      I like the small stakes. But I wonder would you play any different if you didn't have the option of topping up? If you were gonna be done as soon as you ran out would you play tighter or the same

    I love these videos too, feels so relatable and it’s a much easier way for me to get into a poker room soon. I’ve been watching a lot of poker blogs, yourself, brad, Andrew, Mariano, rampage, etc but I’ve always been intimidated by the amounts being played but smaller stakes makes this opportunity much more plausible. I really appreciated the tips as well, it really felt like I learned a LOT in todays video. I know sometimes these tips can apply to bigger stakes but this is a great way to make that first step

    You give off the vibe that you're a pro poker player when playing the lower stakes.. I can feel and sense the wisdom, experience and confidence in your communication at these lower stakes.. Like you've mastered this level and this gives me assurance again in my playing and your teachings..
    I know you will soon be the same way at the high stakes .. but it's been a real journey... Thanks for allowing me to go with you on it... And helping me

    Been watching your vlog since the beginning and what got me into was the fact that you played low stakes similar to me. Whilst I enjoy seeing the larger stakes I hope you do not go the same way as many other vloggers and start to just play higher and higher stakes.
    The reason I like the low stakes is that is the stakes I play and so I can learn from them. I cannot learn as much from the higher stakes

      in low stakes, you can raise mostly when you have good made hands. try not to get too fancy but if you want to incorporate some semi-bluffs i’d recommend high equity ones with like a straight + pair draw, nut flush draws, etc.

      Buy in is usually 100 or 200BB.
      You want to be as deep as possible when playing.
      If you want to beat low stakes live, play 5 or 10NL online.
      I personally play online to " train ".
      Online you get to see 2 to 3 times the amount of hands per hour than you would live, so you have much more data to help find your leaks.
      As well as the online pool is pretty brutal TBH.
      Even the super low stakes regs are pretty decent.

    Just noticed that little thing that happened at 5:20 and because I'm interested in everything related to table etiquette: if someone throws chips in like that and they roll into someone else, is that considered some type of a friendly "donation" or something, even if by accident? I'm wondering because you first picked them up into your stack but later returned them to the table for the opponent, so I was wondering whether it was some type of slight dominance move or just a random slip-up of sorts.

    I live in Texas but have yet to play live at any of the card rooms. Been playing for ages, either online or when I go to Vegas. Used to primarily play 4/8 limit. These 1/2 games in Texas rooms seem to play so big, is that normal? You're not the only vlog I see with 7 or 10 x raises preflop, half stack bets post flop...seems wild to me. 7x preflop raises and still get calls from K2? I feel like I need to go play live now. I'd imagine the variance can be equally huge though if you're not hitting those flops and people call down w anything.

    We had a misdeal on a fame I played a couple weeks ago. I had pocket Jack's. Turned 1 card on the flop before the misdeal was called, just so happened to also be a Jack. I was livid having to muck. Well, next hand I got Jack King suited. Flop comes and we hit trip Jack's. I'm all in the the guy on my right. Sure as shit, he had jack with a 3 kicker. I took the pot and we were all left speechless. The great thing is I kept going on about how pissed I was about the misdeal the entire time I had trip Jack's just to throw everyone off. Think I trippled my stack on that hand. Couldn't make that shit up if I tried. Dealer washed the deck after that hand lol.

    A good video. My thoughts are that your session went well and you got a bit lucky, but it showed too how sometimes players will make moves with weak hands. The real challenge of poker is dealing with sessions where every premium hand you receive faces an opponent with a higher pair and every good flop you get is beaten. These bad sessions are why people quit. Everyone preaches aggression agression, 3-bet with a weak hand to get action, but I offer that a real skill is keeping your stack when up against a cooler. If you can figure when you're beat, that is a skill.

    • @j-dtheblackfarmer8659
      @j-dtheblackfarmer8659 Před 5 měsíci

      They are suppose to quit. This game isn’t for the weak. There’s no weak hands. Only weak players. And players who think the best hand is suppose to win every hand.
      You are sitting down at a table amongst gamblers, hustlers, novices, or “professionals” thinking there is going to be some sort of fairness. 😂

    • @BenDover-je6uw
      @BenDover-je6uw Před 4 měsíci

      You don't 3 bet light to "get action", you 3 bet light as a bluff to fold out weak holdings that can't call a 3 bet or to steal the blinds.
      Mostly you would 3 bet light if the BTN or CO open raises and you are in the blinds.
      BTN and CO will mostly open raise light to steal the blinds, which can be a good way to chip up, especially at a less aggressive or more tight table.

    • @BenDover-je6uw
      @BenDover-je6uw Před 4 měsíci

      I apologize my above comment came across as dickish.
      And
      You don't only 3 bet light to induce action, though sometimes I do, especially at home games after I have made what I want to make at the game ( obviously luck dependent).

    6:14 Minute Mark. What happened here? Why do I see 3 cards: K or clubs, 3 of diamonds and Ace of diamonds? Was one of these cards supposed to be the river card??

    I used to get upset about misdeals but then I realized that those aces were not really mine if it was a misdeal, one of the aces was my table mates.

    Sit down, first hand TT hit middle set. Then get AQ hand 2. I'm thinking that's going to be a good session
