വളരെ പൊതുജനങ്ങൾക്ക് ഉപകാരപ്രദമായ video. എന്റെ അനുഭവത്തിൽ ഏറ്റവും ticket എടുക്കാൻ നല്ലത് അറിയുന്ന നമ്മുടെ താമസത്തിന് അടുത്തുള്ള travel agency തന്നെ 500 രൂപ കൂടിയാലും പ്രശ്നമില്ല ടിക്കറ്റ് എടുത്ത് cancel ചെയ്യാനും പണം മടക്കി കിട്ടാനും അത് പോലെ വല്ലതും ആവശ്യമാണെങ്കിൽ ആവശ്യപ്പെടാനും എല്ലാം അവർ ചെയ്തു തരും എനിക്ക് അനുഭവമുണ്ട്

If you plan to book AirAsia tickets to other countries like Malaysia , Singapore , Thailand etc . , better book separately . If you do so , the return ticket will be calculated on the other country’s currency . Which will be much cheaper than what we pay as INR . That’s how I book in AirAsia . May not be the same on others.

Sujithbhai, I agree with most of the concerns you addressed on OTA's. I don't know how it works in India, but I believe there should be certain credit cards which offer automatic travel insurance when you book the tickets using them covering any cancellations, reschedules, baggage loss, etc.. A very useful benefit and usually available with Gold or sometimes Platinum card holders. You have to check if it's available for international travel as well. Another thing which I always do is only use OTA's which have a valid local number where you can speak to the customer service person and they have a registered office. Not many in this category, but there are. And once they have done the booking especially some of the well established ones the booking actually becomes manageable thru the airlines website for seat selection etc. And sometimes there are big travel agents who can price match online quotes, which is perfect.

I completely agreed with your comments on the OTS booking. I can confirm you some alternative options are coming soon with a New way of OTS booking. Hopefully this will launch in next three months with a closure outlook for Customers. Wait for it, this issue was analysed earlier and trust me ... Not just in flight booking but whole travel ecosystem. There are some alternative things gonna launch in India for next generation travel system.

One more tip Sujith - Sectoral rates- For example Chennai-Delhi is cheaper than Bengaluru-Delhi because of lesser demand. The difference is huge during Diwali etc for domestic flights. I am not sure of International ones but I guess same policy applies there as well.

Nicely explained. We indeed had a few bad experience with OTAs especially while the jetairways was going down -- booked via goibibo and yet to get the refund; sad story. I wish if you had mentioned about the importance of travel insurance as well in the video. Also, for the first time travellers, especially parents, opting wheelchair assistance would be a great option to avoid unnecessary confusions while switching terminals. Thanks!

Actually cancellation charges was way more than the ticket charges. Even for date change they wanted me to lay more than the actual ticket cost for tat day. Which means i can as well take a new ticket instead changing dates from the one which i already booked.

Sujith bro last year when i booked flight tickets to Mumbai through MMT I made the mistake of booking at 12 a.m. instead of 12 p.m. But when i called to support they provided tickets in 12 p.m. flight though i had to book again but with same discount and refunded ticket charge of 12 a.m. flight. As you said you'll never again book through OTA'S just shared my experience. That's all.

Refund try ചെയ്തപ്പോൾ cleartrip വിളിച്ചു 2 months കഴിഞ്ഞു ക്യാഷ് കിട്ടി ... 1400saudi riyal കിട്ടേണ്ടടുത്തു കിട്ടിയത് 400 sr ..

You r right Sujith ...I had very bad experience with make my trip after cancellation ... 4 years back ... then onward I check and compare the flights from OTA or skyscanner BUT I will book through airline site ... travel agents usually don’t accept credit cards ..
