Awesome. Also thanks for your videos it has convinced me to get men of war assault squad 2 and then men of war later on once I get enough $. Even though I have never played this before and u technically should play men of war first, I really want assault squad 2 and it literally looks so awesome from watching your guys' vids that I'm convinced to get assault squad 2 first.
Just buy MoW2 dont get MoW1 imho :)

Hey sherman, im having problems with getting sir hinkel's mod downloaded. I cant use the steam version, it doesnt work, but when i download the mediafire link,. it tells me files in it are corrupted

I'm probably missing something really obvious as I'm new to the game but how do you resupply from supply trucks? I just keep putting men in and out of the truck...
you press "X" and it changes into a little eye- now you can see the inventory :)

11:16 this is why I form multiple defensive lines while my from line hold them off the longer I can hold the beach or were ever the front line is the stronger my rear lines get so when the enemy kills or forces me to retreat the frontline the beach in this case the next line is even more formidable lol 😎😂

@The Shermanator I love your videos and I need more defensive battles, however those posts are not scripted with mines attached to them. Those posts were specifically designed to destroy landing craft if they attempted to land during high tide. The germans believed that the allies would land during high tide and thus give their troops less beach to cover so they germans devised those defenses in order for the higgins boats to hit them with their bottoms during higher water levers. Love your stuff

Most games have a hard time accurately depicting the landings. Like I kept thinking you were going to be screwed because you did not seem to have many soldiers or machine gun emplacements or panzers in reserve
I agree totally. They just left out the paratrooper divisions which wiped out everything beyond the beach.
+Matthew Siano wiped out? well 80% of them had to scramble to find each other and it was offent by complete chance they made any progress.
Actually the paratroopers did an outstanding job, but the infantry at the beach took all the credit. The paratroopers had less than 20 men per squad, and managed to take on and beat groups of enemies way more than twice their size. They were responsible for just about everything just after the beach. They were simply better than normal infantry. They trained harder and showed it, too.
Their real impact was first after 12 hours after they landed and the only company with real impact within a few hours was (1st 2nd battalions, 501st PIR, 3rd battalion, 506th PIR, 326th airborne Enginer battalion) from the US 101st airborne and only 826 men from that company hit the drop zone out of more than 6600 men only around 300-400 hit the other 3 drop zones. The entire of 101st and 82nd was not ready for combat again before 1 month and 17 day's after the landing over 250 men drowned because of the parashoot was so complicated.
Well I'm poorly educated on the topic, I only know what I've read in books. And as far as I know they did well. I guess I've only read about the good paratroopers, then.

Dang.. I would count that as a major victory if I were the Germans. If the Americans had won more battles like that, they would have lost the war. 1100 US losses compared to only 90 German losses.
Not really. Russia would have ended up taking Berlin and winning the war anyway. The only thing we did was keep Western Europe out of Russian hands really. If they didn't have the threat of starting a war with America, a world power with superior logistics and having only having suffered minimal casualties compared to their 11+ million people already, I have no doubt they would have just kept marching West.
SniperInTheBushes95 If America stayed out of the war completely, the UK probably would have fallen and Africa to the Germans. Russia might have been able to break through the Germans, but that's a lot since they now had fuel, their tanks were much more superior, and they only had to fight a one man front. As much as America didn't do much, we still helped win the war.

tippy4674 Superior as in, there was millions, a mostly heavier cannon, but lighter armor. The tanks could also outrun a Tiger heavy tank, and probably even it's turning radius, giving it the edge in a prolonged fight if they can move around. Also, the Kv-8 is worse? Dude, the fucking Americans DIDNT HAVE ANY HEAVY TANKS, their "Heaviest" would weight into a Medium Panther. The Russians hadt he KV-8s, IS-1-2s, some pretty damn heavy tanks. The Su-100 was also a really good tank destroyer. Also, 'that's just t-34s. The Russians had more than that. Just so ya know.
I suggest you look up penetration stats for the Soviet guns then, they weren't anything special, the F-34 had worse penetration than the 75mm M3 cannon on the M4 Sherman, this was finally solved in the later 85mm version which is comparable to the 76mm M1 cannon and the or the 88mm and not to mention the 122mm gun using two piece ammo. If you look up AFV losses for the entirety of the war the Soviets suffered heavy and totally inexcusable losses.

i wish it was possible to make a realistic mod of d-day.
first waves did nothing. just sitting down to the sea and trying to find cover, at some point they just quited trying to attack. after MANY waves later 600 men managed to pass. i wish there was a way ti do that in-game too. attackers have no hope until the germans start gettting low on ammo

wen you said my mg42 has already fired 1000 shots the real mg42 could fire 1500 shots a minute that's 25 shots per second so if you think 1000 shot is a lot think again
Mabye so but its not like the bullets were a waste the units have aimbot in a way it wont shoot unless it sees a target
So it proboly wont waste bullets on spraying or suppressing fire
Key word "could". In real life scenarios these fire rates were rarely attained. And even if they were,the barrel was shot (hehe) after a minute of maintaining that fire rate, jams and reloads notwithstanding.
