from Leviticus and Proverbs, and how pride is bad. This was a very influential book on me, and humility is a very important value to me. This also made me think about American nationalism, how we take pride in our country, flag, military, freedoms, and even Christian values. Would God like this country? Not especially. This is what put me off of nationalism.
There's a video game called Sid Meier's Civilization, a turn-based strategy game where you lead a civilization in all facets from the Stone Age to the not too distant future, and there's a variety of ways to win the game, including a Religious Victory. To accomplish this, at least half of every other civilization's cities must follow your chosen religion. So when Jesus said to preach to all the nations, conservatives see it as "I want a Religious Victory. When everyone is a Christian, God wins. Never mind the whole prophecy of the end times thing, we can probably skip that."
I read that book…” So a man can stand up.” Preaching can speak loudest when the speech is a Christian act of kindness.
A Christian means to have a personal relationship with Christ. The book 7 Traits of Highly Effective People refers to Locus of Control. Where should a person hold their center? If a person's identity is based on a center outside their self, one risks loosing the foundation of their self. The Bible says God is in us all. Jesus says to love our neighbor as our self. A great nation is full of good Christians as Christ fills the hearts of man. How can we have a great Christian nation when we force the people to live like Jesus and we neglect our neighbor? More importantly, when I give up my possessions to follow Jesus can I keep my guitar?
Preach it, Brother. I suspect many former slaves will be exalted. Wouldn’t that be a shock for the MAGA crowd?
I want to be there on that day!
In a truly great Christian country there would be no homeless no matter their circumstances and there would be no hungry and no sick(insofar as thats possible) and we would move out into the world to provide and give succor to all other nations. We would eliminate all hunger and homelessness in our adversity countries first.
Britain has had squatters rights since King James put the Bible together.
I friggin love this channel and I'm an atheist. Being an atheist, it is odd that I donate to Rev Trevors (and proud of it!) 😂😂
A thorough reading, and thus understanding of the Bible shows that God is “nonbinary” and Jesus was raised by two dads.
When the video started I was reminded of John 6:15. Jesus doesn’t want to be forced into leadership. It’s the same attitude that you ended with…. Serving, not forcing others. You are right… that would be quite a different culture! I have heard of Christian men who treat all their belongings as gifts from God. You cannot steal anything from them; it belongs to God. They freely share if they feel God wants them to. All depends on God. And they don’t get emotionally involved.
I would love to get into this, but the first thing that comes to mind is Reagan saying the worst woulds you could here someone say is, "I'm from the government and I'm here to help." We've been helping nations to our military industrial complex for too long now. Do you know why avocados are available? Mexican gangs took over production. American foreign policy is absolute lunacy, never mind the craziness inside our borders.
I'm listening to these accurate thoughts, words right after reading about the newest religious edict from the elected Director of Public Education in Oklahoma...and I'm wondering where the lions actually are
You are spot on, Rev!
No one would be unhoused, hungry, cold/hot or medicaly untreated. Root out corruption, no matter what it is. Thats what is holy.
Unfortunately, its all about power with these people. If they somehow do come into power (G-d help us), and they find out how hard it is to rule, when something goes wrong they would start finger pointing, saying its all the fault of .
Another philosophical bullseye, Ed...*applauds*
What does it mean to serve?
Do we get to draw a line against abuse?
ie: family. Do I accept their insults and devaluations to serve them? Im I serving them by letting use me as a bag to hold their misplaced self angst and self-hatred?
I guess, what does it mean to serve?
Our*Vision

A vision of cooperation... NOT conflict,
A vision of unity... NOT division,

We are not A Christian nation, we are a nation where you are free to be Christian or whatever religion yiu choose.
Christ is ALREADY in power. In heaven. He never said his kingdom was of this world.
The United States is a Christian Nation and the U.S. Constitution guarantees freedom of religion; to worship any god or no god. We don't need to make the U.S. great or Christian as we are already great, and Christian. We proclaim "our Lord" in Article VII. Of the U.S. Constitution. The Supreme Court has stated we are a Christian Nation. You are correct that the Spiritual life of the Christian requires fealty to Christ alone. But in the world we affect the world as salt and Nation's must give God the glory.
What is a snow plow parent?
Maybe it's the Canadian equivalent of a helicopter parent.
@@wolfe6220 that would have been my guess, too. Thank you
Similar to a helicopter parent, who wants to clear the way for their child to succeed instead of letting their child succeed on their own skills and merits. Which means when the child is truly on their own, they can't do anything because they're used to their parents doing everything for them.
Snow plow parent clears the way for their child.
Probably worse than a helicopter parent.
@@Struthio_Camelus ah.. That makes sense. Thank you
I recommend that everyone watch "The Handmaid's Tale". Many people claim that the series is anti-Christian, but in actuality, the series mocks the people who use religion to control people ( particularly females ). Even though the people in control in "The Handmaid's Tale" profess to be Christian, they seldom mention Jesus, but over 90% of the time, they espouse the worst parts of the "Old Testament". The series uses verses from the “Old Testament” ( for instance where a wife was barren and she allowed her husband to have sex with the wife's handmaid to produce an offspring for her ) to justify raping a class of women called "Handmaids". Any disobedience can be punished by whipping and if it continues: lynching.
Check out Ukraine a Christian nation held national days of prayer since 2016 except for when the war broke out.
Matt 19:30
"Lie, Cheat, and Steal... In Any and Every Way Possible and at Every Opportunity" ~ Republican Party of God Mission Statement
A nation that actually trusted in a divine being would not need to have the largest military in history.
You'd better add the UK and France to those prayers - also on that tenderhooks of lines between where the side will tip and the crazies are getting votes - and Trump seems to think that he's going to have a great grouping - for the rest of us, living near/in, some of us (normal people) think it would be the triad of evil 😥
We chose instead to be servants of the god of mammon.
Yeah, they don't have that bible, their bible says something entirely different, obviously.
Long standing Christian tradition - pick out texts to suit our particular ideology.
No big deal.
You can choose which church to go to or not as you feel best.
A Christian nation wanting to avoid God's wrath should take Revelation 11:18 seriously.
Islam, by definition, is consecrated to the will of God/Love and given to all, not just Muslims. A world dedicated to love? Imagine.😊
Jesus already set up a Christian Nation... The nation of world-wide Christianity who are called to evangelize by serving and caring while spreading His love and word.
Satan promised a nation to Jesus if He just knelt to him.... Jesus saw through the lie... He already HAD a Kingdom.
Then free gifts to self still need least performance to reseive is still law bulsh_t all it takes one wrong move to play babble playground kids bow to strongest love acting time also just drunk I AM also timelessness stupidities' need death in time tales need sufferings to get saved over insanity superior truth still sand follow winds. First serve those who you despise. You cannot love yourself if you don’t love everyone. Because hating another for being a democrat, gay, different color, and practice another religion is hating yourself. So first serve those who you hate the most first and then continue serving others as you go.
There's never been that kind of Christian nation because this new age Christian message of peace and love has never been main stream and never will be. The forceful conversation of people through torture is the most lasting Christian ideal. Everything else is delusional.
A snowplow parent???
Parents who push every obstacle out of their child's way with little consideration of consequences
@@revedtrevors4961I learned something . Thank you.
@revedtrevors4961
Thank you for your explanation as I haven't lived where snowplows were common place. My husband was a military helicopter pilot, so the saying about being a helicopter parent - constantly hovering over a child - was something I was more familiar with. Most of my life was lived in Florida, California, lower Alabama, Texas, and western Washington with its coastal weather. Seeing any snow in those places was an unexpected surprise.
Thank you again, not only for your explanation of that term but also for your insights that have helped me better the faults that I've realized I had. I'm a nicer person today than I was before finding your videos.
I'm sorry but a truly christian nation would always hate whomever is the other just like the massacre of 1099
seizing political power in the name of God is literally using God's name in vain
Christian means Christ Like. Not applying the teachings of Jesus is not Christ Like, meaning those that don't are NOT Christian. Fakes.
I'm a Pagan, and I understand that. Not a difficult concept at all.
Christian means follower of Christ. A Christian knows they are a sinner and works to improve themself and the way one interacts in the world by following Christ's teaching. It means we believe Christ died for our sins and we all fall short of God's glory.
