      1070
      Ect
      A non bang for the buck would include a 2080ti as that crap is an overpriced gimmick at the moment
      Another example would be £300 for 32GB of ram as that is £100 more expensive than a comparable kit

      @@azumag4432 You don't seem to understand what "bang for the buck" means. It doesn't mean cheap. It means the most value for the money spent.
      1000 cans of corn for $5 is a great bang for your buck. 1 can of corn for 1 lobster for $5 is a bang for your buck.

I live in Europe and wanted to buy coilover suspension for my car for 300 USD, that was until I noticed the shipping would've cost me another 260 USD. Like what?? Do they want to hand deliver the package or something? Even shipping a phone to EU would typically cost anywhere from 60 to 120 USD. This is stupid. During my 30 odd purcases from e-bay 29 of them were posted from China for free. On a single occasion I had to pay 3 USD for postage and that's it so far. US postage is stupid.

    When you play Rocket League that gives me the best idea of what you have because I play Rocket League (and literally nothing else) pretty much all the time and being able to tell if what you bought can run RL at specified settings tells me that I can also buy this stuff and know how the experience will be.

    Hey Linus. Great video. I am rocking an Ebay build myself. It is OLD and i am already doing upgrade research/pricing. (Ebay Build Basics- i7 3770k, Asus P8Z77-V-LK, 32 GB 1866 Corsair Vengeance, GeForce Windforce 3GB 1060, DIYPC 3 RGB fan side glass case...plus more) ,While it can be a chance buying anything ONLINE let alone Ebay, I can say it is usually pretty straight forward sales. I even got factory warranty on a gforce 9 series once. Yea, my build is at end life cyce for upgrades, But still runs all modern games at meduim to high with 60 or more FPS. This beast of a build may be old, but ALIVE running strong, and still kicking.
    I too sell on ebay. I have for may years now with a seller rating of 98.7 % which is awesome considering how many sales I have logged (i will share the reasons for under 100% in my tips below-(section 2b).....Allow me to share some key....KEY shopping tips.
    1. Set search results to show at 200 per page. Makes looking around ALOT easier.
    2. ALWAYS CHECK - Price Low to High, Buy it Now, Free Shipping, US SELLER only ( YES, may pay more but A LOT faster shipping and EASIER returns if ever needed.) You should have parts within 2 to 5 days if done correctly.
    2a. BEFORE YOU BUY look at estimated delivery date, if it shows 2 or more weeks from anywhere on U.S. soil....it is a scam from overseas that has grown 100 fold over the last few years now. An overseas seller will set a listing as U.S. seller, then toss on boat to cross ocean next day.
    2b. BEFORE YOU BUY, look at sellers reputation. They can NOT DELETE bad reviews, only THE PERSON who wrote it can (even Ebay will not do it for a seller)...On Ebay the reviews never lie...BUT....if you see 20 great reviews, and one or 2 bad it is OK! Prolly bad hardware, box drops in shipping, or buyer that did not know exactly what to do before trying to build a PC.
    3. If you see weird spelling in an item's description be wary of an overseas seller.
    4. IF EVER IN DOUBT, UTILIZE THE MESSAGE SYSTEM!!!! Solid sellers will respond and answer ANY question(s) you have.
    I hope this helps someone out there. Good luck on the next Ebay build my fellow gamers. I hope to see you in a launch lobby soon.

    • @AlpakaWhacker
      @AlpakaWhacker Před 5 lety +7

      I mean.... that sorta makes sense considering that people/companies selling on ebay need to pay upto 10% in ebay fees plus upto 4% on PayPal fees. Plus the SSD wasn't even bought used from some random seller, it was new from a genuine company that was selling on ebay. If that company had their own website, chances are the SSD would have been cheaper buying direct from the companies site rather than through ebay.
