This has arguably been one of the best years of football we've had in a very long time. Every week, starting from the season opener, there was a game dubbed as game of the year. And that continued through the playoffs with an amazing divisional round and championship games. Now the Bengals and Rams are in the SB and I think most people are happy about that (happy that it isn't Tom Brady or Mahomes at the very least).
Don't know about the season because I boycott'ed the NFL for their PC'ness but the playoffs are definitely the best I have ever seen. Hope the Superbowl is as well! I'm eager to see how many lemmings keep their masks on the entire game or if politicians will reconsider as County Supervisor Katheryn Barger is requesting. In reality, people should be able to say they are holding their breath just as Mayor Eric Garcetti stated he did! LOL!

Hopefully they can win one more. It won't always happen like this - let's not forget how close they were to losing the regular season game against the Chiefs, and if that had happened they likely wouldn't have even made the playoffs. But it does feel like this is a team that is much better at winning loseable games than they are at losing winnable games, which is something Bengals fans haven't been able to say in a long time.

What is funny is people think a 503 million dollar paid QB does not know how to throw the ball away in the playoffs in the bottom of the 4th. This game gets more and more impressive with every year that follows it.
These Bengals remind me of my 2007 Giants. A 10-6 regular season, so had to go on the road. Beat the top seeds with the best offenses - Bucs, Dallas, and Green Bay. Even had the overtime game in the NFC Championship and won with a field goal. Giants had to beat a much tougher, undefeated 16-0 Patriots though whereas the Bengals face a tough but easier Rams. It really depends on which Matt Stafford shows up on Super Bowl Sunday because he can have stinkers.
That is hands down my favorite superbowl and I’m not even a giants fan. Saw it as a kid, blew my mind, modern day David vs goliath

Bengals defense was incredible in the second half. The coverage was amazing. And even more impressive was the discipline of the d lineman. They contained Mahomes scrambling and ultimately made some huge plays down the stretch.

As a Bills fan, I'm happy the Bengals avenged us. Plus they really deserve it from not having won a playoff game let alone going to the play offs in over 34 years. I'll be rooting for them to win the superbowl :)

As a Steelers fan, I've never really hated the Bengals. I hated Vontaze Burfict for what he did to AB, but I had no problem with the Bengals. It was fun calling them the "Bungles" over the years, but good on them finally figuring it out and repping the AFC North!
Every now and then, a team takes their number 1 overall pick and actually produces.
They better savor it while it lasts; Burrow is gonna be asking for Mahommes money soon enough. Ben never asked for nearly as much, but it was still tough keeping those pro bowlers on offense and defense around.

They said they didn't even adjust anything. Mahomes just got yippy again like he did at midseason, he was scared to pull the trigger. The Chiefs needed to run the ball more, Bengals never stopped the run but the Chiefs went away from it. Andy Reid is terrible with a lead, props to the Bengals but the Chiefs lost the game more than they won it.
Notice how the 2021-2022 season of the AFC Chanpionship Bengals win by three points, and in the 2022-2023 season it happened again but Chiefs won by three 😳

I'm 42, lived in southwest Ohio my whole life, been a Bengals fan, my grandfather was a Bengals fan, and after that win, thinking about how happy my grandfather would have been to see this game, I had tears, my wife was shocked as I am usually stoic, but this got me right in the feels...
And now going up against a team that traded up, and shelled out so much money, picked up OBJ when he wasn't happy in Cleveland , a team that traded away first round draft picks for years to get to this game.
I really hope the Bengals will. The superbowl with 58 mill left in there cap space, that would be so poetic.

The way I see it, Mahomes was trying to channel the Backyard Offense, but Cincinnati implemented a curfew. Mahomes tried to break the curfew, and instead he nearly fumbled the game away.
I agree as a Bengals fan. We were bailed out by some of the coaching down the stretch. Though Bengals flat out made it happen in OT.
Mahomes has tainted his legacy with that 2nd half and OT.

The Bengals PI penalty just before the half helped them win the game. In my 50 years of watching the NFL, this was by far the wildest and best 2 weekends of playoff football ever.
