There was a retreat director from a men's retreat who used the word SAD to describe how the devil works: Seduction - Hey, God will understand, go ahead... Accusation: Look at what you did! You're worthless and weak! ... Dispair - You'll always fall, why try, you'll just fall again. And that is where Christ comes, as to the Prodigal Son... welcoming us back if we just trust in His mercy and repent and turn back towards Him and the truth of the Gospel.

I like how Dan referred to the film, 'Nefarious.'
The scene where Nefarious says to the Atheist, "You're losing." Atheist says, "I didn't know there was a war." Nefarious says, "That's why you're losing."
Great excerpt to demonstrate how demons project their intentions in plain sight.
We can see Dan has a military background. Awesome. We need this b/c we ARE the Church Militant at battle with evil 24/7.

There’s suffering involved in growing closer to God through Jesus, and that positive challenge, and then there’s the suffering of regret in sin. Neither the world nor God appreciate sinfulness, but God is at least merciful, whereas the world will throw you out like an aborted baby.

Yeah, that's *very* dangerous, but all that is is temptation, and is to be ignored- as that's the only option we'd ever have regarding those kinds of creatures: cancel any contact with them, no matter the ability.

For Jesus Christ sin was factual (universal knowledge or information based on real occurrences) and objective (existing independent of or external to the mind; actual or real). For his malign antagonists sin is subjective (taking place in a person's mind rather than the external world re: personal beliefs, experience, understanding, and feelings) and illusionary (erroneous perception of reality re: deceived by a subjective false perceptions & beliefs). AKA sin is in the eye of the beholder.

Sin isn't objective, but it depends who you are. If a doctor performs surgery, he gets a new car. If I perform the same surgery I go to prison for life.
