  • How Do You Know If It's Too Hot To Walk Your Dog? What Temperature Is Safe For Dogs To Be Outside? What Temperature Is Too Low For A Dog?
In this video I talk about how weather can be dangerous to dogs and how even on a day that is nice for humans it could be very dangerous for dogs.
Hot weather and cold weather both can pose a threat to our dogs and if you don't know the limit of what dogs can tolerate then you may be putting your dog in danger by taking him out on a day that is too hot or too cold.
In this video I'll answer questions such as:
How do you know if it's too hot to walk your dog?
What temperature is it safe to leave a dog in the car?
What temp is safe for dogs to be outside?
What temperature is too low for a dog to be outside?
Do dogs get cold at night in the house?
How do you know if your dog is too cold?
Can a dog stay outside in cold weather?
Watch this dog training video to learn how to keep your dog safe according to the weather and temperature.

Love ur video man, but 40 degree is not too cold, i live in quebec (canada) and we have some -30 celsius often. Our golden just love, but love to go out in the snow.

Good point, I should have clarified. Short term it's ok to take them out in cold weather, I meant to say that dogs should not be left out in that type of weather for long periods of time or to sleep overnight.

true man, going out is ok but when we pass the 1 hour or even 45 min we have to be sure that his paws are ok

Great video, you always offer good info!
Question: what is a good way to inhibit dog barking at windows or doors at people walking etc? Ellie is not a "guard dog" in any means lol, she's a lovely sweet standard poodle who would most likely play with burglars if they entered the house. She is just so loud barking constantly. It's more than a normal amount of barking and distracting or removing her from the stimulus has not improved the behaviour at all. Please help!!

Hey, I've been watching your videos for a while. There are things I agree with and disagree with in your videos. And regarding this video, I like the info you are giving about the heat. I see a lot of people here in AB that walk their huskies at 20-30 degrees C.
However I disagree with the cold statement. My dogs have always thrived in the bitter cold, minus 20-40 C, Labs and huskies, just for breed reference.
All I'm saying is that I think dogs being comfortable also depends on breed and where the dog was raised.

How to tell if it's too hot to walk your dog outside. Take your bear wrist and push it to the Blacktop if it burns you what do you think it's doing to your dog? Roll up your windows and set there for 10 maybe 15 minutes see what that does to you? Now try going without any water, and your oxygen has been depleted this is a recipe for disaster for any biological faction. As for just learning now in 2020 of the officers wife that was trapped in his vehicle and died from heat exposure this is absolutely one of the most compelling strange cases of accidental death tantamount to the man that water'd birds in a pie pan in his window seal the window suddenly went down on his neck and he drowned in 2 inches of water

I'm scared, tomorrow at 9am I have to take my dogs to take a vaccine and I don't have a vehicle to take them, I have to walk them 1.3Km (they don't walk outside / in the street that much everyday) and it's in a tropical hot weather :c
I'm preparing a big bottle of cold water and a backpack to put one of my dogs in case the floor gets to hot and I have to carry them
