I have actually had these seats for a while now and its time to install them in the slammed sierra. In todays video we show you how to install power and heated seats from a tahoe or suburban into your gmc sierra or chevy silverado. I did have the seats recovered and new seat heaters added while doing so. I think adding power leather seats to a gmc sierra or chevy silverado gives the truck that upgraded look. I also wanted the seats with fold down arm rest to match the console as all the trucks with consoles have fold down arm rests. I wanted to seat swap for sierra and silverado to look factory so I added a factory plug under the dash and used factory plugs under the seat. Adding leather and Heat just add to the new look that I was going for.

I had a '99 NBS Sierra 2500 SLE as my first truck, it was also a regular cab and had visions of doing this when I had it. Looks killer!
Thank you
Great video. Thank you for explaining the wiring/plug for the seat, you make things look easy. Also, the color combo on the seats is perfect. Can't wait to see the next video on this truck.
Thank you. I like the new look
That is a clean install makes the truck look 100% better.
Thank you
Nice! Really like the detailed explanation. Keep em coming. Do one for OBS power mirror conversion. 👍
It already has power mirrors.
The short bed is sick..I’m putting six way power seats out of an 03 burban into a 99 Sierra ext cab so this video is a huge help
Nice. Glad I could help
The leather seats look great. I recovered the seats in my 13 Silverado. Huge difference! Can’t wait to see more truck content. Thanks for the great videos Travis.
Thank you Larry. More to come eventually
Absolutely fantastic very informative video! You've inspired me to do this to my 99 Sierra. I picked everything to do the swap yesterday.
Thank you. Good luck on yours
Great video man. Thanks for doing this. I have an 02 and an 03 suburban. I want to upgrade the seats to the power and heated. This helps a lot.
Thank you. Glad I could help
I’ve been waiting on the install even though I have the 05. I already did this mod and it plugs in that same spot under the kick panel, but I was told I’d need Bcm flashed because it’s not getting any power. I did the manual doors to power, with heated seats, heated power fold mirrors. I basically use my emergency battery jump box to adjust my seats when needed. I use a universal window on Amazon to power the windows until I can get my bcm flashed, but good video.
Yeah bcm controls 03 up stuff
That is awesome 👌🏻 you know what anyone out there, this is your guy for these trucks! Absolutely amazing I have searched in all the wrong places on form after form and 2 years later you made a video about it. I’m definitely doing this in spring on my 2000 Silverado rcsb , greatly appreciated and the only other question I would love to see is how to switch crank windows to power. I have everything already installed and the only thing I need is to put power to the wires. If you could shoot me a msg or make a video (vid is better) I would love that aswell! Your awesome man! Thanks again for doing what you do
Again you are awesome man 👊🏻
Thank you. Power windows will happen eventually but will be quite a while
@@TWAMotorsports I’ll be waiting! Much appreciated man
I love how detailed this is. Need to see if I can do this on my 94 k1500.
Thank you
I got that MBEC connector for my '01 to power my compact amp and powered sub. They both have 15a fuses. The amp has a 16ga power wire, the sub has a 14ga. So they don't draw enough to require large power wires, which is why I chose them. The sub was also chosen because I don't want/need massive amounts of bass, and it should small enough to fit in the space where the factory Bose sub was mounted in the '05 center console I picked up. If not, I'll just put it elsewhere. The amp is getting bolted to the console bracket where the Bose amp was.
Sounds like a nice setup
@@TWAMotorsports Hopefully it is. But I discovered yesterday that I have new electrical gremilns. Half the stuff in the interior doesn't work properly or at all, and the security light stays on permanently. So I have to sort that out before I install all of that.
Good luck
I think they look great! Well done as always. Really making this truck one of a kind, but love that it is with GM factory parts.
Thank you
Clean little set up can’t wait intell the power lock conversion😁
Long long long time away
@@TWAMotorsports did that truck alrady come with that carpet or your replaced it
Came with it. I spot cleaned a few areas in a past video
@@TWAMotorsports good Thursday evening TW... awesome content on your green monster truck 👍🇺🇲.. yep I'm just getting home from work and of course tuning in... Them seat's are comfortable too... getting off the beaten path I was watching your video on your black z28 cop car you had.. just because I'm going to have to change out my steering wheel shaft because mine is really wobbly.. remember mine is a 94 Trans am... I have so much to do yet with my project..👍🇺🇲
What's up. Yeah sometimes I wish I could keep them all
I have a 2018 Silverado and it has 2 tone interior. This is the first truck I’ve had with it and actually love it. I think your 2 tone looks awesome.
Thank you
I did a similar swap in my 07 with 03 seats. In 06 they changed the plugs and pin out. Lot more wires on the passenger side for the air bag swich and seat belt sensor. I only have power driver. But I still had to depin the 03 seats and put the 06 07 plug on them. On the driver I just added the t power wire and ground to the truck side.
Nice. Yeah more involved in newer seats
The 2 tone looks great, man.
Thank you
im doing this to my tahoe, thanks for the detailed tips bro
Thank you. Good luck on your swap
The lil sierra coming out siiiiiiiikk
Thank you
Sick job brother I put in leather power and heated seats in my s10 extreme out of a jimmy swapped out the headrest with Grand Prix halo headrest
That's the way to do it. Parts sourcing
Waiting for that power conversion
Long time from now
11:16. They sell kits that have pins and connections and all different types of plugs. I had to do this to a few different things on my Ram
I have several pins
Love your videos on the green truck, I have a 99 Silverado (Blue) and coping yours. Great how to videos very in depth. Thanks keep them coming.
Thank you
It makes the truck unique and your own! I dig it. 👍🏽
Thank you
Clean setup! i will be doing electric seats on my 05 rcsb.
Thank you. Just looks classy.
did you ever look into adding the factory wiring for a full OEM setup? I think on 99-02 you just need the floor harness up the the junction box and the door harnesses
I didn't because no heat would work. The switches go through the body control module
Looks amazing great touch on the colors looks factory with style
Thank you. I like the contrast
I'm like you, if I'm swapping it into my regular cab, I want it to look like it was top trim, all options if it didn't already come that way
Exactly
Looks really good. Definitely like the 2 tone.
Thank you. I like to be different you know lol
I really like the new seats. Good job on the install Travis.
Thank you Keith
Men it looks very good i like the power sets can't wait to see the power window video because i have a 07 silverado classic signal cab that I want to make it into power windows
That will be a while and won't be the same on your year
That’s a really good look
Thank you
You made that look easy looks awsome, I'll have to watch this a few times to get it Lol. Still trying to sell mine to get one a little newer that already has the V8
Thank you. Good luck on selling yours
@@TWAMotorsports Thanks hoping it goes soon. Found a 09 Shortbed not far from me 5.3
Nice
The seats look great in there really nice truck
Thank you
I’d like to see some more driving videos, especially in the green truck. Keep up the good work man.
Thank you. Will do when the weather clears up
Looking forward to it, thank you.
Awesome set up love the look n functionality
Thank you
They look way better and you helped me 🤝👌🏼
Thank you. Glad I could help
Great video!
Thank you
Nice looking seats and good set up
Thank you
WOW...Thanks for the info Travis !
You're welcome. Glad I can help
Nice video Travis I’’ planning on doing this to mine!
Thank you.
waiting for that gem power window and power lock conversion
Long time away
I know this is 3 years late but I want to swap the inside of my 2000 gmc sierra 1500 sle and I’m looking to get new seats. Is there a certain type of seat I need. I just don’t know what to look for. Is there like a size thing I need to look at or something. I don’t really know what to do
These are from a tahoe
Nice work man. The details are spot on.
Thank you
Nice truck sir, thank you for taking the time to do this video. how high do these seats rise up ?
Thank you. Not sure on how high
Dude!!!!! I’m actually about to do this in my reg cab! I got mint 05 Escalade seats in gray out of a truck I bought for the dash stuff(obs) I’m having the headrests done but was stressing the wiring and just said screw adding a bcm or making all that work. Found power and ground and the seatbelt wire and was going to see if they would operate all the functions but it looks like it does! Going to do mine in the coming weeks with a gray Denali console and Denali dash trim. I m tackling a ton of stuff on that truck right now. I won’t be needing my metra double din trim stuff if you need it.
Sounds like an awesome build
@@TWAMotorsports I think so. Kinda what you have going on but I’m going from a 4.8 to a 6.0 and a 4l80. It’s just a matter of getting through the other stuff first. I may have to do some truck videos on here
You need to do videos. The more the better
@@TWAMotorsports I will. I have been posting dog stuff trying to see if the channels are worth having. I don’t have the equipment yet to do quality footage so I have been using my phone. I will give it a try and see what the response is like.
@@TWAMotorsports uploading an overview of my reg cab. Check it out when you get a chance.
If you add 2002 GMC Yukon Denali headrests you will not regret it, they’re soft leather and they support the back of your head alot better than factory headrests
I will check that out
Try to Denali arm rest too. I believe that's what the regency trucks used.
I have seen those.
Looks great! Super clean
Thank you Justin
The seats look great, I've been following the truck since you purchased it. Are you planning on adding power windows and locks to the green truck ? If so i hope you document the process as i am looking to do the same but with a 2002 Silverado that has no power windows but somewhat power locks. Also does you locks work with a key fob or just the key ? thanks and keep up the good work.
I plan on that at some point. Not anytime soon though
Great video! Thanks for explaining it so well.
Thank you. Hopefully it helps
Very nice
Thank you
Beautiful truck. Would you ever consider selling it. I have a 08 LTZ black suburban. It’s really too much room and truck for me. If you are looking for some kind of trade. Love your channel. You are a smart car guy. Always entertaining!!
Thank you. I would for 18k. Not really looking to sell or trade
Cost for the seats, the recover of them plus new heating elements..
..miscellaneous wire and time. Oh.. and there in a single cab. Imo should of done power/lock window conversion. But all isn't lost. They look good and it makes for good content. It'll also help others in doing the same project. Keep it up :)
Thank you. Power windows will be way down the road.
Very helpful video. I’m just suck on wiring in the passenger seat. I saw in the video wires running from the factory harness on the driver seat to the passenger seat? I don’t know if that is correct. If so what wires go to the passenger side? Love the video and the build!
All power is linked together
@@TWAMotorsports what wires link together?
Driver and passenger power and ground
Best mod ever !!!!
Thank you
Not sure if you still check your CZcams so hopefully you do lol I’m in the process of wiring my seats up. I’m looking for a switch for the heated seats… what was your switch rated for? I’m trying to find a 15/off/30 but not having luck. I seen you used one switch per seat. I’m assuming that one switch powers both bottom and upper heating element? Thanks.
Switches came with kit the upholstery guy installed
Great video.
Love the new seats
Thank you
I got confused where you getting power for the passenger seat? Do you join that with the orange on the passenger into 1?
Tied into driver side
Hey man great video I wish I would’ve found this sooner than running the wires my own method either way I have a few questions:
1. Did you source the plug in from the junkyard and just used the pigtail?
2. When running it to the box by the break pedal did you have to install the 25A (Seat)CB that’s located on the side fuse panel by the driver door?
3. Just to clarify you grounded both seats through the pigtail and gave power to the seats through that pigtail for the move function?
I listed all parts in video description. Already fused under the hood. Yes both grounded on chassis or floor. Power to pigtail
Looks great Travis!
Thank you
Came out sick. Nice and clean as always 🤙
Thank you
You did a great job! I’m trying to do the same but can’t find a connector. Do you know where I might find one?
Link in video description to dash plug. Seat end I got from salvage yard
You should do a oem power window conversion on the green gmc
I will a long time from now.
Hello , do you have a link for the pre-wired kit ? The one in description now longer shows up
I don't
Nice video Travis! I just need a little clarification, are the 15 and 30 amp fuses in the fuse box connected to the box under the dash? Or how did you tie in the fuses to the seats? Thanks in advance!
Thank you. Yes the have fuses and go from box under hood to box under dash
TWA Motorsports Oh okay I see. Would you happen to know if the layout for the box in a 99-02 is the same as a 03-06? And if not how can I find which fuse goes to which pin in a 06?
No it is different
Cool. I got electric seats out of an 03 tahoe, to install in my 00 Sierra. No heater, just back/forward/up/down. So just using that plug on the electric box in the kick panel area , wires to the seat, install the fuses in the fuse box under the hood and she is good to go? No need to run any additional fuses relays? You used 14 gauge wire for power? Not too thin? You make it look easy. Thanks.
14 gauge should be good but no relay needed. Should already be fused under hood.
@@TWAMotorsports Cool, thanks alot I appreciate the reponse. I will stay tuned for your projects. Big thumbs up!!!!
Thank you
I'm doing escalade seats in my 02 is the harness the same from a Tahoe. Will this video be the same...?
Should be
It looks better with those seats. My 04 tahoe use to have the middle jump seat and gray cloth seats but I ended up getting the same console you have and got all the seats redone to a beige color leather
Thank you. I like the new look
@@TWAMotorsports have you ever painted the interior plastics on any type of vehicle or do you plan to in the future?
No. When I was in high school I did
I need to repaint the plastics on my 04 tahoe and I want to paint the plastics on my 06 crew cab too
Yeah original color would be all I would ever do
What’s the drop and rims on the truck it looks sick man!
5/7 tahoe wheels. Link in video description
Great videos as always, Instead of just cutting out the plugs and rewiring everything like u did could u not just pull the factory wiring out and transfer to your truck? Idk if that was an option.
Thank you. It isn't quite that easy unfortunately
Thank u for the timely reply, keep the videos coming. I have the exact truck like u have, v6 auto, manual everything lol. This would be a great upgrade as well as v8 swap like u did. Mine was a beater truck so have along way to go but I do have the interior looking nice with console. 1 day at a time lol, do u plan on doing power window and locks conversion?
You're welcome. Good luck on your build. I will do the power window swap but it will be a while
Hey TWA, I’d like to ask a question about what your guy did with the heated part of the seat. I hope you have time and can see this 😅
I dropped them off and he installed a kit. Left wires for me to hook up into original harness
Do you have a purchase link or any information for the kit he used? I put these same seats in my RCSB and I want the heated part to work exactly how you have it with a switch on the side
No. Just used what he gets
TRAVIS NOW WE NEED A OBS WITH NBS SEATS VID THANKS IN ADVANCE 😆
Lol. I actually think i will keep whats in it.
Sourcing some nice quality door panels is going to be a tough one. The build looks great. How is the ride quality? I'm thinking about just doing a 2/4 but I don't want to sacrifice on the ride.
Ride isn't terrible but you can tell its lowered
Nice job. I want to put the 02 seats in my 2005 tahoe, any suggestions/instructions?
Not on plugs configuration
Nice work bro
Thank you
You should do cruise control next.
I would literally never use that
I need to do my 07 Classic because I have manual seats and all I want is to lower the seat, I can't stand sitting up high as I drive.
I get that.
@@TWAMotorsports The seats in it are in perfect condition but I have short legs and a long torso and it sucks, im 6' tall and I have to sacrifice leg room to lay the back rest down. My GMC is a crew cab fully loaded and I have it all the way down and I love it. But for my Chev I need to figure out how to do the wiring and get some nice seats so I can sit comfortably.
How do you use the factory heat elements with aftermarket switch?
Wire them directly
Hey man, not the same thing but can't find anyone who knows. I have an 06 Silverado. The passenger seat has wiring that goes to the harness that also has the passenger presence sensor for the airbags. Both my old seats and new are manual. I wanted to swap over the wiring to the new seat, but there would be no way to swap over the piece going to the seatbelt. Any ideas on how to get around this other than buying different seats?
Have to trace wiring to see how to tie in
What if the spot seo on the junction block is being used ?
Have to find another option
Where did you get the plug for under the dash I’m gunna be doing this same thing in my 02 extended cab
Link in video description
I so hope you do a hydroboost how to video
Probably won't because it stops well without
My 02 sierra had heated seats but were removed at some point . I found heated seats out of an 04-05 tahoe . The plug is different I should just be able to swap plugs is that right
Should be able to
I’m doing this and having issues with hooking up the airbags. Do I have to wire them off of the plug on the new seats to the wires off the old seat connection?
I am still working through that actually. My light is on still
How did you figure out the airbag deal I put seats in mine but my airbag service light is on due to the fact that the plug-ins were different and I have not figured out how in the hell to fix that
Honestly mine is still on. Haven't messed with it.
What year and model is the center console out of?? I just picked one up but it sits lower, which sucks I like the one you got because you can use as an armrest
Its from a 03 to 06 yukon
Dam you absolutely right it doesn't make no sense to have power seat in single cab truck
I agree but added them
Cool trucks bro 👍🏻
Thank you
Did you run that wire down towards the door and up the door seal chanel under that plastic door seal panel?
Yes
I installed seats on my 02 from an 04 Escalade. I wanna do the heat option tho. That's fucking sick!!!
👍
Can you tell me where you found your wiring diagram? I followed your video to the tee and something isn't working. I want to make sure that I have the pins in the correct spot in the connector.
Trial and error but knew the power sides.
Looks awesome what heated seat kit did you use I want to try and put some in my trans am
Some generic but linked several in description
My drls don’t work on my cateye anymore not sure if the relay is what is wrong with it but if I want them in I have to jump them together
Must be fuse or relay
Does anybody know how to order that plug under dash
I put a link in the video description
Where are you finding wiring diagrams at. I'm looking to put 13 escalade seats in an 07 avalanche.
Gm
I know this is an old video so if you dont respond totally understandable but theoretically if I have power seats already and just wanted heat, could i grab heated and power seats from a same year truck along with the switch would it be just a small wiring harness to grab and have it be plug and play in my truck? Its an 01 sierra
Won't be plug and play but could be custom wired
Love that truck I’d buy it off you if I had the money
Thank you
*yu ever get a fart stuck in the seat then crank on the seat heater sheessh that aint no joke!*
Lol
I’m in the process of doing the same thing I’ve really benefited from this video I want to do my heated seat switch like you did can you tell me what pin is for the seat element
I show that in the seat video
Can you drop a link I can’t find it thanks in advanced
Links in video description
Well I must be a fool all I see is links to parts and tools really would like to see how you wired up the switch
The seat move?
Im thinking to swap my manual seats of my single cad sierra to some power seats of a silverado 2016 did you think it will be possible to do that or i need a special kit?
Not sure the bolts will line up
