Fallen Avatar was defeated by (essentially) a mortal. We don't really see how powerful Azshara became after becoming a Naga, but I'm pretty sure she's more powerful than Archimonde, Kil'jaden, and probably on par with the Titan Keepers.

    • @Knallpulverklemp
      @Knallpulverklemp Před 4 lety +20

@@Kylora2112 Fallen avatar was defeated by THE Guardian, and it was planned that Sargeras would lose to her because he was waiting for the chance to either take over her or if she ever had a child. Which she did, which was Medivh, and used Medivh to do numerous heinous acts in order to take down Azeroth from within. But Sargeras avatar was really just a husk compared to when Aegwynn defeated it. Also I wouldn't call Aegwynn "essentially" a mortal, she prolonged her life and youth for several hundred years using her magic alone.
But Helya is probably more accurate for the number 10 spot since there really is no telling from where she got her powers, which to me, seem Old God inspired.
Also honestly Kil'Jaeden is more powerful than Archimonde, mostly because he was alive for longer and also because he actually never died. Archimonde first passed away at the battle of Hyjal. Kil'Jaeden never died in the sunwell raid, we simply just kicked him back into the portal which he had created.

I still argue that Azshara was the most powerful mortal to ever have lived, even before the Sundering and even before the Legion's first invasion of Azeroth. She lived her life right next to the Well of Eternity (a direct font of Azeroth's Titanic power) and drank power from it all her life (then ageless, thanks to the Aspect-blessed world tree granting all Night Elves immortality from death by old age).
Then she got bored and opened universe-spanning communication with the Burning Legion in a bid for _even more_ power, as well as opening a cross-universe portal by herself to bring the Legion to Azeroth. After she got more power from the Legion, she also got _even more power again_ from N'zoth when the Sundering happened, and then an additional 10,000 years since then to modern day WoW to accumulate even more power and magical expertise.
She was also able to shatter the Tidestone of Golganneth, a Titan-created world-shaping artifact, solo.
Her Warbringer short even shows just how much power she had before N'zoth, when she creates and maintains (even if only for a short time) a city-wide barrier holding back the entire ocean mid-Sundering alone, in an effort to protect her people.

In War of the ancients book, it was only stated that the night elves revered her and that she was indeed powerful, and Mannoroth was concerned about not angering her, but there was no mention of her rivalring Archimonde Also, I found no Lore reason why she should be SO much more powerful than the other high born, she was just a normal, but kinda powerful mage, no way guardian level.
But she did basically nothing herself. No idea how much that is still canon, though.

      Literal unquestioned number 1
Destro Lock - Scepter of Sargeras
Literally the scepter of Sargeras, it can tear apart planets with ease, spill oceans onto land at will and was the weapon that turned Draenor into Outland when wielded by Ner'Zhul
      Unquestioned number 2
      Holy Priest - T'uure
Literally a magical space wind chime on a stick, can bring people back from the literal dead
Holy shit why the fuck did Blizzard give us these? Mix and match them in any order you want
Windwalker Monk - Fist of the Heavens
Raw uncontained Al'Akir juice in your hands

Strong enough to be apart of BFA
      Resto Shamans - Sharas'dal
      Uncorrupted Well of Eternity water

This scythe is literally how the druids work lol, all their powers, their entire existence and how they did work was all because of this staff.
      Arcane Mages - Alune'th
Aegwyn had it and chose it when she went toe to toe against the Scepter of Sargeras
      Mistweaver Monks - Shei'lun
Remember how the expansion was called Mists of Pandaria? This staff is single handedly responsible for that and kept an entire continent hidden for seemingly centuries.
Magic weapons that didn't really do much but they probably could have
Blood DK - Maw of the Damned
      Magic blood sucking axe
Frost DK - Blades of the Fallen Prince
      Pieces of Frostmourne
Feral Druid - Fangs of Ashamane
      Wild god teeth
Guardian Druid - Claws of Ursoc
      Wild god hands.
      Survival Hunters - Talonclaw
Like literally every Wild God ever blessed this thing with a portion of their power lol
      Brewmaster Monks - Fu'Zan
Freya (From Ulduar) planted a tree then she grabbed a stick to walk with it, then she gave it to Yu'Lon and Yu'Lon blessed it then Yu'Lon gave it to a monkey
      Holy Pallies - Tyr's Hand
Tyr had it when he died.
      Ret Pallies - Ashbringer
Magni made a sword that can kill the undead
Ele Shamans - Fist of Ra'den
Ra'den had some really cool weapons but then he lost them and Xuen found them and decided to hold on to them because they were cool
      Affliction Locks - Uthalesh
Sargeras made a scythe that could suck souls then gave it to a lady that killed the Deadwind Pass then she died
      Demo locks - Thal'kiel
The guy who taught Archimonde everything he knows was killed by Archimonde then his skull was used to empower summoning stuff
Weapons wielded by really cool people, maybe some magic, maybe not, not enough to be a magic weapon
      Unholy DK - Apocalypse
Dreadlords made it and I guess they never used it because there's like no info on what this sword actually does
      Havoc DH - Twinblades
Just some blades that some demon hunter had
      Vengeance DH - Aldrachi Warblades
A race called the Aldrachi got wiped out by the Legion but the last surviving guy killed a lot of demons with these weapons so the Legion grabbed them.
      BM Hunters - Titanstrike
Mimiron made a really cool gun
      MM Hunters - Thas'dorah
Alleria had it before she went bye bye
      Fire Mages - Felo'Malorn
Kael'Thas had it and he used it when he got his ass kicked by Arthas then he dropped it
      Frost Mages - Ebonchill
Some cool mage guy used it.
      Prot Pallies - Truthguard
Some Vrykul had it and covered Archaedus and Tyr's escape when they stole the Discs of Norgannon
      Disc Priest - Light's Wrath
The Scarlet Crusade tried and failed to make the Ashbringer 2 electric boogaloo and it exploded
      Assassin Rogue - Kingslayers
Gul'dan made some daggers so Garona could kill King Llane
      Outlaw Rogues - The Dreadblades
      Some pirate had them
Sub Rogues - Fangs of the Devourer
Sargeras had a puppy that he really liked but then his dog died so he turned his teeth into daggers.
      Enh Shamans - Doomhammer
      Thrall's really cool weapon
      Arms Warrior - Strom'kar
A sword that can kill trolls through they regeneration ability but then Warriors learned Mortal Strike and they didn't really need the sword anymore
Fury Warrior - Swords of the Vala'jar
A guy who really liked Odyn tried to kill Helya when she imprisoned him but he died and Helya kept his swords.
Prot Warriors - Scale of the Earthwarder
Deathwing lost a scale and a guy made a shield out of it
And the actual real strongest artifact weapon
      Fishermen - Underlight Angler
It's made of magic murloc and we didn't have to use it to destroy the sword so it's way better than all these useless paperweights up there.

I'd argue that in terms of WoW bosses, Archimonde shouldn't be #10 but actually should be Algalon the Observer. While we don't know much of the beings called the Constellar, we know that Algalon single-handedly had the power of the cosmos, able to create black holes as well as stars and rend time and space as we know it. We also know that if we did not stop Algalon, he had the power to, on his own, send Reply Code: Omega which signaled to the Titans that the world required a complete restart.
    - Also, instead of Archimonde, there is a flurry of other titan keepers that you fight in Ulduar, to the point that if you wanted to fully and accurately create this list, half the list would be Ulduar due to the presence of Thorim, Freya, Mimiron and Hodir. All of which I'd argue are much more powerful than Archimonde due to their feats against the Old Gods.

I think Illidan could be on this list. In your strongest faction leader video you said that they had to be a faction leader and their measure of power was taken from when they were the strongest regardless of if they were the faction leader while they were most powerful. If that's the same in this video, Illidan wasn't as powerful when he was the final boss in black temple but now after he's killed a na'aru and is Sargeras' jailer (a fallen titan that was capable of killing the other titans and cleaved a planet in half). He siphons the power of demons getting stronger after every one he kills. Getting into speculation territory, I think now as Sargeras' jailer he can siphon Sargeras' power basically infinitely as he regains strength from the twisting nether.
Illidan could be high on this list if not the top. Of course if he only counts as his appearance in black temple he wouldn't be on the list. Either way I enjoyed the video. Side note it would be cool if Illidan with Sargeras' power added to his pulls the sword from silithus to heal the wound.

For this specific instance the cannon way Yoggy was defeated was with the help of all the titan keepers, and it was still just a small portion of his full power since most of yoggy was still trapped in his prision. We basicly fought yoggys big toe that was sticking out of his jail bars with the help of a couple very powerful beings. The Lich king himself isn't even all that powerful. Most of his power comes from his army, as explained by the lore developers he would lose versus Lei Shen 1v1 but if both of their entire armies were fighting including them The lich king would win.

I would argue that the Old Gods themselves are not actually very powerful at all, albeit still incredibly dangerous. Their "power" comes from the ability to corrupt and control other extremely powerful beings, up to and including nascent titans, which in itself does not increase their own strength. They are just puppet-masters, not all that powerful individually. They need to play the long game in order to turn enemies against themselves, using *their* power as a weapon of their own. In a 1 on 1 encounter, without the delay caused by their minions allowing time to influence and corrupt their attacker, any individual Old God would probably be fairly easy to defeat.
I would place Deathwing at #4 on this list (ahead of the Old Gods, obviously), for all the reason you gave, including because the source of his was given to him by Khaz'goroth, giving him vast power over the planet itself, some additional level of power given by the Old Gods (mentioned in Dawn of the Aspects), as well as (SPECULATION) an amount of power coming from his extended exposure to Azerite. Being the Earth-Warder, he would have been in proximity to Azerite, as Gallywix explained that even before Sargeras plunged his sword into Azeroth there were still pockets of Azerite in the deep earth, Deathwing's domain.
But #3 on my list was one you did not mention (Possibly because he's technically a dungeon boss, not a raid boss) is Murozond. Still having the full powers given to him by Aman'Thul, the Highfather of the Pantheon of Titans, and without regard to maintaining the sanctity of time. I would argue that control over time is the most powerful ability the Titans gave the aspects, being able to travel through the timewaves to alter past actions, I should have been near impossible to defeat him, unless you too had control over time (or a big sad bronze boy's help), because he could simply travel back to your birth and kill you there. What makes him so powerful is his disregard for maintaining the timelines, allowing him to alter anything that doesn't suit his desires, and without the direct aid of Nozdormu, or a titan, Murozond would be able to defeat any other being on Azeroth. Wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey cheating powers.

    • @Sunny-zf1cm
      @Sunny-zf1cm Před 4 lety

I would say that the Old Gods themselves are actullay very powerful in brute strength as well. The reason why old gods are mainly puppet masters is due to the fact that they were pretty much always locked up and couldn't use their brute force. Once an old god is no longer locked up, they can use incredibly strong raw power, strong enough to destroy an entire world I'd say. Their goal is never to just destroy a world though, the void's goal has always been coruption. The old gods aren't just going to blow everything up, they're going to corrupt it or die trying. Also I'd say that manipulation power is valuable enough to land you a spot on a strongest raid bosses list anyways. Raw physical power isn't everything. It's not like all of the old god's manipulation takes years either, some of it is just powerful instant manipulation. They can just walk up to you and mind control you or make you go insane as they do for raid mechanics. The old gods don't want to blow up azeroth (Death wing almost did tho so idk if they were gonna stop him at some point or what was going on there, maybe they already knew the heros would win?), especially due to azeroth holding a titan (one of the strongest apparently) that they could corrupt. If the old gods did want to blow up azeroth, it would've happened when they were all on azeroth and already controlling it for the most part. When you're playing chess, the objective isn't to flip the table and destroy the chess board even though you can easily do so, it's to win the game of chess lol. They've never been playing a game of brute strength even though they clearly have brute strength. The old gods will literally die just to win their game of chess. They'll leave the heros thinking that they've defeated all the corruption when in reality their death was just a distraction for a checkmate.

    • @--Dan-
      @--Dan- Před 4 lety

@@Sunny-zf1cm What makes you think they have the power to destroy the planet though? They've never demonstrated anything like that.
The Old God fights in game have all consisted of minions, manipulations, and barriers, ment to extend the fight as long as possible in order to corrupt you. But once you get past those and it's just you alone with them, they tend to just fall over. If they were on their own from the start, it wouldn't be much of a contest between us and them.
Remember that the keepers (Most of whom we've defeated ourselves), were able to overcome the fully empowered Old Gods AND their fully stocked up armies, all while being careful not to actually kill them. The Old Gods are the parasite minions of the Void Lords, spewed out probably by the billions in order to infect as many planets as possible; They're not the big bads.
Think about it this way: The Old Gods on their own are best represented by the final stages of each of their raid fights. Their power unshackled can be overcome by a few keepers. Now imagine the fight between that, and Deathwing, who we had to shoot twice with the twice empowered Demon Soul, throw him into the maelstrom, sacrifice all the other Aspect's powers, and were still barely able to defeat him.
There's no question in my mind that in a 1v1 Deathwing wrecks every Old God FAR before they could ever manipulate him.

Titans (Sargarus, Argus, Azeroth...) creates Titan keepers (Loken, Odin...) which are on the same power level as Archmond and Kiljaedan (also creations of a Titan). And the Lich king is a creation of Kiljaedan, so another level below that. The Lich king really isn’t that powerful, especially compare to the rest of the list, as lore states Yogg saron is much more powerful than the Lich king. Fun fact: the blood of Yogg saron, saronite, actually corrupted the undead that was sent to mine them, and the undead is thought to be incorruptible

I'm kinda late to find this video, but i think you've miss someone insanely important of the lore of azeroth, probably stronger than the old gods.
If we look at the lore, Algalon is supposed to be stronger than the titan keepers, he's in charge of monitoring azeroth, he's not part of the keepers, he's another kind race, which isn't even a titan one, the constellars.
We don't even know if algalon was created by the titans or is part of the ultra powerful "Constellar" race found in our universe. the lore says *Their leader Aman'Thul called upon the constellar*, which mean to me he didn't created them, but simply found this race and asked them to work for the titans. There are only one of a kind, placed on each planets the titans are monitoring, and they are task to reset the planets (that are baby titans, let's remember that) if things go wrong. i actually wouldn't even be shocked to learn that he's stronger than the old gods, seen he wasn't affected by Yogg at all after all theses year, right next to his body. We can also remember that yogg didn't send the titan keepers to attack algalon at all, which seem to put him in the list for the strongers entity on the planet.
We can also look at the fact that the most corrupted keeper, Loken, which is completely crazy by the end wrath wouldn't even try to attack algalon. Loken is trying anything he can to protect his secrets, the lore showed it, he's even trying to destroy the other titan keepers and the tools of that the titan gave them, yet he hasn't tried once to attack algalon. he's obviously aware of him, algalon is the supervisor of the keeper, he's the direct supervisor of loken, yet he tries nothing, which proves to me he's weaker than him.
it's obvious algalon will one day find the corruption, loken, even with all his power, can't hide it forever, and he's the one that can reset the planet, killing the old gods, the new masters of Loken AND the keepers. That's something loken and the old gods wouldn't want at all and killing algalon would be the only way to prevent azeroth from being reset if not for the determination showed by the weaker races of azeroth (damn algalon is so nice to let us live, he's got a little beating heart that love tiny beings that want to save their planets, even thoses damn gnomes). There's also another theory that could explain why they don't touch algalon at all, or at least can't, but i think it's false, since the old god corruption didn't affected algalon when he was right next to an old god. With that theory, We could think that even if he was weaker than loken, if loken tries to kill him, the battle would simply end with algalon activating the reset of azeroth immediatly while holding loken, and nothing else. in the end, algalon can't be touched by loken, even if he was stronger, since algalon will be strong enough to fight him for a long time, and the reset of the planet would be activated before algalon dies.
I genuinely think algalon is stronger than the keeper, the constellars seem to be the closest things to titans, being their direct messengers and a race that was here when the titan awoken from their slumbers (and just the name is an obivous reference to our reality, constellation and planets are binded together. A constellation is a bunch of planets, we immediatly think about the objectives of the race of alagalon, the constellars watch over the planets until they reach their titan form.)
just for a bit more lore, it is said *Its primary function is to monitor Azeroth for any signs of corruption and, in the event of the death of the appointed Prime Designate* (here, it's talking about loken when he wasn't corrupted)*, proceed to conduct an analysis of the planet for the presence of systemic corruption in which he would re-originate the planet, bringing about the end of all life on Azeroth.*
Algalon said himself *I have seen worlds bathed in the Makers' flames, their denizens fading without so much as a whimper. Entire planetary systems born and razed in the time that it takes your mortal hearts to beat once. Yet all throughout, my own heart devoid of emotion... of empathy.
    I. Have. Felt. Nothing. A million-million lives wasted. Had they all held within them your tenacity? Had they all loved life as you do?*
It can possibly say two thing. Either algalon was shown by the titans what his task was and how world ends when he activate the kill-switch. OR, and it's probably what actually happened, it mean that Algalon himself destroyed multiple worlds that were corrupted by old gods before (or at least similar creature that are as strong, since they destroyed the keepers of the other planets and corrupted it beyond saving), yet, he's still here, alive and checking on azeroth, in a room completely clean, where nobody tried to enter.
Algalon is the last line of defense in the absence of the titans, he's the messenger, i can't think of a stronger entity on azeroth than him. And if his raw power is maybe not insane (i still think he's insanely strong. he kills the players like ants if we think about it, if you don't show your determination fast enough, he just kill everyone and reset the planet xD, not even the keepers can do this.) , he's got complete power over azeroth itself.
I'm also actually kinda sad to see that Blizzard completely forgot about him. he's alive, and a ultra powerful entity. since he doesn't want to destroy azeroth anymore, he should fight, or at least train the players to help them remove the existing corruption from azeroth...
we could also think that, as the last line of defense, it's better to wait and check every now and then in case the players fail to remove the corruption, to not put himself in danger and to always be able to have the strenght to reset azeroth at any time.

I think Deathwing was more powerful than the Old Gods in terms of raw strength.
If you were to pit the corrupted Deathwing against any of the weakened Old Gods (since that's how we face them in game), Deathwing would certainly be the one to come out on top.
The core strength of the Old Gods lie in their ability to attack the mind, whittling down your sanity and such. I think people tend to forget just how firm Neltharion's will once was. You have to remember that Deathwing only became their minion after millennia of being exposed to their corruption.

Deathwing wouldn't compare even to N'zoth ( the physically weakest ) in terms of raw strength, the old gods span literal kingdoms, their tentacles would be far larger than Neltharion himself. He's just a super-charged dragon you can't compare him with eldritch cosmic horrors hundreds of times his size.. sure he can probably win against the avatars players get to fight but if one of them suddenly surfaced he'd just get slapped out of the sky.. it's like comparing an old god with a titan.. the strongest of them just got ripped off the planet and flung into the cosmos like it was just a weed..

I always though that the difference in stats from WoD to legion was too astronomical, where a tank used to have around 800k hp at the end of WoD they would go to have up to near or over 10m by the end of Legion, or dps dealing over millions in damage. Now i see that this might have been was the visual way to represent how powerfull the artifact weapons made our characters to the point that each one was now pretty much their own raid bosses to pre legion standards. And the power squish we recieved in BfA also a way to visually show all the power we lost when we lost the Artifacts and we were now back at normal levels of power.

Honestly, the power level differences between Archimonde, Kil'jaeden, Azshara, Medivh / Aegwynn, and Deathwing (possibly also Lei Shen) I think are very small and I'd have a hard time picking a winner. I would say that Azshara is 100% without a doubt as powerful as Archimonde or Kil'jaeden seeing as Manny himself stated that she was on par with them back when she was still a Night Elf before being empowered by N'zoth. Medivh / Aegwynn are guardians that I would say are on equal power levels, and Aegwynn solo'd the Avatar of Sargeras while Medivh struck fear into the heart of Deathwing. Lei Shen is up there because he stole the power of Aman'thul and Ra-den and was such a massive threat that the Forge of Origination was used to kill him. The weirdest character to determine in terms of power level is Deathwing, as I feel like he received a massive boost in his power once Cata came out with the Cata lore. In the older books, there is a part where Deathwing gets into a fight with Gruul (not a character that is particularly powerful, maybe on par with Manny or Magtheridon) and Khadgar and quite frankly lost the battle pretty hard, whereas in Cataclysm he was a bigger threat than perhaps even his master N'zoth and could literally nuke the entire planet with one spell.

Azshara never rivaled Sargeras, ever, and never presume to think so.
Mannoroth says the only ones capable of beating her would be Archimonde and Kil'jaeden (and Sargera) which means she is anywhere from stronger than Mannoroth only, to evenly with Archimonde and Kil'jaeden. Out of everyone in the Burning Legion and Azeroth that Mannoroth knew of, only the three could match her strength. Most people interpret that as, she is weaker than the three of them, yet there is indeed nothing stopping you from saying that she is as strong as Archimonde
Whether she is stronger than Archimonde and Kil'jaeden because she now has been influenced by the old gods is up for interpretation. Kinda like how Sargeras could beat all the other titans because he had fel magic (and he was already the strongest of them), which is like the most effective magic against them; who knows how useful Azshara's new powers truly are?
