I love Clara’s arc! She becomes so much like the Doctor, and it ends up being her downfall. The Doctor can be reckless, he’s a time lord, but Clara’s only human. It’s so beautifully tragic.
"I let Clara Oswald get inside my head. Trust me, she doesn't leave." Twelve and Clara were perfect. Inevitable and impossible.
No other TARDIS Team will ever compare to Doctor/Clara for me, especially Twelve/Clara. What an arc! What a relationship! Lovely video!

Is the 12/Clara arc the best era of Doctor Who? I don't know.
But IMHO, Capaldi is the best actor we've ever had in the role, and Jenna Coleman is the best actor we've had as a companion.
So even when/if the writing was subpar, you always knew you were going to get award-worthy acting week in and week out. What a time.
Favourite companion
It's true, I miss these two😥😔😕 After they left, we never got to see writing, history, evolution, dynamics so deep and well done by them. In fact it was very authentic and unique. This is not something you see very often in series and even less so in Doctor Who. which is why I ended up loving their interaction.😊😉😊 by Twelve and Clara

Not enough hangers on (family/friends) outside of the Doctor. So that made her thinly drawn. That was one of the main complaints I remember reading about her back in the day. I just think she was too pretty and haters gotta hate. Her story was never really grounded in normalcy. Clara was the companion that grew to be the most like the Doctor....and died for it. He just didn't let her death stop her existence.

I loved Clara so much it hurt to see her get murdered needlessly by that damned raven. The Doctor bringing her back was just needless hope. Technically, she's still travelling time and space with Ashild'r by the time of Ncuti Gatwa's Doctor. However, she's still canonically dead as shown in Twice Upon a Time. I would've just given Clara an ending where she simply left the Doctor to join Kate Stewart at UNIT. That would allow us to see her again and have her eventually realize that becoming like the Doctor was a stupid desire.
