Bhai kya aap mere ko koi rocket science se related book suggest kariye na please❤🙏
namaste sir mera app sa sawal hai ke hamare desh mein kya koi opticarl computer /computing ka research ho raha hai. Please batia in one video please
Bhai next video , HAL and GE ki jet engine deal pe bnana. Will it be beneficial for india or it will make us totally dependent on US, and giving the dream of Made in India Jet engine. There not much talks in media on this. So, if you could research and make video on it.
Bro can I join you, I am a BSMS student at IISER Pune. Biology background
You are one of the rare Indian Channel on CZcams which are actually focusing on science. In west such channels like Veritesium is common. Thank you for doing this.
Ye i only trust him and science to technology...
also pardon my grammatical mistakes. I typed that hurriedly. before anyone points that out...
@@studytime2570 the role of language is to get the massage across , do not care about the grammar police , they are unemployed people with an anger against everything. Science FTW

I worked on the Cs fountain clock at National Physical Lab, CSIR New Delhi about a decade back. Specifically, I had designed part of the fluorescence detection circuit for the expanding Cs atomic cloud that eventually maps out the beautiful Ramsey fringes. This video and your explanation brought back a lot of memories and joy. Thank you.
damn, thanks a lot, aukad ke bahar ki tareef
Proud of u sir
Pranam
Bro to be honest you are raising the bar for scientific temperament in India. I am sure that may be just 1% watching this video, but surely this video will inspire Indian students to pursue research on these cool topics instead of running behind money and pursuing courses like CSE just for sake of higher packages. I certainly aspire that one day most of modern and futuristic technologies will be home grown in India which Dr. APJ sir dreamt about. And you are playing a vital role in it by bringing out these hidden gems in India. Hats off you GS🙇♂🙇♂
thats a big responsibility and thank you fr your words, i just learn something new and cover it , maybe few get inspired along the way
underrated comment
For that govt also should support research and development if they only don't support how the hell will these take place first govt should develop them then only these can happen
true..

NAVIC navigation satellites ke liye bhi desi atomic clock banega?

You cleared one of my biggest doubt about atomic clocks in a really simple way.😮😮😮
All this time I was thinking it was the vibration of atoms when specific frequency was thrown upon them. Didn't know it was just opposite.
Since school days we were taught like this.
I still don’t understand tbh. Are we measuring oscillation of the light photons because of the atoms?
@@observantmagic4156 we can make a clock using light of particular frequency and wavelength. But how can we practically know what the wavelength of light we are using is? Through calculations we know that strontium will absorb 698nm wavelength light the most. But practically how do we check it? This machine helps us to isolate that particular light of that particular wavelength. We throw laser light of various wavelengths on the strontium atom and the one that is absorbed by strontium atom the most is the 698nm wavelength light. Now this isolated laser is sent to an electronic device that generates clock signals using it.
So basically this video shows how to exactly test the frequency and wavelength of light we are going to use to make an atomic clock.
Ab mai kuch bhi comment karega to heart milega🤣🤣🤣
@@angryhusky2467 That was really good explanation. Thank you
As an alumni from IISER Pune and having worked/interacted with them during undergrads really makes me proud!!
What do you do now
Frequency comb which you mentioned is probably one of the most important component as that is what is used to measure the frequency of the laser. Hope you cover that next time! And good to see Umakant's lab doing so well, his lab has progressed quite well since he first joined IISER Pune! The explanations were really amazing, it is very difficult to actually convey laser cooling to people let alone talk how atomic clocks work. Keep up the good work!
Thank you Dipankar, yes had to tone down the complexity 🖖🏽
Awesome Umakant's lab team. Nostalgic to be proud of a junior who is doing cutting edge fundamental research. Proud of you UDR.
Super cool work and video❤
I think what was missing is the use case, There are many but most importantly its used for GPS.great work by scientists and you👍🏼
this is a ground clock, will be used for national time keeping, if made for that standard
and yes should have gone into it, already overwhelmed
One of the best Indian channels on science. Love your content. While the viewership numbers may not balance out the effort and thought that goes into making a vdo I'm sure you'll grow much larger if you keep this up. Best of luck!
I'm working in this kind of lab in Singapore. Good to see people working about it in India.
Thank you for bringing amazing content and explaining them most simplistically. I recently started following your channel.
Explaining science concepts with graphics lowers the age bar to grasp such concepts and helps increase the scientific temperament of the younger generation. In our days, only sources available were poorly drawn B&W representations and heavy text books written in a language that often needed picking up another! Even understanding a simple orbital structure or energy states of electrons became extremely mundane to a level where the goal ended up being studying it to pass an exam.
Keep up!
yes i remeber buying encyclopedias , only source of info since no internet
It's an amazing video! Please keep making more!
I didn't understand 1 part - how can the transition frequency of Strontium help devise a clock? What periodic oscillations are being monitored to define a second?
Hats off to your commitment to spread knowledge across this nation with language that is easy to digest, I do watch Vigyan Tv India as well and you both have been so so good!
Your parents should be proud of you brother !
Saw this video for the first time . I am excited to how research is happening in india and hats off to the sir and the other people who prepared such an apparatus. Thank you for bringing this to us
Need more Indian CZcams channel like this thankyou sir
Great animation...tough topic! Still wonderful. That is some advanced quantum lab. Hydrogen masers are another set of base apparatus for maintaining clocks.
yea tough for sure, this video likely wont do well, but i enjoyed making ti so much, lot to learrn
You are one of the best YTubers in the country man. Iv been following hour channel for some years. Best of luck to you. You deserve millions of more subscribers
Superb video, Bhai !! You've explained the concept of Atomic Clock like no other.
One of the most informative video. Learnt new things which I never heard of.
i can assure you that I enjoyed it a lot gaining the knowledge about that. Hope to see more such videos
Really insightful video gs, i would love if you cover more such topics related to research among indian academia.
I will try my best
Next level experience, plz continue this type of content. I much lntrested in this. We need this type of content, really amazing ❤❤🤩😍
Great one! Kuddos for the animation part ❤👏
Thank you! 😄

I always wanted to create a science based youtube channel like vertasium, nile red , action lab but due procrastination and overthinking to create good videos. I failed, but seeing you it motivates me to start again. Hopefully, somewhere in the future, i will be making videos with you.😁
Wow! What a channel.. Very few channels of India exploring science.. Keep up good work
Nice brother thank you for doing this... i always watch your videos... and you are the only source that i get information about science...😊🙏

While loading atoms from oven to main MOT, they are using a 2D MOT along with a zeeman slower, really really doing precise stuff. I’m really impressed. Very less people load atoms with a 2d MOT, and with a ZSlower it’s really rare. Proud. Great job. Keep it up..!!

Hi. Good job on making this video!
I had a question, if frequency of the lasers is so important here why is it set on trial and error method only, like how do they know if the atoms are in right temperature? Shouldn't the absorption spectra change if the temperature is not right?
thank you
When I see these labs and their animations I can't help but feel like this is like real world Minecraft where you built new automated/manual devices for different purposes...
