While Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh were abroad on duty - as it was Princess Margaret's role and the next in line as the stand in councillor of state (Prince Charles was to young and hadn't become of age to take the councillor's position), she put on a banquet party according to 'The Crown'.
