Thank you for this video. Got my Xiegu G90 & DE-19 this week & it works flawlessly thanks to your instructions. Just to add, you now have to select "U-D" mode instead of "USB" so the FT8 audio is routed properly between the computer & Xiegu. I think this was a change with the new 1.79 firmware.
Yes there's now predefined digital modes with the newest firmware.

@onceways I was using an older firmware in the video. Now, simply just set it to mode USB-D for digital filter presets.

I just got my DE-19 today, and it hooked up and worked. I had problems with other devices, West Mountain, Digirig, being unreliable, but so far this device is rock solid!
The only issue I had at the time of the video was I needed to use flrig control as well, then selecting that in the WSJT-X settings vs. choosing the G90 as the radio.
Not sure if that's still the case, there's been many updates since. If anyone has any updates please comment. Thank you WS7PB de W6IWN

Yes, with the new firmware, you don't have to adjust your filters. Just select the appropriate digital mode on the radio. I appreciate you watching. Have fun with it!

Try using Flrig for CAT control and select Flrig as your Radio in WJST-X. I hope that helps. 🙏

Great setup video. I still don't know really the step-by-step, take me by the hand and walk me through exactly how do I use WJST-FT8 to play radio with. The bell and whistles and pretty colors are all well and just great, but where does a complete noob go to get the 411 from, "hit the power switch" to, "Hey you just made your first FT8 contact!" I didn't get that from this video. If it was there and I missed it just tell me and I will go back to that spot on the timeline and learn something new. I hope. 73 and it really is a good video.

where was the info on the driver CH340 that is supposedly required for soundcard use with the DE19? or so Xiegu support told me. Basically they said read the instructions in the manual! @@W6IWN_Radio

I have my G90 setup and connected to the DC-19. Everything works except when WSJT-X triggers the TX, the G90 doesn't actually TX for around 8 more seconds, i.e. there is a big delay, and I also see this when I test PTT. Am I missing a setting in WSJT-X specific to the G90 / DE-19 adapter? Thanks!
Use flrig as your rig control and select flrig as the radio in WJST-X. I hope that helps.

I use flrig for cat control. I tried the G90 settings in WSJT'-X but couldn't get it to work... Select flrig as the radio in WJST-X. I hope that helps!
What do you have the radio's Input and Output settings at?
Aux in 9 and Aux out 15.

@Scott_AI5EF Scott, I hope that helps. This is an older video using the 1.74 firmware, I believe. With the 1.79 firmware, you don't need to adjust the filters. Just select USB-D mode, and the filters are preset preset. 73

Do you have to download a driver ch342 first or does windows do that automatically? The instructions seem to imply you have to do this but I have not seen anyone say you have to do this in advance. Thanks so much.
I didn't have to download the driver with Windows 10. The device was detected automatically. Using it with Linux was more complicated!

Nice video! My DE19 is not recognized by my Win10 PC. I try to install the CH342 driver as per the instructions but with no success. No com port, no new sound car on Device Manager. Any idea?
I don't recall having any issues with the drivers. I did havving to install FLrig and select that as the radio in WJSTx, not the Xiegu G90. Try rebooting and double-checking all of the connections. I hope this helps. If not, shoot me an email.
Still new to the digital side, bought a ce-19 a while back but never followed through with getting it setup... is this different? Or an upgraded version of the ce-19? Haven't found a video where anyone compares them
As far as I know it's the same device. Your radio may have a different firmware though.
This is a digital interface. It does what a digirig does. Or a Signalink plus the blue usb cable. The CE 19 is just a breakout box---it allows diffrent connections but doesn't do anything except connect things. Does not process anything.

I can't get my filters to adjust by hitting function and F L or F H
You probably have a newer firmware version. Just put it in USB-D, mode and the filters are preset for you. Thanks for watching

Seems like with the latest firmware update, we aren't able to change the left and right filters via the function buttion anymore. Has anyone been able to figure out how to access the filters since the update?

@@W6IWN_Radio much appreciated. This was a pain to get going on Mac. Kept getting errors in WSJT-x about the radio config. Here’s what I did for your Mac subscribers. After installing the CH34x MAC driver and finding the USB device ( ls /DEV/tty*) and having that fail with the G90 as the radio in the app, I tried using a diffuser serial port (/dev/case.usbserial-14440 on my MAC). This was the only config that was stable with no errors. I’m off to go get a tent spike for my antenna mount to test the PTT function of the app and see if I can get a successful QSO. Fingers crossed.

In the new firmware you just set the mode to U-D and it automatically sets the filters
Por mi parte ha sido COMPLETAMENTE IMPOSIBLE de configurar en dos ordenadores distintos... un montón de problemas con el COM, con las librerías DLL y con el JTDX y WSJT-X.... Ya lo tengo preparado para su devolución y reembolso... Seguiré haciendo FT-8 con mi Icom IC-7300 que funciona de maravilla! Una pena! Cuando hagan algo MAS FACIL DE CONFIGURAR y que sea PLUG&PLAY de verdad, lo compraré. Menuda BASURA! 73s
