i cant decide if telling him beforehand how many ingredients went into a dish would make this better or worse... on one hand, we get the sheer delight of seeing him put 9 types of pasta into a pot of boiling water, but on the other hand we'd get to see his mind break as he desperately tries to hold himself back from adding 9 types of pasta to a pot of boiling water because only 5 things went into the dish he tasted. either way, i'd love to see this as a series XD

I think that giving him a range, not a set number would be best. "So this dish has between 4 and 9 ingredients" kind of thing. Still lets his mind mess with him, while still giving him SLIGHT parameters.
or what cooking shows do where they put out a like a dozen ingredients and some are wrong but the right ones are in there

As far as him creating even more heinous of food crimes... While I agree insofar as seeing how he may legitimately end up doing so, *_in this instance_* I definitely have to say that he didn't. *Solely* based on the fact that _his_ dish didn't invoke a gag reflex! lol
(that black bean/chicken noodle soup puree has me legitimately curious about how it tasted, as I could see that being a guac-like [consistency] taco topping 🤔)

This video had me genuinely curious if Josh could pull off a completed dish based on clues left behind like in Crime Scene Kitchen. They could even make it a competition. Josh and Lily vs Nicole and Trevor, and Vi can be the judge.

I can imagine tasting what is essentially sensory overload on a plate would make it difficult to parse out individual ingredients.
I love lily's "This is so good" and Josh's reaction to it. And Josh's ramen cup opening strategy is top tier.

Maybe that was because Brad was used to being the weird one and didn't know how to handle being the normal one; while Chris would just be like "oh this guy is just Brad but worse"

In my country there's a children's story book "Tales of the Doggy and the Pussycat". One of the most beloved stories is "How the Doggy and the Pussycat baked a cake". Their recipe start relatively normal, but goes off the rails when they start adding all of their favorite foods - so sausages, cheese, cabbage, raisins, mice, a goose head...
What I'm trying to say is this video reminds me of that story.

I don't usually cut open Ramen packs with a knife but when I do, I make sure I tear the rest of it off over my pot of boiling noodles to incorporate the Styrofoam bits into my Michelin star dish.
Josh did not recreate the dish in any accurate fashion, but he did make a a post worthy of the board. Or at the very least, a food crime. So this was fun
that was amazing, definitely want to see more of this again!

The Mythical Kitcheneers really is just an awesomely wholesome and naughty bowl of truffle mac and cheese - change my mind.
Josh - Truffle (the strong, chaotic ingredient that when you see it in a dish you know it'll bring in the main character energy; will definitely be too strong for a random unaware patron but when we come for the dish and expect the truffle we wanna consume that truffle aroma and taste in their full glory!)
Lily - Cheddar (at face value seems the run-of-the-mill ingredient, initially gives background character vibes but deserves more recognition especially because they balance out the chaotic ingredient really well and stands their ground with their own power)
Nicole - Pasta eg macaroni (carries the sauce and all the other ingredients together, the vessel of the dish and the true main character masked as the deuteragonist. confident and reputable yet compassionate and reliable)
Trevor - Butter (goes with the flow, and brings that heavy goodness and innocence to the table, but you know once you have them you're gonna be satisfied and saying 'yooo' in a laidback, satisfied manner)
Vee - Salt, pepper, and herbs (a dash of them is always needed but you know we always wanna put more than is prescribed! brings the much needed saltiness, spiciness, and herbaceousness with their personality and quips that pop up in sprinkling doses)
This is a great concept - more episodes, please! :)
