D.O.P.E. DRILL V2 | Drills
Rick introduces the latest version of the D.O.P.E. Drill - This time shooting for Hit Factor.
D. O. P. E. D R I L L.
D. O. P. E.
(Data On Previous Engagement) Drill is a progressive diagnostic accountability drill, encompassing all fundamentals under individually timed standards.
-
Execution & Engagement Distances
Begin with a clean target, write in all variable data before starting. Then at distances that are relatable to your operational environment, engage this target with 5 rounds, from each yard line, from an auditory signal as fast as you can. Then track accountability with a designator. Collect first rounds, splits between each round, and overall time fired.
-
Example:
- 5m /
-10m X
-15m ◼️
-20m ⚫️
-25m 🔺
A-Zone Hits worth 5 points, C-Zone Hits worth 3 points, D-Zone Hits worth 1 point. Any misses or hits in the black part of the AHT target is a penalty of -10 points. Looking for 100% Accountability and scored with Hit Factor. Total Score divided by Total Time. GOAL to shoot for on Rifle 20+ Hit Factor Pistol 10+ Hit Factor

Wow! Shit ton of haters on here. How about, if you dont like what he's sayin, move on? Do y'all have to show how "cool" you are? We get it, you are all so high speed nobody can compete.

+1 to the ZR Tactical Long Stroke. HUGE difference on my Polymer 5. Everything else Paul showed is more "personal feel" but the Long Stroke is almost required IMO.

Thanks for this video didn’t know how to do this until I saw this video, being a newbie in competition shooting I am definitely doing the incorrect way with a lot of tension which I did not know I was doing until I saw your video, thank you! I am wondering if you if you have any tips for me on how to at least be competitive with my 3.5 length 2011 pistol which is my only one, thanks again!

Amazing information. Any justification in carrying the first round as ball ammo to pierce the windshield if usual ammo is hollow point?

Is that an osight on that gun? If so how do you like it? Been debating on getting one for my backup, primary gun has the rmr but want something cheaper for a gun that rides in my backpack.

@Achilles Heel Tactical - Great video 😊I set my SF Match up like @Nick Young, @Joel Park... ZR Long Stroke /15lb, 507 Comp, Sprinco trigger kit, Lok Bogie palm swell. Very similar to yours. I did install the safety plunger spring. I gave me a similar pull weight to yours without having to "stretch" the trigger return spring. 😉 and the factory Walther Plate "snaps" in, it's very nice. 🙂

When I put the Dynamic Performance trigger on my pdp I took the spring from my stock PDT and replaced it with the one that comes with the DPT and it did the trick, went from a 4.5 LB pull to a sub 3 LB pull

I would never roll my clavicle to a position where it solely takes the pressure of multiple shots, no less train to do that primarily. The collarbone breaks the easiest, especially compared to the pocket of meat between your chest and front delt.

  • @giarcoftheunderworld

LOL! Damn the hate is everywhere! I learned a lot from this guy. The technique he teaches has helped my grip and accuracy.

  • @ltwilliamsjonathanrussell8941

The first M16 I was introduced to me was in basic training in 1989 several changes to how people shoot those things I have not found one technique to be ultimately more Superior than another as far as shoulder pocket no shoulder pocket it all depends on basically the situation where you're shooting you cannot blueprint that s*** like that I may need to put that rifle in the shoulder in my pocket if it's windy if I'm in an uncomfortable position if I'm unsupported Etc you have no clue what shooting position I'm going to take in any given situation I may just revert back to the old weaver just because I'm in that situation and that's where it fits but when you start doing this cookie cutter s*** and then you start teaching it most of these students going to the shooting schools have one thing in common they're easy to kill
