Awesome, glad to hear!
How often do u C-bet? Some ppl say it's Best to C-bet everytime.. some say otherwise. Whats ur opinion on that?
Recognize the signs of tilt in yourself, and stop playing. Recognize the signs of tilt in others, and keep playing.
Best advice right here.
Tilting is never an option, because it's always the incorrect option. You will take beats playing this game, it's part of the game.
“Needed to see it” is the most hilarious statement after a terrible call. As if it makes the call any better.
I agree with all except #4. In my opinion it's good to limp sometimes, it'll set you up to bluff on a bad board or even catch a good hand for cheap
I limp occasionally with intent to re-raise if I know I have aggro players behind me, after developing a rock image.. After a while, they fear my limp. FREE cards!
@@UncleHemi yep that's a good strategy
It depends on the structure. If you can buy in for 100BB or more, I open up my limping range in early and middle position and raise in late position more.
Black rain this is my favorite video yet from you thanks
Thanks glad this one helped!
Great stuff Nathan!!! Tyvm… How does one go about getting info on your private coaching sessions. Thanks in advance.
I've sometimes found that limping with a baby pocket pair (2-6) lets me see cheaper flops and fold when I don't hit my three of a kind.
I usually raise two BB's. Not enough to knock people out, but just to build the pot, in case my set-mining pays off. And it's not like I'm pot committed if I miss the Flop. Also, if there's a substantial three-bet at least you narrow their range. And depending on the player, and his stack size, decide whether you want to call or let it go. Just my two cents. What do y'all think?
Loved this one. It's like you have been watching me and the guys I play online with. Thanks
Haha, glad this one helped!
I’m just learning how to play the game and tonight I’m hittin up my neighborhood bar for poker night!
Excited to get better and some of your tips will come in handy for sure! I’ll be trying to spot the 🐟 and just hoping I’m not a 🐠 tonight
that was the best video. I’ve seen in a long time. Thank you for making it. That was just amazing.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Good video ! I had to watch it at 0.75x speed but still good ! 😂
I'm the crazy fish! Haha! i've just started playing, this one video has educated me a LOT lol! thank you!
No prob glad this one helped you!
Do you have any videos about when to Bluff? Is there any advantage as to when to Bluff like seat position?
Nothing will get me to subscribe faster than a succinct into. Even if it's too a channel about a hobby I barely think about.
Are there any reputable online poker sites that you would recommend?
Thank you!
You're welcome!
It’s funny that you said it towards the end of this video. The best way to make money in small stakes games is to simply fold more. Quit convincing yourself of the five most expensive words in all of poker. I’ve got to see it. Thanks as always for the content Nathan.
Exactly! Glad this one helped.
am in Africa Tanzania am interested to play poker online which site is the best for small capital and permitted in our country
I play micro stakes, I like to mix in the odd limp just to keep the table guessing about me. Is this a mistake?
I think this is fine, i do it also but rarely
The title of this is misleading. I says it’s “Tips for Beginners (just do this)” Then it’s a list of things not to do.
I didn't stop playing - I tried to correct it and do a reset at the table... its good trick to try do it of you know how.... some psychological methods could be learnt off the table then implemented... for someone who knows how of course ... but it gives a lot of powers.... comparing to other who are on tilt and do not know what to do with that
I signed up and subscribed on the website hoping to receive the poker cheat sheet but I haven't received anything in my email.
hallo, gibts es deinen kanal oder deine videos auch auf deutsch ?
Hi nathan I m from India I m playing poker since 3,4 years after following ur advise I make some wonderful winning but. Please tell me about a player 80/25/59 they always make me trouble please tell me how to deel with the ❤❤
Sure 80/25/59 is a bot named pajeet. He dosnt like other Pajeets so it will be really hard for you to beat him “Nathan”
Too beat him I will need to know your real name because nobody from India is named Nathan. The key to 80/25/59 is not using a fake name pajeet ! Good luck
Gawd dang! Learning how much I suck
Limping than re-raising preflop I think it's one of the most strenghtfull play
Are you able to tell me why limping is better?
@@BIGXOUNCE looks your hand is weak then reraising looks like a bluf. When I have a very strong hand I want the other players thinking I m blufing.
@@BIGXOUNCEIt's not always better, but it can make you look less sure of your hand and/or make it seem like you're bluffing. The less other players think you have in your hand the more they're willing to bet against it, and the more you can win assuming it's good.
It's not always a good strategy but it does work.
Word life... Buying the program. Thanks for sharing the science.
Any time!
This entire video went over my head lol
I’m new to GG poker online . I’ve never seen so many flushes n my life . If I see 2 of same suite Im re raising and making them pay to catch the flush .
If you’re big blind and don’t want to play your cards do you check, raise, or fold?
stay cool when fish give you bad beats!
actually, be glad they do, so you know your in good games!
I want to add one you should know when to fold
At risk of sounding a lil fishy.... How well does the wsop app translate to say micros online? I turned 300k into 250 million in 3 days on the app. I want to play for real but I'm still appreciative. I don't like to lose real money (I really don't have the affordability to play more than micros)
I have been playing at my family poker night for years every Friday at my grandma's. We play friendly tho. Not much raising. Quarter ante, Quarter bets. No blinds. Kinda turned me into a see it player. And I been smoked by the tags a few times. But I feel like I'm doing something right haha. Love your content
Honestly if you have basic strategy down, you'll probably do alright. The thing with online that I've noticed is tables are often a mixed bag. People play crazy online, so it helps to be a bit more conservative, especially if you're in a situation where you can't afford to lose much.
That being said, poker is gambling, and if you can't afford to lose, you can't afford to win. Only play with money you'd be 100% okay with saying goodbye to. And at least for me, nerves throw me off, so if you're already worried about winning, you don't want to have to worry about losing on top of that.
I love how 96% of all your video thumbnails are just you face palming.
I am trying to mix it up. So I will be retiring the facepalm (for awhile)
Question. Please tell me why it's bad to limp with a really good hand???
He literally answered in the video
What if I want to disguise a good hand...???
@@minderpal2023 at small stakes, youll lose more than youll win by trying to be tricky. do your thing tho
I think that’s valid to do in certain situations but for a beginner video it’s easier to just say don’t do it. When to limp is too nuanced for the scope of this video
Disguising could work in your favor, but it’s not the best strategy. You want to bet to make the smaller cards, or pretty much weaker hands fold. Sometimes those weak hands can flop something good to end up beating you. Also when you bet you can also get a better read on the players, but at this point you should know what type of player you’re up agains.
On your first example, if you don't raise, how do you know where are you standing on the hand? You get no extra information and don't have a clue what you are against if you just flat call.
2:25 doesn’t a KK beat a QQ? How does QQ crush you? I’m confused.
pair K loses to 3 Queens
In this hypothetical you’d have AK, which loses to trips
Oh shit number 1 is how I lost all my money except flop came out A 8 j and the other guy was holding A8 😢😢😢
Its called POker for a reason!
If you make multiple crying calls on a live stream, you have a tilt issue.
If u raise preflop in online micro stakes like .1/.2, u will literally almost never play poker lmao. They fold too often.
These tips and tactics are just pure fiction, with no actual hardline proofs too back it all up.
Here's my 100% factual proof tips to all beginner texas poker's out there.
*'DO NOT'* Just blindly trust a "random smuck" that says He/She is an experienced / pro on any computer screen's.
Spewing out these "Tips" On how you should play a poker game.
Instead!
*'FIND SOMEONE'* That 100% In Fact "IS" an experienced / pro player in the real life and kindly ask them to guide you or help you in improving.
THAT is the winning tip.
This video could be called “the 37th beginner friendly video I’ve made”. Give us something more advanced. Just make a playlist for beginners. Your content is becoming less valuable for decent players. We want something for non beginner players. You’re content is good, don’t get me wrong. But it’s very elementary.
Thanks for the feedback. The problem is that if I make more advanced videos like you suggest, then I will get complaints from the beginners who make up the majority of my audience. Can't please everyone all the time :) I appreciate your support of my videos though.
Damn I guess I really suck
It's hard to see how any of this matters on-line. The odds are so irrelevant. Bad plays seem to have an edge.
Not 10 minutes ago I was playing on wsop mi. I was over 90% on the flop with AK over K7 off. K on the flop Out of position I check, he bets I raise ,he pushes I call 7 on the river. 3 hands before that. pocket Q's . I raise get called by J9 off Flop Q 10 4. Because I know the straight will come I push. He calls hits a K on the river. ODDS DON"T MEAN A DAME THING. ONLY RAKE.
Bad players don’t have an edge. You’re literally just experiencing negative variance, get used to it
You are the fish if you cant handle bad beats
@@starun6952 I can take an occasional bad beat. But when you get AA raise Q 10 calls flop comes 7 1010 . I knew I was beat so I checked , after his check. 8 on the turn check check. 10 on the river.Well now I have the nuts sans a 10. He pushes I call. IT'S ABOUT THE RAKE. This is all within hours. When bad beats aren't REAL. There is no doubt in my mind that the cards played directly impact the board. No doubt.
@@adambrand2793 I've been playing on line for years. Infact Obama still owes me money for shutting down full tilt.
Stil pisses me off that more times than not it's bingo, not poker. BTW, I'm a winning player by thousands.
I used to play 1/2 at Niagara Casino before I got married . I went online for first time and trying / learning to play these $50 + tournaments. Doesn’t make sense how many times this month a flush catches or 4 of same suite come up .
🤣🤣🤣🤣 when people like you read people the way you all think you do a beginner will take all your $ fast
Worst advices ever
