    I tried this dish at a Chinese restaurant once. The flavor was on point, but I was caught unawares by little pieces of bone in the short rib (not the rib itself, for anyone wondering).

      It's similar to a sweet potato, starchy and lightly sweet, but milder. Not sure how to explain further, sorry!

    I can’t imagine them ribs being fully cooked or chewable after steaming for only 20 minutes.

      it is a chopped ribs the ones that are really small chunks. i think i would do 30 minutes to make it a bit fall off the bone kind if i want to make this.
