Good solution! How did you handle releasing the freon? Did you just cut and evacuate the freon into the air? I have a similar issue in my 1999 ford. I already repaired the coolant lines, but I am unsure how to handle the AC lines as I dont want humidity to enter the system
Is there a specific way to attach the makeshift plugs so when I recharge the system there will be no leaks i.e. adding in orings or using silicone/another sealant around the plug once it’s attached?
It works, but why didn`t u add bypass closer to the pump or radiator? The best way for the bypass and proper way will be to buy two ac hoses and plugs or bypass from the commercial version of this van. Tutorial is useful but not smart.
I purchased the ebay plug kit and it still says "pending" on USPS tracking. If it doesn't ship I'm going to cancel my order and try out your method. Was there a lot of loss of freon or liquid from the heater lines?
To my knowledge from watching CZcams, it’s recommended to take to a specialist to have them empty and remove the pressure first. Would love to hear if that’s what this guy did first or not. I think I’m gonna try this method as well, good luck dude and be safe!
@@DAMIANxYOUNG Block off kit arrived last week. Successfully removed the ac/heater unit today, but I'm looping the coolant hose in the doghouse and blocking off the ac lines by the engine like in user @wannabfree 's video (czcams.com/video/N6MErXCggDo/video.html). I'm stuck at trying to disconnect the ac lines in the space available, as others have commented experiencing the same issue. Fresh eyes and hands tomorrow I guess. Round 2! Fight!
@@markoanes718 Good luck Mark!! Rooting for you homie. Ordered my block off kit couple days ago, one from amazon and the cheaper one from ebay, gonna see if the ebay one fits on the rear opening where the unit is disconnected but if not just do the same strategy as you. Then return which ever one I don't use. We'll be rear ac-less soon for sure!
It would be nice if you actually showed us how to remove it 😮💨
Very good presentation. I am doing the same job, and this was helpful.

So you didn’t mess up with under the hood at all? N left all the pipes where they are? That seems easier
Did you have to cap the vacuum line for the switch controls?
Coolant lines, no doubt. That'll work. A/c lines, Looks like it'll work, but could leak maybe? How did it work? Thanks.
Bom trabalho
