    Thanks for the review. I got the same and I just noticed that the cpu never goes above 3.6ghz even when running one core cinebench r20 test. I happen to have the 2018 model similar cto i7 loaded with exactly the same as the new one and on single core it even runs at 4.4ghz. Full 4 core runs at around 3.15 vs 3.3 of the 2018 model while on 2.5 cores(5 threads) test it runs as 3.25ghz vs 3.6 of the 2018 model. The same I see also in bootcamp w10 2004 version. With same settings and egpu I see an 5% lower performance. What is your experience so far, do you notice something similar or I just got a bad cpu? In addition I noticed that in macOS I was getting better scores when I run the tests in 10.15.4 newly installed. Hoever, when I restored my backup and had to update to 10.15.5 I fell it got slower. Thanks in advance.

    I just got my MacBook Pro 13 inch iCore5, 16 GB, 1T a few days ago and I have noticed that the battery charge is not holding as advertised. To give an example I have added nothing extra to this Mac with the exception of Microsoft Office 2019. I had a 100% charge and it only lasted about 5.5 hours. This was using for a 30 minute google meet, about an hour of my sons google classroom work. The rest was music and internet searching and a 30 minute show on Disney+. Should the battery be going down that fast. Should I be concerned? I have enabled the new batterie life feature and I have also made my backlight shut off after 5 seconds. This does not seem to be helping. My battery says it is normal when I go to battery health feature.

    I'm waiting for mine right now. I ordered the base MacBook Pro 13 with 4 thunderbolt ports at an apple reseller. Its almost been 2 weeks now and they said that I'll need to wait about 1-2 weeks. What's cool is that I can get it with a small discount :) I'll have it at 1998 € instead of 2058 €.

    Aaron do you think they will eventually make a 15-16'' macbook air anytime in the future? (perhaps similar to the LG gram 17'' or the XPS 17''). I don't need the power of a macbook pro 16'' but 13.3'' is just too small a screen for me personally!

    Do you think i5 vs i7 is major difference? Also do you suggest going for 16 inch instead of 13 inch spec out as they fall in same money zone......I usually do photography but planning to Lear video editing with FCP....thanks

      Yes, I would easily go for the 16 inch due to its dedicated GPU

    Is it worth it to get the same specs of 1TB storage, 10th Gen 17, but in addition, also upgrading the RAM to 32GB. I havent seen much reviews about upgrading the MBP 13" to 32GB RAM. Thank you.

    • @zollotech
      @zollotech  Před 4 lety +1

      If you’re going to edit video with it regularly, then yes get the extra RAM. But if you’re not planning to do any video editing or anything that’s ram intensive then it’s not necessary

    • @kruxigt
      @kruxigt Před 4 lety +1

      It does. I upgraded from a 2016 one (function keys) to the 2020. Also the display bezels seem to be sliiightly smaller on the 2020 one. Which actually means that the 2020 one has slightly lover DPI.

    I've been pursuing music production and am interested in switching to the MacBook Pro because of it. Is the Macbook Pro is powerful enough to process apps like Logic Pro X and Final Cut Pro?

    • @zollotech
      @zollotech  Před 4 lety +2

      I cover Final cut pro exporting in the video. I have the time codes marked in the description so you can jump to that section.

    • @Emcdub3
      @Emcdub3 Před 4 lety

      @@zollotech Yea I saw that section. I guess, specifically, my question is:
      What's the difference between using Final Cut Pro on the Macbook Pro compared to using Premier Pro on a desktop setup (which is what I'm doing now)?

    • @zollotech
      @zollotech  Před 4 lety +2

      @@Emcdub3 Final Cut Pro is generally much smoother when playing video back on the timeline in general. It also exports 4K video much faster than Premiere from what I have seen. If you prefer Premiere though it should work just fine on MacBook, but I would go for the 16-inch in that case with a dedicated GPU.

    watching this on a new gold i3 256gb macbook air! i plug this into my 27" LG usb-c monitor its amazing.. tried a windows gaming laptop thought i wanted windows 10 but it sucked - prefer mac hardware and software experience.. Trackpad macbook, speakers, screen, build, portability, keyboard so dope. I can use this new macbook air in bed easy on my back and be productive with my gaming laptop not possible!

      The MacBooks in this video are as follows. The 2020 MacBook Pro 13-inch is $2199 and the 2019 16-inch is $3899. There are many options though. Go to Apple.com and you can configure them how you would like.
