I have a '99 Infiniti i30 that I do not know what is supposed to light up in the top center? Is that for the transmission? If so, mine does not work, what could be wrong?

Hi, I replaced my speedometer cluster with another used one. The new cluster lights turned on and all the meters worked fine except the speed meter. Is it necessary to do reprogramming after installation for the speed meter to work? or once installed it should work? I believe the speed meter might be bad but I want to confirm if programming by a dealer is needed or not. The car is 2004 Infiniti I35. Thank you!
