We live in a sad and confusing time. The loss of faith is incredible. The change in the teachings and practices of the church are very difficult to understand. We are told to submit to teachings and doctrines that seem absurd. As said at La Salette “ Rome will loose the faith”. We are in difficult times. I don’t like to see into the future… but it don’t look good.

Drug abuse of all kinds everywhere, now even right in our faces with legal THC, more than 30% of adult Americans on some form of antidepressants, anxiety, stress, broken relationships, anger, bitterness, unhealthy pride, belief in "I'm my own god" ... there is NOTHING that the current culture can point to and say "See how great things are now that we have loosed ourselves from the yolk of religion". But like the person who doesn't want to go to the dentist as bad as that ache may be, some refuse the solution for fear of the pain of change... even as the tooth turns black, the infection spreads and now the loss of the jaw is at hand. Why these comedians? Because they’re from the extreme left. Plain and simple. They’re on the same team as Bergoglio.

Laughing "AT" within comedy, in virtually all cases implies a mistake, mistep, error, misunderstanding, something clumsy or foolish, resulting in the reason for the comedy element. None of this is a reflection of our God. It's not like we live in a world where comedians have too much reverence and respect for God and the Church and the Pope is trying to ease the tension. This is a comedy party already out of control, it's after midnight and the Pope is offering to now "release the Kraken!" to comedians creative energies. Guess what... the church will DEFINITELY get what it has asked for.
We do have the freedom to express frustration, anger, confusion but with the a goal of eventual understanding (ie. Book of Job). When is our Pope going to demand more reverence? More honoring the Father? More serious devotion to the sacraments? Why are the documents seeming to aim only in one direction... loosening the frame, knocking down gates, scratching out rules? Jesus asked more, not less of the disciples, to strive for the "narrow gate".

Thank you for commenting on this, I am deeply concerned , I thought perhaps these comedians will be converted. Yet still my heart is full of sadness because in my humanness, I feel these comedians are in opposition to the church and her teachings. I am trying not to judge, and wonder am I being judgmental or is it discernment ?
No, you are not judging him, he does everything right in front of people and we do believe our eyes and ears, it's discernment because Jesus does not want anyone, especially good Catholics to follow anything against the true teaching of the church. Our souls are at stake, and many have accepted same sex blessings, and the terrible going on in some Catholic Churches. That is how quickly people fall for the dark side, it's so much easier to be on the side of the devil, always has been.

There is one funny comedian that is not the bad guy discussed, and his name is Nate Bargatze. He’s very funny. He is not vulgar like the other ones. The pope is just old and I think part of his problem is translation and also when you get old sometimes you say things that you would never have said when you were young. Maybe he’s forgetting.

I parted ways, painfully, with the Church of Rome 35 years ago. But I could never have imagined what a shameful clownshow it would become. I never could have imagined what a shameful clownshow all of Western civilization has become.
The Church is guided and protected by The Holy Spirit, no matter what it looks like. This is the promise of our Lord. If that promise was false, then the entire faith goes with it. The reality is that anything that is false will fall away from it and any that is true shall remain, irrespective of man’s attempts to enforce his own will. The Church will stand for Truth or it will stand for nonsense or ashes. The former is the reality for Protestants and the latter is the unfortunate case for the Orthodoxy.
Ultimately the decision is yours to make for better or worse, but separation from The Catholic Church is not a wise decision. I’d recommend you consider returning for your own sake. It is The Vanguard of the Kingdom of Heaven and no enemy shall prevail against it, no matter what ground he stands upon.
