My brother I am one of your biggest fans I love your videos every time I get home from work I'll watch your videos
No way dude my bro is the biggest fan!
I love that water fountain it looks nice
I still like cruising the mall.
An awesome video, Wallie! 👍👍👍👍 One of my sisters lived in Harrisburg, PA for 15 years. In the very early 1990s I went to Harrisburg to visit with my sister and I went to the Colonial Park Mall while visiting my sister. I really liked the Colonial Park Mall and the mall was really thriving at the time I was visiting my sister. My sister doesn't live in Harrisburg, PA anymore. She resides up in northern Maine.
Thanks for sharing. Looks beautiful inside. So sad so many stores continue to close.
Thanks for posting this! I worked at Boscov's in the late 80s, so many great memories!
My mom used to work Bon Ton! I have so many memories of this mall.
Great Video Wallie lets keep it going
I remember very well going to this mall in the early 1960's as a kid with my parents. I continued to shop there until Sears shut down. Now, there's not much left! SAD!
Wallie when you are able to go to Maryland you should see the 2 story abandoned Walmart in Towson
Awesome Wall
That dirty snow actually looks good now.
Sad to see malls go thanks for sharing this amazing video wallie
I used to shop at this mall when I was a kid with my mom back in the 70s. It wasn't this big back then.
Man i miss the malls. When me and a buddy of mine was in our teens,we used to go to the mall on the weekends just to check out all the pretty girls. It was great! LOL.
I miss cruising the mall and hanging out at the arcade.
Been following you for a long time Wallie and I'll say this, this is getting pretty scary the rate all these malls are closing I fear by 2030 we won't have any malls left to go to and that would be a darn shame.
Auction was pushed back to mid-July
Nice Video 👍
As always great video 👍
Love that fountain!
Boscov's is the best department store ever. They're remodeling the one in Camp Hill, it's busy often. I'm there probably once a month.
I was there when you were filming this. lol.
My local mall, The Rockaway mall has been doing alright. A Dicks sporting goods is coming in the old Lord and taylor.
Great video. I love how this mall looks. Love the fountain!
Ah, one of the near hometown malls. Still remember getting my first ever pack of Pokemon base set cards from this mall inside the Boscovs…
Like this video 👍
Im in central PA and we pretty much only have Logan Valley mall (Altoona) and then there's Nittany Mall (state college) which nittany mall might as well be closed down as it has next to nothing. Sadly we lost Lycoming mall ( muncy) awhile back but had fond memories of it .
Some really good aesthetics! The planters, the pillars, the title, and that fountain!! You can really tell it's a 60s era mall around the back.
Wow got to add a like
Love the video Wallie ! Awesome job, as always !
Saint Pepsi…Vaporwave soundtrack fits the old mall perfectly.
Thank you! I take my time trying to find the right songs for these videos to where I think they are the perfect choices.
It was such a a nice mall. No one shops at them anymore. Park City in Lancaster still has traffic but even it is going to be redeveloped as a mixed use property. Strange to think of a time when there weren't malls. They decimated city centers and now they're all going to die as well.
I was never a big fan of the Colonial Park Mall. I used to frequent the Capital City Mall in Camp Hill. I remember Colonial Park being run down at one point and then they revamped it and it really looked nice. But good looks only get you so far with crappy owners/management.
It was pretty 🌞. I don't know, but I still walk around our mall. We used to have lots of malls and they closed down too.
I use to take my girlfriend here all the time, it was one of the busiest places in the state at one point... I just went there a couple months ago and it made me sad.
And Have A Boscovlicious Day !
My Dad worked at the Boscov's in Reading, PA for a couple of years after retiring from the Air Force in the late 60's / early 70's!
I'm wondering if the same company that owns this mall owned the chapel hill mall in akron ohio too many similar things such as not paying the utilities and letting the properties run to the ground
thanks wallie keep it up!!!
👍
Im going to be very upset if the mystery box store is closed
What’s left there? Wow I remember a lot of storess the whole emo stores what was it called! And to nothing? That’s sad!
It’s a sign of the times ……..
Yep malls never learned how to compete with online stores. That's what happens when you refuse to evolve and adapt. You fade away.
Wally i was one year old in 1960. LOL
I wasn't even born
The only mall left in the Harrisburg area is the Capital City mall. That one is oddly still bustling with a packed parking lot during peak hours. The area as a whole is growing more than almost every other part of the state. It's just malls are a dying breed that can't sustain themselves in the current environment. They never adapted and evolved.
Couldn't have said it better, came here to talk about the Capital City Mall. Place is a madhouse on weekends and around the holidays, it's nice to see.
We don't need multiple gigantic malls anymore but a few smaller ones with good layouts and the right selection of stores and restaurants will continue to do well.
I live pretty close to this mall and it’s dead nothing ever goes on in here I think they need to knock down the mall and put in a walmart cause there is only one in the harrisburg area and its overly crowded
Walmart+Sam's Club would be sweet.
