I am a Filipino. It is unchristian to celebrate jubilation on what's happening in certain parts of china caused by nature. But sometimes I feel an inner joy because only nature can avenge our angst caused by the CCG to our fisherfolks and small vessels in WPS

Nah, ain't no god. Lol. It is becoz of their own doing, becoz they chopped all their forests down to build cities over em. Now they have no buffers or anything as trees would usually do in nature to keep the weather in check n be distributed n dissipated evenly n so now there's nothing to control the weather.

A person can disagree with their government, but they shouldn’t have to lose their lives because of the way the government operates. Citizens of dictatorships and communist governments may be unfamiliar with what we in the West would consider a fundamental human right.

Lightning will usually hit the highest point to the ground. It's why all tall buildings "should" have lightning rods. So lightning hitting the tallest building around is quite normal.

Here in the south region of Brazil we're currently facing strong and persistent rains for 4 consecutive days. Lots of rivers are way above warning level, and a lot of cities are flooded. Seems to be a world problem.

I can identify with some of their misery. In 2007 we had a major ice storm that knocked out power in some areas for three weeks or more. In 2008 we had a 500 year flood, destroyed over 4000 homes and 800 businesses. No government help to cause that flood, just too much rain. In 2019 we had a derecho with 140 MPH winds, destroyed half the city's trees and took down power lines everywhere.
Just remember that once in 500 years is just a statistical average or something. Odds are you are not getting those 2 years in row but it is not impossible.

From my scientific guess (I am not smart in geology), remembered the drought happen in China a little over the month ago? Probably those water came from that not sure how the cloud hold it that long

this is the way abrupt climate collapse hits China. In America we lost 90% of our wheat crop and 50-60% of corn and soy along with 50-60% of fruits as well from a major drought across the country. In China instead they get this crazy flooding and monsoons. In India the monsoons are way off. Human can't compensate for this loss of food. The economic impact will cause some kind of contagion long before be lose arctic ice in 2 years or so.

Banks will be reluctant to give a mortgage for 15 or 30 years because the property may be under water. Selling properties to average buyers will become impossible in the future as banks and mortgage companies stop making loans for these properties. Coastal areas are a high risk for insurance and extreme weather like hurricanes. People will have to self insure and take the risk of loss. Condo associations are losing their insurance and if they find a new higher cost policy they will be passing on the higher costs to association members. Flooded cars from hurricanes were filling the salvage lots. Insurance companies will raise rates and pass on the costs and risks to policy holders next year. Coastal properties will be confined to wealthy individuals that can buy properties with cash and self insure for losses from hurricanes or rising sea levels.
