I looked up the words testes and testis. Testes is the plural of testis, so their meanings are the same, and are unrelated to testimony and testimonial. Perhaps Jesse should check on this himself. Also, I have often shared my own conversion/reversion experiences, but it was to show how amazing God's grace is, and to hopefully encourage others in their own spiritual battles. Jesus said to "pray to the Father in secret," but He also said to "let your light shine for others to see." So we should all be discreet about what we say and do, but we're not all called to the monastic way of life. Read St. Augustine's "Confessions," and St. Teresa of Avila's "Life."

God tells us that when we give, we receive, but what do we receive? God has called us to seek Him in everything. We have been called to follow in His footsteps and to follow His example. What was one of the greatest things God did? He gave. He gave us life, gave us His only Son, He gave us everything we've ever known and ever will; so why do we sometimes struggle to follow his example? 1. Deuteronomy 15:10 You shall surely give to him, and your heart should not be grieved when you give to him, because for this thing the Lord your God will bless you in all your works and in all to which you put your hand. This is a great scripture to start with because it is not only a message directly from God, it explains why it is so important to give. God is aware that people "grieve" sometimes when they have to share in their wealth (in whatever circumstances, if I may add here..) but He has promised to bless you and "your works," meaning He will bless what you do for others and yourself. 2. Deuteronomy 16:17 Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the Lord your God which He has given you. If you struggle with wanting to give but are financially unable to do so, don't worry! There are many ways to help others! Maybe you see the same homeless man on your way home from work or at your bus stop. Your paycheck barely pays for your bare necessities and you really couldn't spare a single dollar. But God has gifted you with a kind heart. 3. Acts 20:35 I have shown you in every way, by laboring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.' In this scripture, Paul is reminding us that God has asked us to help those in need. He even reminds us of God's words that appear in Deuteronomy! In case you missed the first verse on this list, GOD BLESSES THOSE WHO BLESS OTHERS!! 4. Ecclesiastes 5:10 He who loves silver will not be satisfied with silver;Nor he who loves abundance, with increase.This also is vanity. Okay, so this isn't exactly a verse that tells you to give. It doesn't mention blessings, God's Will, or offer instructions on how to give of yourself. Instead, it focuses on an important part of learning to give. To sum it up I would say that money is not everything. 5. Matthew 6:24 No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon. Sound familiar? That's right, there's a reason the Bible says the same thing over and over: People don't listen the first time! The bottom line is that you can only have your eyes set on one goal. Do you want that goal to be God, who has not only granted you life but also eternity -or money? Something that is constantly in flux between maturation and depreciation. Something people have killed and died for, something that offers the promise of temporary happiness? Remember, helping people is what Jesus was all about. Especially, those who were bad. LET GOD BE GOD. I respectfully disagree. A testimonial done properly, only glorifies God and what He did in his or her life. Even one of the hosts of the show has given testimonials. We always have targets on our backs, even in the monasteries. I like testimonies because they give hope to the despairing. However, some are driven by pride and deceit. So we shouldn't group all testimonials together.

My experience is that churches that provide the Latin Mass are full of children, teenagers an d young adults, to the extent of perhaps half of the congregation. So maybe the best thing that parents can do is to take their children to a Latin Mass.
