  • Ever wanted to hike Southern California's tallest mountain? Join me as I show you how to climb Mount San Gorgonio in the San Bernadino Mountains and National Forest. Starting at Vivian Creek Trailhead it took us 4:20 hr to make it to the peak and summit of San Gorgonio Mountain. The hike is a strenuous 17.5-mile round trip hike with an elevation gain of over 12,000 feet, around 6,000 up and down in one day.
Camping is also an option but would take two days to reach the summit, I recommend you camp at High Creek camp and make the push to the summit the next day. Also please make sure you leave no trace when using this public land. Take all your trash out and pick up any you see laying about.

Summer of 1991 a 12 year old Hispanic child Jared Negrete went missing at this location can't imagine the fear because he went through, and the last haunting image he took before 🙏❤️ there's other justice in this world besides the law your hiking video reminded me of his story

Wow, gorgeous views!! Having been born and raised in LA county I'm sad to say I did not seek out adventures like this. Since moving to the Pacific Northwest 7 years ago my passion for the great outdoors has blossomed! I will absolutely do this climb next chance I get to visit LA. Thank you for the inspiration to enjoy and protect our beautiful outdoor spaces!

It’s ok Kristen, it’s hard to escape LA. The PNW is unrivaled in its natural beauty, I’m glad you get to enjoy it up there. Definitely do this hike when you come back though :)

It is the tallest mountain in England situated in the lake district. Its a good climb. I watched your Lake district tour and thought the wire bridges around the old slate quarry were something else. I visit the Lakes a lot and Northumberland which is as you know really beautiful. England is amazing its just small. You have even visited my home town of Leeds, which i thought was great as we do not get many American Adventurers in our industrious city. I am now a massive fan of your travel videos and also take inspiration from Carrie. keep up the good work.

Aww thank you Harriet! I actually LOVED LEEDS and the Lake District, those two as well as Northumberland were my favorite spots so far in England. Hope to get back one day soon.

Alex: hikes 9 miles uphill in 4 hours
Also Alex: "what a perfect little micro-adventure"
Hahaha what a beast, dude. Your consistent home workouts have paid off. Truly an inspiration. I'm a bit of a hiking junkie myself, but I've never gone even close to 18 miles in a day. I hope to be half as fit as you when I hit my 30s.

Definitely on our list if we ever (hopefully) come back west. We traveled from LA to Joshua Tree and saw Gorgonio and Jacinto from atop Eureka Peak and Keys View. Amazing to see. If you head out east, make sure you climb Katahdin in Maine.

Its funny how everyone was using the term "flatten the curve" during the first few months of the pandemic. Now you never hear that phrase anymore.
