Yeah, Hotel Transylvania is one of those cash-grab franchises that just got worse as the series went on.
Like Hotel Transylvania 1 had a lot more problems than people want you to think, but at least it’s praise is justifiable since there was a Twilight jab and it sometimes tried to be heartfelt. *Nostalgia Critic fanbrats like Sergio Jurado threaten to bash me like someone who’s just jealous of the “it’ just for kids” excuse, and when they try to do that, they are punished forever, unless they can improve upon the error of their ways)*

After the scene at 7:10, they both hide behind the chimney and Mavis somehow manages to look at the sun without actually being hit by the sunlight.
And when the screen pans behind them you can't see the chimney

Quick note about mind controlling through the airplane glass: It's implied the reason it didn't work on Johnny was because his contacts change the way light enters his eyes, thus messing up drac's mind control. Windows wouldn't have that problem.

My main guess for it to end with a song is because Selena Gomez voices Mavis and the creators probably said they'd pay her heaps of money to sing it. So they just added it for fans of the singer. This is the case for most movies that have a singer cast as a voice actor.

Have you? Revelations is quite the read. But putting Revelations aside, Jesus himself confirms what'll be going down when he comes back in the Gospels plenty of times. He even mentioned going out of his way to cut it short, because otherwise there'd be zero survivors.
I get the whole allure of waiting for his return. Judgement is justice, and I do love me some good old fashioned justice. Frankly, I don't think his return will be bloodthirsty enough, but that's what the eternal second death is for. I mean, ultimately yes, he will establish a much better world with less suffering. But if you've read the Bible at all, you'd know that it gets much worse before it gets better... and you'd also know that he out-right *destroys this world* .
People who long for his return most usually long for him to reestablish his rule... which he will do eventually. It just makes me smile, since they kind of skip over the whole "in-between" bit. You-know, the bit where Christians and Jews are universally persecuted. "Yes Lord, come back and establish your rule, but first send all of Earth's government on a mad-quest to hunt me down and kill me. I can't wait!" There's a reason Jesus said he is intentionally delaying his return to maximize those that can be saved. There's also a reason the people in Revelations asking God to hurry up already died once.
Not to say that Christians should fear his return. They shouldn't fear their own death either. It's just funny regardless. I mean, as a masochist, I think being persecuted and massacred sounds like a fun little challenge. How long can you survive, or how brutal can you make your execution be? Peter was crucified upside down, by his request. Pretty sure not all Christians are masochistic.

Actually he wasn't called Adam till the first movie, Mary Shelly referred to him as the monster and in the book the monster names himself "my father's creation". Hence, Frankenstein is the monster and the creator in the same vein as Sr and Jr.

Yeah it really gave itself a unique style when it easily could have just not bothered. Moments like the way Drac walks in the caverns and the way he gets close to other people's faces are some of my favorite stylistic animations, if it's not really visual comedy it definitely still has something to it
I recently rewatched this movie because I remember hating it as a kid. Now that I’m older, I realise that l, yes, the humour is incredibly outdated and there are a wealth of cringeworthy moments, but the movies themselves aren’t “bad.” They’re actually all pretty enjoyable.
This isn’t a critique of the video, it’s just an observation I had. I came to watch this video because of it and really enjoyed it.

Eh, sometimes your allergies to something grows and wanes over time as your body becomes accustomed to it and your cells die off and reproduce. He may have made that diagnoses centuries before that point, and now it's only a gastrointestinal problem (obviously you don't want to try eating something again that you knew at one point made your throat close up, though).
This movie may not be the greatest animated movie ever but this is a Halloween guilty pleasure of mine with a great premise.

This is a late reply but the reason for the force love story is that there was an early draft where Jonathan was a Van Helsing, an enemy of dracula in many versions. So the love story would be like Romeo and Juliet story plot with Mavis, Drac's daughter and Jonathan (Van Helsing). But that idea was dropped from the final movie, but some of the plot points remain.
Luigi You want to talk about forced. Just look at Drac and Erica in The third film.
Let's just face it. It is unacceptavle for people to praise supernatural-based franchises like Twilight and Hotel Transylvania because being very forced is something main about both franchises whether it be the romances or other age/gender stereotypes.
Kieran Stark At least Hotel Transylvania makes up for it by actually giving their characters personalities and being generally fun to watch. Something Twilight constantly fucks up at.
