For years I was on my high school reunion committee. One of our fellow classmates took a trip to Costa Rica on a boat that held 99 people. She was very proud of the fact that, although being in her 70s, she still zip lined through the jungle. When I saw zip lining on this video, I thought wow Rosie was very brave.

possums do not process meat/birds and very rarely has there been, other than staged a possum eating eggs. they are,with strict controls, wonderful pets with many kiwi people enjoying their companionship

Bit late to comment seeing this vid is 3 years old. But you are not ON the South Island. If I come to America, I am not ON America, I am IN America. OK so US is a big continent. The South Island of NZ is as big as England. When you visit the UK, are you ON England? No, you are IN it. If you are saying ON because the South Island is an island, Australia is an island too. When you visit Australia, are you ON Australia? Your title should read "how to fish in the South Island" So yes, it does drive us Kiwis nuts when people say they are ON the South Island or the North Island. Thanks

Hola, mi amigo. Mi nombre es William de Nueva York. I am a native English American speaker and who is proficient in Spanish. I am strongly considering the idea of learning Greek since I choose to learn once again Spanish. So, I am going to try and focus on two languages. The only thing is I never once learned a language which requires a completely different writing style. I noticed Greek isn't as widely used as it once was but there are so many things great about learning this language. There is about 30% of the English language which originated from the Greek language and so much more than 30% of the Spanish language which its roots originated which is Greek. Greek is an excellent language to learn due to its diversity in its connection to so many different aspects from medicine, math, philosophy and great literature and lastly Christianity. You should try Greek it sounds so much like Spanish and Greek shares so many similarities with other romance languages.

As a New Zealander who has been up and down the country a few times, I couldn't wait to get to the teaming cities of Asia, where I have stayed.

Sicily is off the toe of the boot. Palermo is the capital and therefore tourists, especially during June, July and August. We were there in May, so not quite as busy or hot as the summer months. My favorite town is Taormina, located about an hour from the airport in Catania.

My granddaughter has dual citizenship in the US and in Denmark where she was born. And she has the dual passports too. So many options with this approach. Congratulations to you all!

As a geologist and going ultralighter, I'm amazed at how much stuff you take on the trail. I leave most space for stones if out for fieldwork tho which will get as heavy as your backpack in the end haha. Great to see what you hike with.

Congratulations and great to give your wee one so many options! She'll be able to live/work in the US, NZ and Australia when she gets older. Also have a think about what she will need to do to pass on US citizenship to her kids - we have a similar situation with our youngest son. To pass on US citizenship to her children, according to current rules, she will have to have spent at least 5 years in the US, and 2 of those year have to be after the age of 14. Our youngest won't have the presence requirement so even though he's a US citizen too, his children won't be able to claim citizenship. Our older kids all meet the presence requirements, so their kids won't have that issue.

Hi Alex, here in Australia many Australians of Italian ancestry don't qualify for Italian citizenship because so many of the Italians who migrated to Australia in the 1950s and 60s were from small villages in southern Italy and became naturalised Australian citizens just a few years after arriving in Australia and renounced their Italian citizenship as Italy did not really provide them with any opportunities so they were happy to leave. So only the children who were born before they renounced their Italian citizenship qualify. Also many of the immigrants' children were not interested in Italian citizenship but their grandchildren were/are for European travel purposes but unfortunately many don't qualify.

Thanks for the video. Interested to know if there are any rules about having to give up one passport at age 18? My sons are dual citizens of Singapore and NZ but must decide which country to give up at 18 so they can only have 1 passport after that. That is after they have done their mandatory 2 years national service in Singapore.

You should consider doing another video all about dual citizenship with New Zealand (e.g., pros and cons, annual fees, taxes, 401(k)/rrsp/pension contributions, etc.). In approximately 2 years my girlfriend and I are intending to relocate to New Zealand from Canada. Although duel citizenship will vary amongst countries with New Zealand, an overview of New Zealand with other expat countries would be very helpful.

As an Aussie I have to reluctantly agree the best meat pie and cheesecake I've ever eaten were in NZ. The best milk and cream goes to Noumea. Our child has dual NZ-US citizenship too! Pro tip: apply for the social security number while you're in the US! I believe that as a New Zealand citizen you can live in Australia too so that opens up another possible country. There are tax implications being a US citizen though.
