I'm glad you had such good conditions. I went 2 years ago for 2 weeks with my wife and we did not have good luck. In two weeks, we only had two kite days, one of which I had to foil. Foiling is not great there because of all the reef. I do not want to sound like I am complaining, but here are my pros and cons to kiting there:
Pros:
- Not crowded
- Super beautiful water, beach, and town
- Affordable town
Cons:
- No accommodations at the spot. You will need a car or moto if you stay in town.
- Inconsistent wind. It died on me while foiling and I had to swim back, over the downwind reef. Not fun. The wind lasted only 15-20 minutes
- Spot is small so with more than 10 kites plus lessons being given, I could see it being very crowded.
We much prefer Cabarete for the consistent wind all afternoon, good community vibes, and almost as beautiful water. Cheers.

Thank you for your informative video. I spent 1 week in Las Terrenas and took kite lessons in Portillo. It was a better place to learn than Cabarete.

@@kitesurfingdestroyedmylife I'm ready to go again and continue my progression. I was able to get riding in both directions but don't consider myself an independent kiter yet. Do you have suggestions for other warm water destinations you've experienced? Thank you.

@@barrymonteiro8893 best to go again as soon as possible, so now the season is still on in LT. another destination would be Brazil. Aaaand then, we're organizing a kite camp in Peru for the New Year's Eve, join us! Just the water isn't as warm as in LT ;)

Yeah, it's a bit challenging there for foiling because of the reef... I think Cabaret would be better for it

Te zminy kierunkow wiatru, rano ochlodzone powietrze z nad ladu jest zasysane przech cieplejsze powietrze nad woda, dlatego jest offshore a popoludniu lad sie nagrzewa i wtedy powietrze cieple powietrze nad ladem sie unosi i zasysa chlodniejsze powietrze z nad wody :)
