Today we address a few more things on the slammed Sierra. Someone in the comments suggested doing an antenna delete and so we are doing it. I also wanted to replace a few of the lights in the truck with new l.e.d. On the back of the truck I ordered the spare tire lock cover and install it. We are getting closer and closer on the slammed sierra project. I am wanted to start on a few interior things and a bed liner soon.

I had the trailer hitch hole welded up and shaved (bumper was body color) and it made it much nicer

So I had a shorty antenna on my truck. Till I watched this vid and liked how clean it looked without it there. Took me a few days to find that trim piece from a escalade but got one. FB marketplace came through this time. Nice job!!

I was lucky enough to find an OEM cowl piece off of an Escalade at a junkyard, I bent the original antenna and zip tied it to the rubber strip on the cowl. Reception is fine and it looks way cleaner

I do like the antenna trick ! Now I need to find Me a 99 02 GMC ! On my 95 Sonoma I put a bullet looking brass nut on the antenna threads. The radio still works to drive to work .

Right took mine off the year I bought the truck to unlock it because I had left my keys inside and that antenna never found it’s way back on the truck thanks to this vid that hole will be closed from now on 👍🏼

Travis, you gave me a good an idea about getting rid of the antenna, I just raptor liner my 2005 GMC Sierra 1500 and also its lower down, I think by hiding the truck antenna will look much better, I also planning to change the regular night bulbs to LEd ones. Add a GS-100A to your 3rd brake light. It's a flash module that looks great with the LED upgrade. I did it on my 09 Z71
I didn't put leds in the brake lights only the cargos
I think it's a ground on your dome light. I saw it spark when you took it out. Truck looks really nice.

I have an 07 avalanche and since you showed me the light. I googled one for 07-14 Escalade and the piece for mine and they have one w/o the hole available gm part #25820730. But I'm curious if 07 and up would work on your style also. My piece mounts just like yours. So maybe since yours is discontinued 07 would work also

Adam's polish makes a product called VRP. It's great to dress up your Vinyl, Rubber and plastic pieces. Makes it look new and not glossy

I didn’t want to dig through all the comments, but the oils from you hand create a hot spot on the bulb causing it to burn out faster. It works the same on exposed lights on your house and dust settling on the bulbs.

Put Led in your visors as well as the cluster. Change the Headlights to sum more up to date lights.

led the visors too ... try a tbss steering wheel with the gmc airbag and 07+ shifter (theres a solid one the the one to shift the trans) looks clean done that to sum of my old trucks 👍🏻

I think the way you put the Led in Matters because when I put them in my car I had to flip a couple for them to work.
I had that same issue on one of them.

That truck is soooo cool & the subtle mods just make it that much nicer...would've never thought about the antenna relocate. I'm considering swapping my front bumper('05) to the '99-'02 style because I like the fog lamps better. Do you know if the bumper brackets are the same?

Gave me an idea to relocate it like the 07 and up chevys with the short shark fin on the roof.
That is the onstar antenna. Just take it off, but there will be a hole.
@@TWAMotorsports like on a 99-07 classic body style. Relocating it to the roof like 08 and up. Even tho its onstar will it still work as just a antenna

You will look at that handle guide , every-time you walk around the truck...LOL I heard GM is offering the bone stock 5.3 engine new....with warranty for $5,000 Cold tested crate motor...if you're going to keep that truck ....it's an idea......I bought my little 5.3 LS new in 2001 ...it has 225 k miles now .....runs and drives like new ...mine is black with tan interior......!

The bracket on the antenna wire broke when I pulled it apart. Did not come out like yours.
Should be able to put it back together or order a new one
Put the escalate rims in color match the bumpers
I like Escalade rims but bumpers are staying chrome.

I think u should of just immediately pulled the bumper instead of leaving it half ass and that was BEFORE u said it was $70.00 lol. Nehow try out sealight leds sometime, they look hella good quality once those burn out.
