  • In Ghana, car companies like Toyota, Hyundai and Mitsubishi could face stiff competition as an local brand joins the market. Kantanka is the country's first and only domestic vehicle manufacturer. But in a market dominated by foreign brands they seem to be making quite an impact. Eunice Agyare-Okyere reports.

      Men have tried.
      For hundreds of years.
And failed at every single attempt to develop countries within Africa.
For some reason they're "asked" to leave, forceably?
One would think that since Africa is the birthplace of all mankind.
The countries that make up the continent would be more advanced and developed?
      WTH happened?

Whether manual or robotic assembly, testing is integral part of manufacturing, every part assembled should immediately be tested for established gold standard precisions (six sigma) and then repeat the test at module level and complete vehicle (system test), not sure if they are doing it but the video doesn't show it

CKD stands for Completely Knocked Down. The term has its origin in the automotive industry and refers to a form of production of vehicles. The car manufacturer exports a not-assembled vehicle in the form of individual parts that is assembled into a finished vehicle in the respective country of import and sold there. Because I am a mammal, I understand the economics of CKD. So I enlightened you. I was not emotional about it like my fellow Africans. Here in South Africa we have been using CKD's for over eighty years. We even export CKD's. Nothing to be ashamed off. Nothing to get aggressive about. Nothing to shout about. The Foday is already a cheap knock off of Mitsubishi vehicles. Or don't you know?

Aviation News and Analysis obviously, because i have seen the double cab model is assembled in indonesia, and probably india, and others then rebadged as local manufacturer, in Indonesia its used as political "weapon" as well

@@emmanuelokine7430 CZcams does not allow links, so just Google “Jalopnik The Living Apostle Who Sold The Media On The Myth Of ‘Ghana’s First Car'”
It’s literally just a container full of pre manufactured parts that this guy bought of Alibaba, and then he only makes some final assembly, slaps on a new badge and then tries to scam people by making it seem as if he produced the car.
Also I’m shocked by your lack of critical thinking. Like where in the video do they show any plastic injection molding machines? Where do they show heavy steel presses needed to form the car parts? Where do they show robots needed to hoist heavy parts into place?
There is literally not a single piece of heavy machinery anywhere in this “factory”. It is literally just a simple frugal assembly plant. So how exactly did you even think in the first place that he was manufacturing anything there, instead of just making the final assembly of pre produced Alibaba cars.
