    DX wraith is definitely more understable from the other plastics. Especially right after a tree hit. Slower arm speeds can benefit from throwing a DX Wraith and feel like they are not a wimp with that 11 rating. Defintely don't confuse a DX Wraith with other plastics as it is a different beast altogether.

    See I was gonna come here and say KC Pro Roc. Just a step above the DX. Dx Rocs are great too. KC Pro F2 runs around $10. I think the slower speed and rim shape make the plastic more durable. Shape it well and it glides nice. Any driver in DX gets major gouges as soon as you hit something fast. That being said, DX Wraith was one of my first distance drivers and it put up with a lot!

    I don't understand the love for Wraiths, or just for Overstable discs in general. For me that high Fade results in like 20+ ft less distance than I get out of a Stable or Understable disc. For certain shots obviously it's great to have that much Fade but if I have a wide open shot I'm never grabbing an Overstable disc. I may like a beat in Wraith but I don't throw it enough to get it beat in.

    • @TheScottishKayaker
      @TheScottishKayaker Před 2 lety

      As far as distance drivers go the wraith is fairly middle road for stability. What is your normal distance? If your arm speed is lower it will make drivers appear to be much more stable than the numbers would imply.

    • @Motorboatasaurus
      @Motorboatasaurus Před 2 lety

      @@TheScottishKayaker I throw 270 on average but occasionally can hit 300 but that's only with discs that are 1 or 2 fade. I throw overstable discs like 250 tops

    • @BradyR95
      @BradyR95 Před 2 lety

      It's definitely an arm speed thing. If you have a slower arm speed it makes perfect sense why you would like understable disc. Nothing wrong with that, but that is your answer. I throw a lot of understable disc for shot shaping in the woods, but for distance, over stable is the way to go because it can handle more torque without flipping over.
