I really want Nostra to be sent out to fight Odin, just for the match to begin with Loki revealing to be pretending to be Odin, suspecting Brun knows who the Gods will send out and wanted to mess up her plans to counter them

Excellent!!! That will really show the difference between future telling and a perfect prediction. Nostradamus will have perfect predictions that are always right, however predictions are different from reading the future, so he predicts what he thinks is Odin, but it's actually Loki, his predictions are wrong because he's in a false reality

If Apollo looses this round, the next God will probably be a norse (most likely Loki), and I think that the best match for him would be against Nostradamus.

Imagine Okita fight Anubis, with the idea being he died so young so he never had the chance to live his life and be fairly judged.
Simo vs Anubis, histories greatest sniper who had a heart, he never hated anyone he killed, just did his job, could conflict with Anubis.
Of course Rasputin vs Anubis.
Also if Simo fights Loki, I can only see him winning round 12 or 11 (if Apollo wins)

Okita seems like a fun character. I wanna see him fight and hopefully he’s as sadistic and enthusiastic as he was when we first saw him/ during the Loki and Buddha fountain meet up.
Another potential detail for Simo vs Odin is that Gungnir (Odin's spear) is said in the myth to always hit the target no matter what, which means the two would be known for never missing their targets. They could also both have animal companions, Simo with his dog and Odin with his crows. Simo also became famous due to his feats in the Winter War, and Ragnarök in Norse mythology (where Odin dies) is said to be preluded by three successive winters. Odin's mythological death is also in battle against the the monstrous wolf Fenrir, and Simo has a dog, which is also a canine.
My personal thoughts? Okita vs Loki. Hot take I know, but the two of them already have hatred for each other, and seem kind of similar
For a "Mystery God" fight...
Adamas/Adamantine vs Simo would make for an interesting theme. We're told Adamas is/was the "God of Conquest" and he was ready to start a civil war with the Olympians to take Zeus' throne.
Simo fought the Winter War, where the USSR demanded sizeable chunks of their territory...

I like that characterization for Kintoki and Goll. Honestly thinking about which God Goll can be paired up with for presumably one of the last 2 rounds is almost as interesting as the human vs god picks themselves.
Yeah its kind of a shame in a way we don't meet any of the valkyries until they are fighting since we can't ever predict their partners, Goll and Brundhilde are the only 2 we can do it with,

This is not a bad lineup you have here for matchups of course, I personally think that Rasputin would be a good opponent against Susano because not only would it be a great call back to Hercules VS Jack the ripper with the strongest against the trickiest but I can definitely see Rasputin having a weapon similar to Jack’s but instead of creating weapons out of everything it turns anything he touches or hits is the song kind of poison that’s so powerful not even the gods can handle it and I can see your spirit and just loving. Is it going to struggle trying to kill him going through a thick fog of poison that is only affecting his opponent a powerhouse like Susano would definitely want to try to overcome something like that, to prove that he is strong enough to kill the Unkillable,
And I would say Anubis VS Simo would probably be a good fight, the hound of death VS the White death already has a good ring to it. Plus this is a good chance to have powerful magic go against modern warfare tactics,
Nostradamus VS Odin seems the most likely, but I would like to see Nostradamus take on Loki a battle between two tricksters just sounds entertaining another possibility is Nostradamus goes up against the mystery fighter, who, in my opinion could turns out to be Sun wokong also a trickster god,

I like your line up, but if Brynhildr fights I feel like Siegfried has to be the one with her, and I think despite the parallels, your take of Odin versus Nostradamus is a good fight worth making a less thematic one of Loki versus Okita. It can also be interesting if, say we go with Brynhildr dying in the penultimate fight, it be to Loki - I feel the two have been building up a lot of history and can build up further more, plus if we have Brynhildr + Surprise Siegfried as a team, we can have that happened all the way at the second to last fight where she might show her much more selfish motives, all while Siegfried being a hero of humans even if demigod, convinces her to throw away that selfishness and she follows him, to show their mad love in a way, them being satisfied even if they do perish together.

Criminal vs criminal. One who express a singleminded desire to battle that results in more bad than good. One who played with power and tried to usurp royalty (kinda in a way)

now said spear had many descriptors but one of the most common ones is that the spear will hit the target regardless of any barriers or movements and the spear will not miss at all

I think there will be a draw, possibly kintoki vs susanoo. Since rasputin vs anubis will be about whether rasputin overcomes death aka Anubis or dies. So i think they’ll either fight now or in round 12

Considering my Kintoki vs Susano and Odin vs Okita predictions aged like milk, id say this is a really good matchup, i can also see Kintoki vs Siegfried with Brunhilde fighting Goll as their volunds as quite likely but would prefer Odin vs Kintoki

So after doing a bit more research into Kintoki. I actually have a theory on who the unknown god might be. I think it will actually be either Adamas or a god we have yet to meet. Adamas has already shown to despise humanity, and might just try to destroy humanity even if the gods loose ragnarok (in this case, kintoki would be the sole fighter remaining to fight). The unknown god could actually be almost anyone, but I’m personally betting on a god from mesopotamia mythology, even though they got reps in the Lu Bu spin off. They were named after those gods, so they still exist. And Mesopotamia is our oldest known mythology. So it would make sense for one to fight in ragnarok

I think ragnarok goes for the most unexpected match up, Anubis vs Rasputin is too obvious so i doubt that they're fighting, I love that ragnarok makes the match ups so unexpected aswell.
I really think it will end as a draw... And there will be a decisive final round with Sigfreud vs some god
Honestly something I thought would be neat is whoever fights Anubis is Brunhilde's partner partly due to the Anubis myth of the scales and weighing a person's conscious to go off of her sadness of the heroes dying and sending Jack to slay her brother figure Hercules since we are shown her breaking down in tears from it.
Now that's a really cool idea, it never occurred to me the one Anuubis would be judging would be not the fighter but the valkyrie, really like this idea

Although mythology wise I’d defo agree Odin and Loki are way more of just friends if not brothers their interactions in the manga especially with Loki calling Odin the old man, suggests at least to me Odin is much more of an elder type figure in the Norse pantheon hence could act as a father figure like character in lokis backstory, not saying i necessarily think that’s how it will play out but if he was to fight Okita it’s defo a possibility given how the series really plays loose with actual mythology in order to set up contrasting aspects between two fighters

Its disapppointing that most (almost half) of the combatants japanese. Im pretty sure that the whole of humanity as well as gods arent plucked from Japan. And to have the finale be japan vs japan would be even more disappointing. I get it, its a manga, but wouldnt it be great to learn or use other iconic personalities.

I never once saw/said a woman inferior, but in anime its whatever, but this particular anime wants to add twists and buffs to the iconic *Fighters* and, unfortunately, there weren't too many memorable female fighter(sssss) in history. Can't even say anything too since the Valkiers are even why humans can stand a chance against the gods, but I digress
This is a fighting anime and I love it, gender is irrelevant when it's about fighting (imo) and an anime shouldn't be judged base on that, it should be based on its writing. This anime had me in tears when I saw Jack vs Hercules, had me pumped seeing Shi Qin fight Hades, got me motivates seeing Tesla vs Beelzebub, Leonidas vs Apollo has me mixed but even more motivated and that's what a *Fighting* anime should feel like, actually invested in rooting for a side to win

They compare majority of anime to Fate Grand Order 'oh in fate they give women proper representation' ..... There's Castlevania, love it, Attack on Titan (love Mikasa), Nier Automata (on the watch list), Mortal Kombat (saw the movies never the animated series), Jujitsu Kaisen, Code Geass, One Punch Man, Bleach, Sailor Moon, Hunter x Hunter, Kill la Kill, etc., That have women who are (arguably in some, undeniable in others) leagues above men in overall stats.
If I'm sexist for calling someone (I did say my friends but I'll go with your logic and say people) an idiot for hating something before giving it a chance, because women aren't on par with men in specific content and while it's compared to someone's idea, hated because the other person's content/creation is better, guess I'm just an open minded sexist that things everything deserves an unbiased fair chance and shouldn't be compared to something else but seen as it's own thing
Loved Naruto, the women there didn't provide much, Jujitsu Kaisen is doing a better job with women's character development and staying relatively strong instead of just a sideline support (like Sakura, and better than TenTen, which majority of the fandom says sucks)

odin is the strongest god by far in actuality.
What makes you say that? He’s the chief of the Norse and is portrayed as being very strong but Susano is also portrayed in most media and myths as the strongest Shinto God so until we see him fight it’s impossible to say anything definitive

From what we’ve seen so far Jesus is not a god and just a guy but never say never I guess
the whole “oh so and so was considered against Poseidon!” Does not mean the character was strong. I mean both leo and Qin would get destroyed by Poseidon.
The manga specifically highlights all 3 of them right before Brunhilde says 'Who could possibly face that God, known as the Zeus of the Sea', so its clear that those 3 in particular were being portrayed to be the humans Brunhilde considered strong enough to fight Poseidon, it never implies they'd defo beat Poseidon just that they met the bare minimum in her mind to stand a chance, why would the manga bother to highlight these 3 if it wasn't to emphasis their strength? I mean Posiedan in the next panel is hyped up for his power that is on par with Zeus, so its obviously a statement on their fighting power, this is expanded on later with Nostradamus one of the 3 being called 'really fucking strong' and Qin Shi Huang being the only human to defeat a chief God, (feats aside the narrative and statements from the other gods make it clear Hades is meant to be a top tier) and Leonidas has some insane feats in his own right,
whether feats contradict or not it is just blatantly ignoring the authors intent to say that those panels arent meant to hype up those 3 fighters,
@@SephTheSin Those are all fair points but ultimately, in order to view a character as they were actually presented, rather than what they were intended to be. When the author hyped certain characters up, there comes certain expectations that are placed upon the audience. A narrative can not stand upon statement alone, it needs to be demonstrated to be effective. Take Star Wars for example, Darth Vader was stated and shown to be a big fucking deal. One of the big bands, the evil general. Now if he was taken down by Han Solo or a squad of rebel soldiers, would that have nearly been as effective or make as strong a character? Saying someone is strong or even implying they are is cool, but is only part of the job. You need to show it in order to be convincing. Otherwise, it may just be bad writing (which ROR has been guilty of. Especially as of late)
Now I agree with Qin, as you said Hades “was supposed to” be top tier, despite his less than impressive showing during his actual round. But that’s a trend with a lot of characters isn’t it? The author states that they are “supposed to be strong” but ultimately fall short? Hajun was stated to be this big threat and admittedly gave Buddha a run for his money, but he really wasn’t anything remarkable when viewed in the big picture. Same goes with Hades, and even Leonidas ! Leonidas only managed to damage Apollo much during his round because Apollo nerfed himself essentially by shortening the arena. Otherwise Leo was getting overwhelmed. Does the author really think showing that type of presentation, builds hype for a chapter? Or lives up to the hype of a character?
