    This is my 22 year old daughter's favorite song and she sings every word of it when we're cruising in our 73 Bronco so I know I'm parenting correctly!

    This is such a great performance and probably the best iteration of the band. Also the mix is phenomenal. Duffy is just absolutely shredding, Ian sounds perfect. Drums and bass totally on point. Whew.

    They got much better than in 1985 when they just started to get famous. Seasoned now.

    Billy Duffy and Ian Eastbry are Fantastic. The album Electric is there best by far. Except for
    She's sells Sanctuary. Comments welcome.

      That's a dumb statement.....saw them about two months ago....nothing in their catalog he struggles with. His voice isn't in the vocal range like many of the "helium" singers of that era that are now unable to hit those notes....his voice is fine.....

    1987, Les is there but Kid Chaos is not? Interesting and confusing. You can hear that the rhythm guitar parts are just... missing.

    I loved The Cult until this record came out and they lost me ever since. Didn’t feel genuine. I know many disagree and that’s totally fine. I just didn’t buy the whole denim and leather pose.

    • @bsenka
      @bsenka Před rokem +2

      That's interesting, I always felt that the earlier styles were forced, and they finally found their natural groove with Electric and Sonic Temple. While I was already a huge fan, these are the records that cemented them as my all-time favourites, and made me believe that Billy Duffy is a criminally under-rated rock guitar god.

    • @marcrussell54
      @marcrussell54 Před rokem

      @@bsenka Really? I couldn’t be more opposite. I think it was a stab at success in America, and they pulled it off, which would never have happened with a product that resembled Dreamtime or Love. So I give them credit for that. But for me it was kind of like The Cult ended and became another band. Unfortunately a band I didn’t like.

      @@marcrussell54Ian said they didn't like the post punk moniker but the were moving in the hard rock direction anyway with The Phoenix and Nirvana being the last song they wrote for Love.
