Those mowers are not designed to cut 3 week 12" long crass! Designed the cut grass every 7-10 days max!
Hey Johnny! I just reached the hydros on my Toro timecutter 3225.
The rear tires were replaced with wider tires and I had to use 2) 1/2" washers as spaces on the frame clearance.
This mower was under 3.5 feet of water during the last flood. I hope to get another 5+ years from this mower.
Thanks for all of your reviews!
The local DPW landscapers are pushing me toward a Ferris 48 stander for my 2Ac. Residential property.
Northeast NJ!
Johnny...have had a Toro 2000 for three years and everything you say is true...love the quality. Been a fan since your 'Keep on walking ' days..would love to meet you someday
Have you tested any of the new bad boy commercial mowers in regards to cut quality
We have a 5000 with over 3000 hours. It 10 years old n still runs strong. Toro killed it w design/performance! Cool vidjia
Wow that is awesome. What things have you had to do with that at that hour range?
I 've done the maint and service work to both our equipment for last 2 seasons
Great review👍
Thanks
Just bought the quikchute for my grandstand and said same things you did 😂😂 awesome video Johnny 👍🏼
Thanks my friend it’s a bit expensive but works really well
@@JohnnyMow I love how my handle is right next to the deck handle. I actually did a video on an oil change but mentioned that quik chute in the beginning and almost said what you said word for word 😂😂
I'm in the northwest and pay $ 6.44 a gal for non ethanol . My go to mower is a grandstand 36 in. My favorite. I have a husqvarna 52 in zero turn and entertaining the thought of a Toro zero turn.
Love it sir 🙌
Looking good coach! Hope you're doing well!
Thank you trying to manage everything
Hey Johnny just letting you know CAL,S LAWN MAINTENANCE GAVE YOU A NICE SHOUT OUT
Hi Johnny, have you ever cut with a grasshopper mower? They are phenomenal mowers and they are tough as nails. I like the brand because they fly under the radar, worth trying out sometime. One of my grasshoppers has 2300 hours and not a single issue yet, and that’s 2300 hours bagging.
I've heard good things about them.
I’ve heard similar things but I’ve never used one yet.
Not good in wet grass
have you remedied the discharge baffle clumping issue at all or do you just live with it when the grass is wet
I now put wd40 dry lube on it and it has not been a issue this year I actually forgot that. But I also don’t cut extremely wet grass either.
Congratulations on your 700 hour on your Toro 3000 mower there johnny
Thanks
@@JohnnyMow you are welcome young man 😎👍
Johnny you think I should stick with Ferris Z2 or switch to Toro grandstand down here in monroeville
Ferris z2
The toro does not like to go up hills but boy can it go side to side. I also think it cuts better but it throws further which causes you to clean up more
How’s it going up north? Down here in Pittsburgh we’re dry as a bone. Haven’t cut in 2 weeks. Grass is dead
I’m cutting about half. We got a thunderstorm earlier this week which helped. We need more tho
Good video Johnny 💪cheapest gas here was $4.44 per gallon for 87 octane w/ethanol. Our last fill up on our tanks was $4.97 per gallon for 91 non ethanol octane
You use 91 in your z? That’s like 5.29 a gallon here
@@JohnnyMow yep we use 91 non in everything, truck, mowers, stick equipment, etc. I don’t fool around with ethanol, it’s garbage.
@@JsCrazyCutzLLC ohhhh our non ethanol is really expensive here it’s 6.00 a gallon
@@JohnnyMow WOW that’s crazy
I use all Exmark. Im in New Hampshire/Mass area. Turf Tracer 48 with 19hp kawasaki, works great, and 52 lazer with 23hp koheler. Lazer has around 2k hours still going strong. Most guys can get 3,500-4,500 hours out of exmarks.
That’s a lot of hours my man.
Hey Johnny…I have the same Koehler efi engine but on a 60 inch exmark s-series that I bought in 2018 as a demo with 100 hrs on it from the dealer. Have you had a issue with a very slow oil drip from the oil filter? Been doing it since I got it . Thought maybe I didn’t tighten the filter enough back when I first notice it happen but even more tight still does it. Dealer doesn’t know why it does it. Can’t find anything on the internet about it
Yes it happened to me twice. The filiter comes loose so I continually check it. If that’s not it it is a seal in the sump pump that goes bad it’s happened to me in the past
@@JohnnyMow awesome thank you !
Yes! 💯✔️💪🏽
Thanns you my man
Dude !! Can u do a video on qwickchute and does your emperor have a stripe kit!???
I can and no stripe kit def not needed
Have to say im happy with my toro. I bought a 60 inch titan max last year with the 27 HP kohler and its been much better than the tow gravely hd 60s I had.
Toro makes a good product.
Next time I level my deck I am gonna set true 1/4” inch rake which is measured from the front of the middle blade facing forward vs to the two rear blades rear tips. This is because the middle blade has an lower effective height of cut being further forward. Gonna give more even cut…
Mine is about 1/4 it cuts amazing.
@@JohnnyMow that’s what I run currently however, I noticed the middle of the cut row is slightly lower cut so reducing should fix that as well as improve the cut on stemmy grass. Have been cutting/setting up reel mowers recently which cut at .5-.1 inches with cools season turf which is quite a shift…
@@pementerprises7706 Good luck with that, patience is your friend 😆 Hopefully no tree roots etc 🙏💥
@@shanew7361 not my personal yard, on a dedicated turf research facility, most of the time the ground have been cleared and leveled…
5.59 in Phx Az
Wow that’s 50 cents higher then here
I run the toro 6000 with the briggs37efi beast of a machine motor may be hard to work on tight fit i have also switched to the exmark blades longer cutting edge short tail cuts even better
Interesting on the blades never used them on a toro.
@@JohnnyMow I use the Exmark blades on my 52" Multiforce. They're cheaper at my dealer than the Toro ones and don't have to be ordered like the Toro ones.
@@CedricOwens I’m going to check into this.
@@CedricOwens thank you for the info
@@JohnnyMow check on line much cheaper than dealer and good quality
I think I was already a friend here, hmm Well I am again, sorry about that. I have the Toro Grandstand and we just purchased a Z Master Series 5000 60 inch. Thats a big mower. So far loving the series 5000, Im going to have to check out one of those Quickshoots. Good video
Put out some up to date videos !!
Gas has doubled in the last year here in Alberta Canada, it’s $7.50 a gallon
Wow that’s up there
@@JohnnyMow we have something called a carbon tax here in Canada, it has added about 1 dollar per gallon since they implemented plus oil is up too , its crippling
I want to buy a toro 5000 series or 6 but you think these are the best can you explain why I have owned scag ferris and John deere why should I buy a toro not e-mark explain or advice
Well I can’t say what you should do. The mowers you out lined 5000 6000 are very expensive so I would choose wisely Exmark is even more expensive. If your SCAg Ferris or John Deere are working fine then I would not change. For me tho toro Exmark 1 Ferris 2
@@JohnnyMow I was going to trade in
Want something more comfortable be my last buy
@@chrismiesner6973 Ferris is the most comfortable mower I’ve used hands down.
@@chrismiesner6973 Ferris is the most comfortable
I found a 5000 series with the mride system on it 60 in 25horse 10500 with 50 hours I could trade in my scag on it what do you think
What SCAg do you have how many hours on it and what part of the country you in
@@JohnnyMow louisville ky 800 hours
@@JohnnyMow tiger cat 2013
@@JohnnyMow ?
@@chrismiesner6973 most def 5000 is a much better mower then the tiger at.
I just got a new Toro grandstand couple weeks ago got 65 hours on it now 2022 52 inch deck efi I must say I can't stand what Toro did with the new spindles with all the bolts and nuts sticking out underneath them you can't even scrape them
I agree my biggest complaint centerblade next to the back baffle horrible
Sweet! Did you get the Multi Force or straight Grandstand? I have a Grandstand, which I love, Imlooking forward to getting a Multi Force at some point!
$5.60 here in Phoenix
Wow
$5.11 in iowa.
2 cents more in Iowa. Wow gas is sure funny how these prices are
how bout 4000 toro
5.09
We are the same
I have had enough! Johnny mow .... LIES! Liar liar!!! AND I QUOTE "I will never own another carb. engine" So Johnny mow.... Tell me where you bought your fuel injected string trimmers? HAHAHA
Your right. You got me I hate them too but battery life sucks so I’m stuck. You got me good my man
