- This is a fan-made movie. The video was sent to us by one of the family members of a U.S. serviceman a number of years ago. Back then we didn't do anything with it publicly, mainly because there were some 'rights' issues regarding the CD this track came from. Now that we control all the rights to our music once again, I thought I would share it. Memorial Day seemed like the perfect time to do it, especially as the subject matter is the American soldier. I hope you all are as moved by it as I was. Obviously there are politics that many associate with these kinds of images, but I urge all of you to view it for what it is; A memorial to brave men and women who have given their all in the service of their country. It may not be for everyone, but I thought it deserved to be seen.
My older brother introduced me to Cruxshadows. As much as I love ALL of your songs, there is one request that I never want to fulfill. My brother is a Marine, and he wants this song played at his funeral, especially if he is killed in action like our dad was. That is the ONE time that I don't want to hear this song.
I play this at least twice a year. On Memorial day,and the day many of my brothers in arms died.

Listening to this and thinking about my dad. He's 75 years old. His mind still sometimes acts as if he's back in combat. Our soldiers really need access to better mental healthcare.

This was always one of my favorites of yours, and this version most of all. I found this video when I was looking to share with our three year old. My wife and I both teared up instantly. Thank you so much, as a fan who's calling was voiced through this piece, and as a veteran who's many friends made this sacrifice. Thank you for this magnificent tribute to them.

The person who compiled the pictures & the video is my Daughter. Her Husband was in the Army stationed in Iraq & sent back pictures when that she used. One picture is of him & her just before he left. If you watch to the end you will see her name.
