I got myself one, and you know what? I fell in love with it’s cuteness ☺️
finally, an american guy who knows bushcraft essentails :)
Greetings from germany !
Perfect for light weight cycle touring and having a coffee/oatmeal in a mug in the morning. Excited to try it. Thanks.
"just because it's cool IS a legitimate reason to buy something" LOL. Totally agree!
finally, an american guy who knows bushcraft essentials :-) Greetings from Switzerland !
Very nice little stove. I had to order one to feed my stove addiction,,,,,,Take care, Bluefin.
Cute stove.
They seem like pretty cool little stoves for sure.
Thanks for the video
PREPAREDMIND101 Just take a carabiner in your left hand and the single parts of the EDC Box in your right hand... Then take a look at the hole drilled into each section! ;-)
Neat little feature I'd say!
The EDC Box also makes a perfect desk item in combination with a tea candle and a (stainless) sup of coffee. Just saying...
Greetings,
Andi
"Let that thang start git burnin!" LMAO.....awesome video as always. That mini stove ROCKS!!
Thanks for the great video, Chris!
Tea!!! A man after my own heart!
That thing is awesome!
Cool vid man, keep it up.
Love it..cool factor buy coming..liking the new intro...thanks
Dude.. Thats awesome. I ordered it right away!
Thanks for the review. I have this little stove in my EDC emergency survival pack. I also agree it's too small to be a long term survival item. I tried using a little tea candle to see if it would be able to bring a cup of water to a boil but it only got warm. It will be great to keep a large metal cup of tea/coffee warm in your office/home. Not only will it look cool but it will also keep you connected your preparedness.
Awesome stove, great review.
It Does Work !!!. Great video
Even if the company isn't British, this is a must-EDC for any mate at the isles. Can't miss tea time, now can we?
I need one of these. And hell, once I have one I could even use it as a template to make more of them!
cool stove ! great vid thx man!
neat stove , love the large one.
I forgot what I've been missing. Thank for a FUN review.. bubba
Chris this freaking this is great! Thanks, first thing I thought was I want one! Only thing I would want is maybe a platform for the bottom.
great vid, thanks!
short question; coudl you pls. recommend me a good outdoor/EDC shop in New York city?
Wow...so cool.
pretty cool little wallet stove..lol I like the bigger one you showed though it is a little more practical. I am looking forward to your review on the larger one! :)
Bushcraft Essentials is a great company!
Waiting for mine!
I have a micro stove. I store it inside my Esbit stove making a pocket 2 burner setup. Not my primary but handy to cook up side dishes or a beverage. I wonder how the micro would work with a single charcoal brickette?
Nice you probably read my comment on the emberlit stove video where i gave you the link to bushcraft-essentials and told you they got folding out stoves. Nice to see this in a video.
Got the normal Bushbox in spring this year, it totally replaced my gas cooker. great product ! I usually use it with wood, so i wont have any fuel issues anymore i guess :-) Greetings from Germany !
I'm loving that large one. I'm just concerned about long term durability of those hinges and metal fatigue from regular use.
I'm looking for a multi fuel stove for my inch bag, any recommendations? I wanna keep it under $40 and capable of using wood, esbit/homemade tabs, and has to be durable.
That is freakin awesome Chris, love the little one :D Going to get one of those. Oh and hope that was Tetley tea there hehe
Great video, buddy thanks :D
Like it! Great vid...thanks for the info. Now I have to check them out.
The water would've heated up significantly faster I suspect if you'd removed the cross-piece pot supports. They were not needed to support this pot, and they raised the pot significantly above the burning Esbit tab. Also, I would recommend always covering a pot that is being heated over an Esbit tab. The fumes are bad and will taint whatever is in an uncovered pot, in my experience.
Cool little item! I have the smallest Esbit stove they make, and I'll use one Esbit tab to get it going, and then feed it little sticks. This will get my water or canned food to a boil. This also saves my fuel tabs.
that would be a nice stove to have as a backup
Hello, where can I buy the lid for the cup?
I've been having a hell of a time putting medium sized one back together after use I can't imagine how hard this one is.
Cool is enough for me as well!!
I didn't realize how small that stove was untill you put the esbit tablet in it. LMAO it is cool.
I'm just wondering what difficulties you had putting it together . Would someone's cold numb hands be able to put it together?
I got myself this little beauty and tried something out to make the tea kit even smaller. I heated water in a stainless steel foldable cup, in the stove with a tealight as fuel. It isnt boiling but it comes close. And the cup holds. A fueltablet might even work better but I havent tried that yet. greetings from The Netherlands 🙃
I like the lesser serious tone. More fun.
Wonder how 1 esbit tab and 1 charcoal briquet would work?
can ou review a EIGER brand in my country it was one of the cheap but good quality because when ever i search for the knife youtube there is no review for it,i dont know maybe it was not exporting the knife to many i country and if you cant find its ok
Uh oh. Go to get me one of these!
I'll add this to my bug out bag
How much does the biggest one cost
Out here in the middle of nowhere on my deck
If you use a tea lite tin coil some cardboard in the tin and wax it you have a tiny campfire/fire starter that lasts longer than an esbit tab and if your lucky you can find a pill bottle that will hold 4 or 5 maybe more give it a try id like to see how it works
Shawn
That Micro EDC box stove I bet would work with a smokeeater 908 mini-heat alcohol stove. with very few modifications to the box stove itself.
i'm not sure the mini heat would fit... it's pretty small inside. I took the bottom off the smallest Barbasol can I could find at the dollar store then lined it with carbon felt ,,, works very well in the edc stove.
Checked out Bushcraft essentials site. Nice products, but a tad pricey.
Pure alchemy I tell ya. Either that or you stole it out of the batmobile.
Have you ever seen an ember lot stove
'Thats plenty hot for tea.' No! Take it from a 55 year old Brit - water for tea has to be boiling and then you need to steep (we say brew) your tea for 5 minutes. Trust me you will notice a difference in flavour. Great little stove by the way. Tempted but I already have so many.
Old bean can + leatherman = instant stove :)
Where's my fucking tea! LOL!
Great opening rant.. LMAO
Surprised your table didn't shatter from the heat
How about checking out the American made "Firebox" stoves? They come in various sizes as well.
OZ Iosbaker If they want to send me some I will. I'm not going to go out and but one when I have all these PLUS an Emberlit.
I bet that stove would really
heat up a can of soup easy
( probably with a tea light even )
Any advantage over this when I'm already carrying the Pathfinder School's stove that wraps around their water bottle? Why choose one over the other?
I was watching to see if it was going to destroy his table top. Would this work if you didn't have an absolutely flat surface to sit on?
This one is a bit small. Are you taking about the steel mesh one or the canteen shop one?
The one I have came with the whole PFS bottle kit -- it's the bottle stove. I'm guessing they will both do a good job, but the fold-up stoves provide a lifted surface to burn on, where the bottle stove burns right on the ground.
Good time to say -- thanks for the entertaining, informative videos.
www.selfrelianceoutfitters.com/stainless-steel-bottle-stove/
Well the Pathfinder Canteen Stoves are more to have something to stand the cup on though you still have a generic open fire underneath. These stoves are build to contain the fire and to allow air to flow in from underneath. So they are safer and more efficent then an open fire while the Pathfinder ones aren't. Not saying ones better, they just are completly different so in my book there is a reason to get one of these (I'd recomend a bigger one than in the video lol)
I have the folding Firebox, Emberlit, Honeystove, the large one looks like a copycat of the folding firebox, but more pricey.
I carry one of them in my fire kit, truck glove box...
Are these not identical to the FireBox stove you have in the US ?
Haven't looked at those yet.
No, definitely not. They don't make a stove so small and our Bushbox XL shown at the end of the video is very different to the product you mentioned.
maybe a broken up match light bricket
Just bought one myself doubt it would really get use. But how the hell could any stove person not want this on a shelf to be in the mix of the others
Make your own fuel tabs from sawdust and wax or dryer lint and wax. They burn longer and hotter than debit tabs.
a tea light candle tin might even turn it into a small alcohol stove.
i was literally thinking that the moment he said it at 1:38
Try the Swiss volcano stove and thermos using alcohol. Its Quick!
River water weight loss lol I've been there to lol
You could leave one of the micros in your car for emergencies with a few tea lights and fuel tabs....
will it fit in a altoids tin?
cool thanks
It'll probably fit in a Tictac box. A small one...
Mine sits on top of 6 Coughlan fuel tabs in an Altoids tin with room to spare.
will a trangia fit inside?
***** I have an old stainless steel mess kit, I want one of those stoves for in it, I use it partly as a fire kit and to eat too. What one in your opinion would fit in the mess kit? I would want one a bit larger than the one shown in this video. And hot damn! What a great backup stove to carry. Keep these vids rolling!
I just watched that vid and entered the contest. The stove looks like the real deal. Good job on the vid, keep them rolling!
"Elvish Magic" lol. funny
fire and skin do not mix, got it
or just use the esbit ;)
kinda like the fire ant stove
What kind of Zippo is that? And where can I get it? Please let me know. Thank you.
+Psychonaut vector thunderbird Zippo torch insert. Preparedmind101.com in the fire section
Nice video! Also, I think I have a theory on the dislikes it has earned. Given that this is a British company, your American attitude as to the proper temperature to brew tea is probably the reason. I have been told the the water is most definitely supposed to be boilING, not boilED when it hits the leaves. They take this very seriously. The proper technique when using a pot involves swishing boiling water in the empty teapot so as to warm the pot. This water is then discarded, the leaves are added and more boiling water is added.
Your suggestion that there is a difference in temperature for brewing tea and disinfecting river water probably had them throwing popcorn at their computer screens and cursing.
Oh well, they'll get over it. And I misspoke, It's a German company. I was fed disinfo and it stuck in my head. people dislike because of me more than the product.
I just put water in the microwave for 50 seconds....
In a pinch it works great with a trioxane tablet will heat water for cup of coffee or can of ravioli. Like heating a can of C--rats !! Tried and tested by myself !!! USMC 69-73
did that table glass crack?
+ORGANDONOR no
But you can't Baton wood with it!?! :)
WOW! now that is a cool piece of junk. I always need more junk, because my junk drawer isn't quite full enough of junk yet What a deal for 23 something bucks. I love turning my money into junk, and what a great way to do it. Thanks for this video. Hahahaha. Can they make one a little smaller? It would be cool if I could just use match heads to fire it up with. The time it would take to cut match heads, That would mean wasting time and money, That would be so cool.
Chris don't you love Beckers huh.
LMAO...
It's on amazon for a lot cheaper
He probably has on his Amazon store
nice but you only saying that as it free. lol not really watched you cure to people saying that. It looks handy for inside tent in winter when you not want to get out bed and make a fire for a drink. You right being cool is a good reason to buy things. I have a fire piston they not reliable they not fast they are cool though so i got one plus it came with built in ferro rod so if i can get it to start i can use the ferro rod.
it depends on how much water youre boiling, I use my EDC stove with a 450ml titanium mug, it gets to a rolling boil fine with a single Esbit tablet
Where's the microwave on that little stove??? What, no clock or anything? Really Chris you're gonna have to start pickin it up a little.
From a South African perspective that's an advantage. We have something called loadshedding - i.e. the power goes out. Every day. This gizmo doesn't run on electricity...
Tiny twig stove only.
I like your enthusiasm in the beginning of the video! This might be a good choice for my EDC kit. I just uploaded a video of my EDC kit. Check it out if you get a chance.
Damn I want a cup a tea me everyday
SHIT $26 BUCKS ? , I CAN MAKE ONE OUT OF DOLLAR STORE TINS AND SOME METAL SHEARS
Buy a can of tuna and poke some hole through it. I swear everything with EDC in the name is just.. pretty much useless. Now the bigger versions of these are cool
