- So we got one of the Honda Gyros working, but that also meant we had to ride it 20 miles to our workshop...
This thing smokes more than British industrial revolution. People all around us were not happy, but damned if we aren't up for a challenge.

If you feel like trying something different I love electric vehicles. I think even if you just borrowed one I think you would be impressed by the Tesla cars. The technology has come a long way.
I was thinking of a route for you all. How about the 15 up to vegas, then the 95 up to reno and then down the 380 to LA. You get to go through a lot of little towns and scenery out there.
Gasoline is a great solvent for cleaning engine parts, however while it might feel anathema, try using Everclear.
Thank me later.
Being nearly 100% ethanol it very easily degreases engine parts, doesn't leave stains (IT doesn't, but keep in mind the grease it just dissolved will be left behind when the ethanol evaporates), doesn't leave a residual smell on everything it touches, and is water soluble so you can just rinse your hands or garage floor if you so desire.
As nearly 100% ethanol, it has the added benefit of evaporating quickly and leaving parts squeaky clean. Keep in mind all the hazards of using gasoline still apply -- flammable, dries out rubber components, etc.; it's just way cleaner and easier to work with!
Tell everyone it's not smoking, it's vaping.
The cops will totally leave us alone if we use this one
@@WorthlessWhips So will the mosquitoes.
Get some Ipone strawberry-scented 2smoke oil for it...
Wonder if that'll mix 2-cycle??? 🤪
Reminds me of a 1,000 mile (1,600km) trip I did on a 50cc Honda Today scooter back in 2010. It took 12 days and went from Brisbane to Melbourne in Australia.
I took the coast roads not the highway. Carried a tent/air mattress/stove and camped along the way.
That scooter only has a 10,000km Odometer, but I wound it around the clock at least 6 times (~65,000km).
Follow your dreams boys! Cheers from Australia!
That’s badass bro I’d love to do something like that
I don't know, those things look pretty badass to me. Probably doesn't feel like that riding them, but I like their design.
Yea they’ve got that floating suspension look to them with the rear of the seat sitting up. Pretty modern looking for being as old as they are. With new paint they’d pretty decent. I’d also probably do as much to the engine as possible to raise that hp up, and it’d be a dope little bike. Of course it’d probably be cheaper at that point to just buy a new bike...
Check out the gyro x. Super cool. Like a sportier version of this.
Did Christmas come early this year? Because that was such a treat watching Winston drive that disability scooter 😂
Lost my shit. So awesome.
disability mobility. dont be a disgusting able body
LMAO those are actually delivery mopeds in Japan 🤣😂😂😂🛵🦼🦼
Awesome! Very funny 😆
Put up the tyre pressures, you'll get to 60km/h. The oiler is probably working looking at the smoke!
Working too well I’d say! Disconnect n premix or work out how to calibrate it...
That’s too much smoke n will carbon up the exhaust n choke it
Gotta go on a diet...lose some weight, gain 2-3 mph.
Expensive, but try that pre-mixed, high-octane, non-ethanol TruFuel gas at Home Depot (by lawnmower/outdoor section).
Over-inflate tires a bit.
Get hi-viz vests + stickers.
How about changing the gear ratio? Maybe sacrifice a bit of acceleration for top speed?
@@MarcRitzMD I think these are CVT but I could be wrong. If so, it's a matter of swapping the roller weights.. easy enough.
he mixed oil in because he didn't trust the oil mixing system, but that system was also working so he was running very rich that shouldn't be a problem the more they get used to these things
I love the new show, guys. You have great personalities for this kind of content, and it's refreshing to get your take on more than just politics
This was the BEST thing I have seen online in a LONG time!! Watching Winston ride that scooter was amazing ❤ I haven't laughed that hard in far to long. I am so looking forward to watching you guys on the trip!
Ah, fond memories of the pre-restriction 50cc machines...
Hysterical fun, but still so slow we survived the numerous off!
(I won't list the damages I've done to myself on larger machines! lol!).
the Yamaha Banshee would like a word sir.
Definitely go on a extreme of road adventure. It will be safer than back roads and far more hilarious. + If you meet other of road enthusiasts it will melt their minds. PLease film reaction
"Disability mobility scooter!"
That is really all it is good for. my elderly aunt would like it.
...and not a penny out of pocket.
@@williamswenson5315 7.5K - 2.3K out of pocket
@@typical6797 Thank you for your reply. While I'm certain you are correct, my comment refers to a medical equipment company ad that used to run at odd hours on television. It featured a smug boomer sitting astride his mobility scooter (supposedly paid for by Medicare) declaiming that he hadn't "paid a penny out of pocket!" It was a rather nauseating example of the "I got mine" mentality that I abhor. W
Fifty years ago, going to work required three buses, even though it wasn't very far. So I bought a used Honda scooter, cutting my travel time from an hour to 15 minutes. The scooter had no trouble going the speed limit on city streets, and driving it was a hoot!
The office I worked in was very staid, so I didn't know what to expect when my boss asked whose helmet was on the coat rack. He took me into his office and showed me numerous pictures of him on his racing bike!
After a year, my finances improved to the point where I could buy a car, so I sold the Honda for the same price as it cost me. What a great experience!
You are SO LUCKY to have access to a garage. Very happy for you guys :D
Was the oil mix to high? To generate that much smoke makes me think it was throwing a bit to much oil into the gas mix.
Yes, Winston added oil to the gas, even though the auto lube system was working.
@@WorthlessWhips I did that once with a riding lawn mower. It looked kinda like I was using some james bond smoke generator gadget.
@@WorthlessWhips I've seen destroyers generate less of a smoke screen.
@@WorthlessWhips copy RX7 enthusiasts... disable the auto lube and run premix only.
Use a synthetic 2 cycle oil that can be mixed 50 or 60 to 1.
I felt so sorry for Winston , all kitted up riding that disaster in the making. Worthless whips need to be painted on these rolling abominations. You have earned that privilege.
rent a u-haul trailer to haul scooters, go to a track put up cones and do barrel racing like the rodeo
Glad to have something good to watch today thanks boys
our pleasure
I love the idea of a cross country trip on the back roads, I also enjoy all your guys videos immensely. An idea you might want to try is installing a front tire with a built in 1000 watt hub motor, a controller, and a 20ah lithium battery like I have on my bike. I know they make them in all sizes, and it may save you a huge hassle during a breakdown, and give you a power boost on demand for faster acceleration and hills. Just an idea, thanks for everything.
If you use one of the high tech synthetic 2-stroke oils you will get virtually no smoke and you can use substantially less of it. One of the Brand's I like is called Onemix. You can find the hitech synthetic 2-stroke oils available at Turf Equipment specialty stores or some marine supply outfits.
That edit was hilarious guys, loved the music and cuts. lol
Thank You Winston and C-Milk
For a Great Video.
Note some roads in Pacific NorthWest close very early to snow. That could impact travel
Had one of these growing up in the early 90's in West MI. It was the def the coolest among our junior high moped gang. Not as fast at the elite80 my friend had but felt like motocross taking corners. Man those were the days.
Used to have a 1979 Kawasaki KZ-750 (2 cylinder), which I loved. Rode it from Dayton, Ohio to Cape Hatteras, N. Carolina and back.
c milk getting a shoutout by pewdiepie , pretty epic :P
Not sure about in JP but I remember a lot of those 50ccs in the UK could be derestricted pretty easily... and the legality in the UK was pretty washy so you could get away with it!! I am unsure of how legal that is over here in the US though... but i do recall a mate telling me they hit 45 on their UX50. Forgot to add, I am insanely jealous and those things are SO COOL!
When I was in my teens I had a Yamaha 50cc scooter and my friend had a 125cc motorcycle that wasn't running so I took the carburetor from that and put it on my Yamaha. Let me tell you it went like a scalded cat. The only issue is the Yamaha had oil injection but the other carburetor did not so I would have had to premix the fuel in the regular tank to keep running it. It was fun
How did u mix the oil when the tank was half empty? And what's the ratio
That probably needs a top-end rebuild badly. A new piston & rings, followed by a good premix with good smokeless synthetic 2-stroke oil... will make a world of difference.
Winston trying to go 50 - like a budget version of the movie "Speed"
If he goes any less than 25km/h the scooter explodes
I love how that thing banks back-and-forth
this is gonna be awesome, I really wanna see these two do a decent trip with the 50cc. its gonna help dispel the myth that only 650cc plus bikes can do treks.
Hahaha all that smoke. Hope you get both scooters working well.
Cost is cheap to bump a little more compression with a new piston and rings (shave head down), cut cylinder to 003 of inch. A LITTLE tight, however it allows heat to transfer easier from piston to cylinder wall and will cool easier. It's a trick I learned from Reno Leoni, (head mechanic for Ducati racing) to keep power and cooling while your holding the throttle wide open climbing a hill.
That's what I like about my home island of Oahu, that if you have a moped etc that can go 35MPH you can go anywhere.
The way serpentza is riding that bike made me laugh for hours 🤣🤣🤣 it looks like a massive child, trying to help the bike along by thrusting, like we did as kids to try and go quicker 🤣🤣🤣🤣 legendary.
Great video. High entertainment value.
Cool, you're still using the crown vic!
old 2stroke.. exhaust is probably full of oil. i used to burn them out.. smoking down the hole neighborhood in the prosess. the oil and soot also clog up the exhaust reducing power a lot. the engines can usually be "adjusted" to go a bit faster. especially up hill. i used ot use a old dentist drill setup to open up the port's. if not cylinder's and pistons can be had to make it go faster. i gues it have the same engine as the Honda PX or something? a big bore kit on that thing trippled the power ;)
Loved this episode
I'm Winston's age and I knew Mighty Max. Guessing it's more a USA vs. South Africa thing to me. :)
OMG seeing Winston driving that Scooter with his proper bike leathers on🤣🤣🤣👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
as others have mentioned, that pre-mix is just rich. I would disable the oil injection and just premix your own. Also, 2 strokes like high octane so maybe throw some race gas in there and enjoy that sweet sweet smell of glory. I run aviation gas in my dirtbikes as it's better than pump gas and cheaper than race gas.
Can't wait to see where this goes! :)
Mix ratio has too much oil. Also, you'll be better off with synthetics that will allow mixing at higher ratios, like 40 of 50 to 1. More power and less smoke. I'd suggest going big bore, but that is more difficult on two strokes, as exhaust and carb tuning are a pain. I have done many big bore kits on Chinese 4 stroke scooters. Lotta bang for the buck with those.
I’ve got a 1982 Honda urban express and I know the pain of that oil injection system but sadly it only goes about 25-30mph
We need to get it to 88MPH....NITROUS!
Thanks for sharing the ridiculous fun.
My first bike was a Kawasaki AR50. Did 35mph too 🤣
The engineering idea to make the rear end oscillate was brilliant . because it allows the riders , to learn into turns ,and yet keep both rear wheels , on the ground . grabbing traction.
🤣🤣🤣 Winston looked like a Hen pecking the dashboard. Now that was Outlandish 🤪
I'm riding the same motorcycle, too. I think 55 kilometers are wonderful by normality. It was cool to lie down by the motorcycle.
Big bore kit. Redwood forest, epic!
Run like Belray racing 2-stroke oil. You can thin it down, less oil than regular and it won't smoke as bad. But still lubricate...
In rhe netherlands 50cc mopeds are quite popular cause you can drive them at 16 (you can drive a car here at 18...) people oftenly tune these 50cc 2 strokes to be capable of 90kmh which is quite fast i think
Love this!
C-Milk is loving the Food in the USA!
His garden vegetables have piss on them, it makes them sweet. So his wife says. / true haha
@@joeblow5178 what?
If you tear trans apart u can use a simple file to under cut the shift dogs if needed instead of new parts or gears. Almost can't imagine such low power for cross country trip. 125cc is stretching it a bit as it is. Now u wanna go 50 cc, maybe you should get an RC jet engine and strap it on the back to get up the hills.
That was very reminiscent of that "Take it to the limit" montage music from the past. LOL
Thanks guy this had me laughing during these crazy time😂
You're welcome my man
Here in Europe we have the Piaggio MP3. It is similar, but the 2 wheels are at the front.
HAHAHA amazing the smoke was great
Awesome!
I think these scooters looks awesome.. The smoking should diminish over time, since its most likely due to oil and gunk in the engine that has to be burned off.. It could also be because it has a too rich mixture of oil to gasoline
I used to rent out Honda Nifty 50 scooters. They lose heaps of power when the exhaust port blocks up with carbon. I used to undo the exhaust from the cylinder head and scrape out the carbon build-up with a screwdriver. Your scooters probably have the same engines. Have a look, I could be beneficial.
You should do a trip to Miami Florida
As well as it looks like the oil injection system is working because if you even pre Max your oil a little bit with an oil injection system they tend to smoke super crazy so you probably should have drained the 2 stroke tank for the oil injection system so that way you weren't feeding into much to stroke oil and by the way running rich on 2 stroke well in this case actually gave you better performance so your probly going to be looking more at a speed of 28 to 30 miles an hour instead of 34 miles an hour once you are on the proper oil Mix.
As a person who dailys scooters in Richmond, Virginia, I can say it’s possible but not always fun
I've watched this 5 times and every time laugh at the scene of smoking out the road with backed up traffic.
Riding mopeds in the UK is pretty much par for the course. I once owned a Honda C50 (unrestricted) max speed was 50mph down hill average 30 mph. My mega Journey was travelling 250 miles from Bognor Regis upto Merseyside. It took two days and I had a sore bum at the end of it. Petrol consumption was great 125 mpg. The only sad part was that the engine died 15 miles from home on the return journey. I had it transported home on a car transporter and the whole street cam eout to watch as it was unloaded. Embarrassment factor! The condensor had failed, a £2.00 piece of kit. If I had had a fly puller I could have fixed it myself.
Anyway good luck on your trip whether you end up going.
2 strokes normally only smoke a tiny amount. Use 40:1 oil ratio. It looks like the mix is 20:1 or something.
More like 1:1
@@WorthlessWhips What I think could be happening is the auto lube is adding oil into the pre mix fuel, meaning you've got double the oil. But you probably already emptied the auto lube oil tank anyway.
Gyros are the coolest scooters. You can drift them in the wet on a slope.
That's a lot of requirements
@@WorthlessWhips maybe not in california
It can't be normal for it to smoke that much right? You showed clips of these things in Japan and they weren't farting out smokescreens. Curious to see how that gets fixed. Awesome episode!
think it be cool if both your wifes got scooters and did a similar type trip as well :D
We have some 50cc mopeds here in the South. They do not smoke.
Did you check the weight rollers? You may be able to make it a bit faster. My bike was barely doing 50 kmh, but the rollers were in really bad condition. After changing them, it can go over 60 kmh..
COOL BIKES BOYS ! You love to see it
Winston looks like a kid in a candy store playing with those engines!
This was cool!!!!!
Go speed racer Go speed racer Go speed racer gooooo!😂👏🏾👏🏾👍🏾😎👍🏾
Guys you should put up some cones in a parking lot and have a little scooter autocross event with some knee dragging action!
On two stroke bikes, exhaust was usually two part assembly so it can be cleaned from all that oil buildup, but... Older models didn't.
I had MZ 250, factory instruction on cleaning the exhaust was, drive at max speed so it all burns out. How do I know?
During one late night drive I had fire belching out of that thing, but the next day it started right away. Googled the shizz out so I could find out what in the hell happened.
In short, if it still runs it's normal. Enjoy your 50 kph monster.
Do a 140cc 4stroke swap like they do on 70cc atc you could go like 50mph
Woohooowhoop I like this style of scoopy 😅😅😅but the smoke Omg 😂😂😂
After re=watching this I have discovered the reason it did not go faster was because Winston did not scrunch far enough down and lean into the aerodynamics. Still laughing my a... off. Maybe a pizza delivery competition? A spoof on travel docs with a picture of the two of you and the scooters on a mesa at Sunset? Set up a competition between yourselves and neighbors with riding lawnmowers? Put a dry ice compartment on top engine comp. and deliver kid's ice cream? Paint US Postal Emblems on sides and a logo, "Same day service."? Set up your own taco delivery business? A photo of Winston racing home leaning into it has to go on merch or something. Put that on a T-shirt and sign me up.
I drove a 50cc scooter from Amsterdam to Kaliningrad and back, about a 3000 miles roundtrip in 2 weeks. If I can do it, so can you! Good luck!
That's absolutely insane
Oh, hells yeah! How did I miss this one? 2-strokin' it, Baby! Throw a pipe on it!
I had a 50cc scooter a few years ago in a small town outside Boston and even then i felt like i was gonna die nearly everytime i rode it
Maaaan!!! You can see the effects of the junk/fast food in the US LMAO you guys got “heavy...”😂😂😂in Asia everything about food is in small portions🤣
I’m loving the green screen
Hell yea up the three wheelers. I just got my self a 1984 trizinger .
Oil mix is of spec, used to ride wartburg(2 stroke east german masterpice) 15 to 1 is the mix u r seeking
I'd love one of these. There are some on eBay U.K. and one is a 4 stroke
As I was a Honda and Suzuki mechanic, I believe they did release it here. It would be pretty old though
It's like Akira but you can only go 32 miles per hour
They nothing wrong with the moped it serves a certain purpose and that what bike ment for
nice little 125cc 4 stroke would be nice in those things!
Well your oiling system works... you premixed and then your oil system added more on top. Likely the cause of all that smoke.
Anyone know where to find a clutch for a 1985 model? been restoring mine for awhile and the clutch is slipping now that I got it running.
that music really made me feel like in 5 star restaurant
Guys check out the TAT. The trans America Trail. Should be good for the scooters tour in "some places"
This reminds me of Top Gear episode where Jeremy Clarkson drives the smallest car. 🤣
