This week on Let Dirt Fly, Seth throws a CVTech primary clutch, tuned by Peak Boys, on his 2018 Can-Am Outlander 850 XMR! The quad is on a rip through our normal mud pits and then, Seth catches his tire on a ledge in the stream and rolls his quad! Check out the video for more!

And that's when Seth realized it was time to put a riser on the belt box inlet/outlet. Lol. Great video as usual fellas! Keep it up!
Lol. I haven't even thought of it till you said something.
Aztex's and aftermarket clutching...you'll never go back!
It makes a big difference. Going to be putting it to the test next week.
Nice recovery Seth!!! awesome video guys!!! keep it up!! 1 million subscribers in no time!!
Thanks JD. That would be great. Help us out by sharing us with your friends.
Great video guys!
Thanks
You guys have some sweet water runs back there. Nice save on the quad going down Seth!
Thanks Chris. They would be great if they weren't so rocky.
@@sethharman3006 where is the cf moto?
@@thatoneguy2756 it might be coming out to play soon
I have STM primary on my 850xmr and un like you said. Mine is like a rocket on start off and mid range. Like night n day
It is a big difference. The problem is keeping the front end down on dry ground to get a real pull. low is imposable, high is almost as bad.
Great videos I have a red 850 also it’s awesome 😎
I like the video
Video was awesome
Thanks Phillip.
Whats you cam in this video
Clutching does a lot on them can am
Yes it does.
Is Seth’s 850 engine broken in? Mine after 1000 km was doing catwalks effortlessly. Thinking of the clutch kit. As it came with 30” zillas
No the machine will do it no problem. I'm not good at it. Lol
Great vids can’t for the next one 🦾
Have something really cool planned. Should be a little different, but hopefully better.
@@sethharman3006 can’t wait for it. You should do purple spring in your secondary made big difference in power i got the same cvtech primary.
@@Canam10004life thats good to know. does it keep it in the power range better?
@@sethharman3006 it felt like the spring added power she cam up way easier and felt like I had to hold for my life. Well worth it for 35$
@@Canam10004life Who made the spring? Is it an epi, or someone else?
Just started the vid. I hope the wheeler is g2g. Care to share why you chose that primary over others like qsc and stm?
Cvtech is actually the worst out of the three. Not only is it the nosiest, but it don't rip as hard. The QSC is 44mm, STM 45mm, and Cvt 50mm... But better engine breaking with cvt
Not going to lie. Cost was a definite factor. There are definitely better primary's out there.
@@sethharman3006 Im all for value purchases if you get what you pay for. Those other 2 are expensive for sure.
@@legowolf22 It is worth the money. it might not be as good as the more expensive ones but way better than stock. it is also easy to work on.
Seth have you had any problems with your 850 breaking up at low speed. Mine goes to crap riding slow but it straighten out at full throttle.
I did a couple times, but i had crap in the tank. I changed my sock on the fuel pump hope that fixes it.
Did you a big differens in the clutching rpms because mine grab at higher rpm....
It depends on how you have the clutch setup. You can make it grab right off idle by changing the primary spring, but it’ll hurt your mud performance. Higher stall(higher grab rpm) usually means better initial rpm and mid range. A lower stall like your stock setup wont feel as good in the mid range and lower rpms.
How does it effect the top speedm
Honestly i have never hit top speed so i couldn't tell you.
What part of NY are you in?
Dutchess, Orange area
What exhaust?
