- While it only takes 10 minutes of actual time to change the oil in this scoot, join us for some deep conversation on oil, performance and how the stuff works in your bike. Thank you Chuck for taking time to make this video with me and stay tuned for more good stuff to come on Yogi's Cycle Service!! We appreciate your support!!
Great video. I changed the oil on my Vrod a few weeks ago. It reminded me to recheck the radiator bracelet. Thanks.
Thank you for explaining the proper way on putting on an oil filter. I won't let anyone change my oil when I used to they all screwed them on super tight. Like you said doesn't need much to cinch it up. Another awesome video!
Thank you
Hey!..thanx guys!...really discovered some “trick” tips from this!

Great video...I just picked up a 2006 V-rod. Fun bike. Thanks! 👍👍
Thank you!!

Fellow V-Rodders: I noticed a big difference in clutch feel after going from Mobil 1 (non-JASO std) to Castrol (JASO2 std); both synthetic 20-50 oils. My understanding is JASO is designed for a wet clutch like that in a V-Rod. The Mobil 1 made the clutch jumpy/unpredictable and late to engage. The Castrol JASO oil made it much easier to feather the clutch in for smoother take offs and low speed handling.
GREAT VIDEO! THX GUYS! I REALLY LIKED IT!
Sebastian Kulesza Thank you for watching!
Not sure who was with you but I wouldn't let him in my garage. I will say I enjoyed the time and it was quite fun. Yea that is about a 10 minute deal but we covered a bunch of different things. After watching I think we did OK. Do want to add that I said don't use automotive oil in yoru bike. I wanted to add that a few years ago the EPA had the oil companies take out most of the zinc. In modern engines it is not as needed. Without getting all techy the older Pre 2010 or so give or take need that zinc. It helps with the HD designs and older metric bikes too. There are oils that have more zinc for those that need it. Things like Dexos does not have the extra zinc. It would be mostly racing oils like Royal Purple or Amsoil. The big thing is like said use oils made for your application. Not all oils or motors are the same.
Thanks for the informative video.
Steve Proudfoot thank you for watching!!

Thread sealer on the drain plug is not used. The service manual does not mention it.
Thommy Kent no it doesn’t it’s just something I have done for a long time on my personal vehicles and I carried over the the motorcycle world. Just a precaution in addition to a new “o” ring
Start with year of your model for more info.

La motocicleta debe estar inclinada sobre la muleta asi escurre bien el aceite. Si lo haces con la motocicleta derecha queda aceite viejo en el carter del motor. Mal hecho el cambio de aceite.
20 50 ????? 10 40!
