Running Britain - Day 3 - Bowness on Solway to Whitrigg

July 25th 2023 - Bowness on Solway to Whitrigg.
The least inspiring video of the challenge so far.... Road, road and more road! I really wasn't looking forward to this section, but it's out of the way now at least! Just got to get the next couple done and I'll feel a whole lot better!
Itinerary: Drove from Buttermere Hostel where I was staying for a few days to Bowness on Solway. Ran to Whitrigg from Bowness on Solway, and walked back to Bowness on Solway.
Cost: Miles driven - 37 miles - Buttermere to Bowness on Solway and return

Was there no English Coastal Path route on that section Claire, you should have hitched a ride back to your car when you got to Whitrigg, i bet you were glad when you saw that Bowness on Solway road sign when entering the village.

No there wasn't unfortunately! I've thought about hitching a ride but I'm too scared! And yes I was so happy to get back to Bowness On Solway, although I still really enjoyed it - it still counts as training for my long runs so all good!
