  • Last week I visited the beautiful historic village of Amerongen in one of the most scenic seasons of the year, Autumn. This is a real of the beaten path gem in The Netherlands. Let me show you this beautiful place...

The place I grew up in, and it is really the perfect place to grow up in. Love it to bits. Every part of it, from the old village, historic buildings and castle to exploring the forests and plains by foot, bike or horse. Also the pefect neighbourhoods where it always felt like there was something fun to do.
Lived in a few places since, but I'm really happy there's always a house for me there to return to in Amerongen.

It's indeed a lovely place in such a beautiful region. I can imagine that it must be amazing to grow up in Amerongen. Like you mention, it has everything a child could wish for.

The waterpump does work. Just push the, modern, button on the pump to get the water flowing. Even Amerongen is entering the modern age. 😆
