Lifetime Yukon Kayak With Trolling Motor, Custom Mount, and Foot Steering

I have a Lifetime Yukon 11'6" kayak that i put a trolling motor on, with a custom built motor mount. I also activated foot steering. It's still a work in progress. look into PWM, Pulse Width Modulator, $40-50 controller mod.... seems to be able to optimize Battery useage, as the handle controller uses same power whether its on 1 or 5..... Im setting up mine now.... tons of CZcams Vid tutorials

I have this kayak and I'm looking to add a trolling motor as well. I was wondering if the cables for the foot pedal steering could wear grooves at the holes where they go inside the kayak? I was thinking of finding some kind of brass collar or something to prevent that wear and tear over time... Or am I just over thinking this? I think your tm set up is pretty sweet from what I can see. Great job.

Thanks man. I'm not sure if it will or not. If it does start wearing, I may switch to a bike cable and sheath setup. The current cables are vinyl coated so they're pretty smooth.

Hey man, I just installed foot pedals in mine and ran tubing for the string to not wear the hull. Let me know if you want me to show you pictures or something like that
