HUGE THANKS! Finally beat it - used Alfyn's Concoct to create Healing Balm+ in combination with Saving Grace + Rehabilitation. Balogar felt like an ant lmao
@@vijaychandran4824 no problem, wasn't even a strat, I just had that bow and spammed that attack with haanit and went through the fight, it was hard ngl but him missing attacks just made it bearable for a not that high level team, once you have his class, put it on tressa and you can cheese the warmaster, then the 2 other idk, they were easy
after like 20 tries i beat it, anything works as long as you are careful and think ahead however cyrus as a sorcer is kinda needed. i would also recommend running double hunter for arrow storm
That works fine, until he starts throwing out party-wide attacks at 50% HP. I had to slowly whittle away at him, keeping his attack Shackled with a Thief and abused the Cleric ultimate + HP/SP Thief to rapidly drain his shields. Having a Hunter using Legsnare to bottleneck his actions prior to Breaks also really helps.
A few criticisms I have with this is that, there is a lot of equipment you put on them that is the weaker variant (Ring = 200 Max HP vs Necklace = 1,000 Max HP). And another blemish is the fact you kept Evasive Maneuvers on when that doesn’t help you in a battle at all. Other than those two and some weird weapon and equipment choices that don’t fall under the first issue I had with the builds, it was pretty solid.
Thomas R. It doesn’t matter about that like dude nothing’s wrong with a slip up and also it doesn’t really matter as long as he did it you should be happy
If anyone could *cough cough (not Covid)* ‘remind’ me what follower that is he’s Allured? Would be very generous. Potentially also what level do you have to be to “Guide” him, instead. I should be high enough.
I just cant survive the runestorm phase. Even with Rehabilitate on whole team, it doesn't matter to him. He's two shotting my team with his consecutive turns after recovering from break.
If you still haven't done this already, I suggest the following: Sorcerer Cyrus Tressa (I made her a Cleric here for more support) Starseer Ophelia Hunter Olberic Sorcerer and Starseer are rather easy to get as long as you use the dancer's divine + reflective veil from cleric, so that's not an issue. Runelord has two elemental weaknesses, one being light and the other dark. I suggest Cyrus learns those two spells before you start, because Balogar switches unlocked weaknesses as you know. I said Hunter because of leghold trap. The main issue with Balogar when he reaches the runestorm stage is when he does get to attack you, so you want to be useing leghold trap after the turn he unbreaks, and use Cyrus + the clerics divine (which makes the target use their spells twice) to continually work to break him. It's THE most important portion of the strategy. Also Saving Grace here works a ton, I had that on Cyrus, Ophilia, and Tressa. Ophilia and Tressa are fantastic BP bots too (which Tressa donate BP and Ophilia's Starseer spell that boosts BP).
@@achooe5443 Doesnt matter, Dancer fullboost to get divine skill, use it on Cleric and let cleric get a full supplement of reflects, easy peasy. Saving grace (skill that lets you have more health also helps alot)

3:13 lol nice
You know what, Balogar's design kind of looks like a fusion of Cecil (Paladin) and Kain (Dragoon) from Final Fantasy 4.
FF4 gang
6 supremacy
If you're lucky you can break him before he puts up his defenses and he won't bring them back until like two turns before rune storm
He's one cool looking god. Likes high places considering where his shrine is located.
5 years late to this lol. I’m struggling. Going to give this strategy a try.
Just use arrow rain with 2 hunters +bows that can blind the enemy and you're done cheesing him
Thanks I used your strat in combination with the video’s. Worked perfectly

Olberic merchant. Surprised you didnt try to draw the bosses attention and use sidestep. Didnt think you could beat this dude without doing that
I did that (before I beat some of the Chapter 4 bosses) and got him down to half-health. Idk what to do after that...

i was thinking on using the incite+sidestep until he uses runestorm. Then, when he is break I use hired help, ophilia and cyrus divine

Maybe he's trying to show the min equipment needed to beat the boss. I used better stuff, but both were cool fights.
@@adamvolk6623 yeah minimal equipment pretty useful guide, since i managed to do this as soon as i finish chapter 2

Should I get Starseer or Sorcerer first?

Wait. So why did you use those rehabilitates?
Most runes deal status effects or debuffs.
