I still can't come to terms with the fact that a 90s talented lad with such a tongue-in-cheek attitude has become a mature man with a trascendent musical genius, capable of reaching the hearts of so many people, not only with his songs, but also with his political engagement. Damon Albarn, one of the few who have evolved both humanly and artistically. What a man.
Agreed except that Damon was a trascendent musical genius from the beginning. His compositions and themes have always been remarkable, as has his performance (raukus or not). Yes, he's aged gracefully. Many others have too though. And age and maturity changes your outlook. I've grown up with Damon as an influence on my own artistic practice. I don't know him, but I know his muse very well and they haven't changed a bit!

and to answer your question, now that I read it haha, I think that is why people don't like it, cause it sounds pretty much boring on the CD! and here, when he sings it sounds so sweet, and he puts some passion on it, as always, so I think this is a must-seen-performed track :P

this is one of my favorite song on the album (well basically i love all tbh), its calm and sweet and the melody from drum,bass, and guitar (specially from guitar) its so beautiful. Like my terracotta heart, you know its mellow and smooth :)

A very nice performance :) I like TMW, lots of decent songs on the record. For me, Oasis were better at writing pop-rock hits, hence the difference in #1 singles achieved (Oasis 8-2 Blur). But having said that, Oasis probably couldn't have made an album like The Magic Whip. It's arty - and that is Blur's domain.

bass and drums are SO quiet, almost ruins a great live studio performance. who cuts half the frequencies of an acoustic bass?
