Have you ever tried any of your canaries on dry egg food? Its not ideal but some seem to like it and its better than going off when its hot.

Great video. I am going to get a 'pet' bird for it's song and need a bit of advice. I kept many kinds of tropical song birds before, as well as finches and parakeets, but not British finches or Canary.
I can't choose between a canary or goldfinch. I can't find much information about keeping goldfinches as pets! I see info about breeding and showing them only.
Will a male goldfinch be happy kept alone like a canary?
If I keep a pair of goldfinches will the male still sing? Also will a pair fight?
Finally, is it actually true the canary prefer to be alone, and if I get 2 they will not sing?

Hello mate if I had only british birds I wouldn’t be bothering too much until the chicks are 5 days old as the parent yes don’t seem to bother with eggfood as much of ever
