"Tabua de Esmeraldas" is, for me, among the iconic Brazilian records. Still on this list, I suggest that you listen to "Clube da Esquina" from the beginning, but if you want to focus on some of the music from this club, listen to "Um Girassol da Cor do Seu Cabelo".
Another suggestion, for those of you who seem to enjoy "samba-rock" is the album "Acabou Chorare" by a band called "Novos baianos".

its so great to hear someone talking about jorge ben. he is such an excellent, soulful, independent musician. kinda reminds me of lauryn hill in the combination of raw talent and meaning that he brings to the music. forca bruta is what i would recommend for further listening

This album is about alchemy and the seven hermetic laws are spread across the tracks. I suggest you also listen to the album "Solta o Pavão", as there are some things related to Nicolas Flamel and other alchemists. Jorge Ben was part of the Ancient and Mystical Rosicrucian Order, and that inspired you to compose these songs.

Damn man! What a great reaction with real emotion, plus great more technical analysis. A pleasure to watch! I believe that Brazilian music has this differential, it's like "the language of emotions", good sambas are like medicine for the soul. If you start researching Jorge Ben's discography, long years of great discoveries will pass. He started in 1963 with an absurdly good album, much better than the Beatles ;-D
I recommend listening to the sequence of albums up to the 90s, if may I.
