I hope you all enjoy this video where I break down the draw stroke into .50 second metrics to see what we can accomplish within our economy of motion efficiently & consistently.

For set up you will need a par-timer & to put .20 as the par time. That’s it. Now when the par-timer starts to BEEP you start your draw. When it stops, you stop, freeze, & evaluate what you can do sooner rather than faster.

At 07:12 mark when Rick fumbles his draw (as he admits shortly there after), is a moment that makes any shooter happy because it lets them know that even the best of practitioners mess up from time to time while perfecting their craft. I cannot wait to take this class next year.

optics on pistols are not practical for a large amount of cops cuz they could get stuck in the holster among other issues like weather

This drill seems super coherent to me.
Shooters always want to go too fast in this phase of drawing but too many unnecessary movements are induced.
Doing it in phases is effective.
